Checks by the Commission, however, flagged Helen Aduru, an upcoming actress, as a mere publicity- seeking player, with a poorly- scripted claim that has fallen flat in the face of unassailable facts available to the Commission .
In her script, she was quick to include five names of officers she claimed came from the Cybercrime Section of the Enugu Command of the Commission. Characteristically, EFCC's officers don't wear name tags nor move around with bulldozer- shaped equipment to pull down security doors. . .
Aduru claimed, rather strangely, that she was assisted by a little boy, to a Police Station at 3:44 am but met the station shut. It is important to note that Police Stations are not civil service ministries that "close" in the evening. Even more preposterous is the fact that she never went back, at daybreak, to lodge a complaint. .
More poignantly untenable is the fact that her purported assault of July 21, 2022, which has not been logged nearly two months later at the Police Station is only being brought to public glare on September 2, 2022!!

Oh, by the way, the writer of the report did not finish the woman. The writer did not present the EFCC in good lights even if the allegation against the Comission is false. An almost abusive response is not generally accepted as appropriate in official reply to a complaint by a citizen no matter how baseless or false the complaint may be.

ReplyDeleteNo matter how EFFC tries to divert attention or deny this, they did what they were accused. EFCC has busted neighbours' apartments in my old compound by 3am. One of the apartments had their faulty google map on this flat lived by a lady accusing her that a phone number used to scam folks was traced to her apartment. They destroyed the gate and her flat. Walls. Everything. They finally said "sorry", it was a mistake.

EFCC came to our apartment, broke down our door and other tenants doors, beat all of us up. They were numbering over 10. If you see slap, despite that I'm a woman. we kept asking what we did, they were just shouting wey them wey them. They stole our laptop chargers and other things from our flat. This happend 2 months ago. Lawless country, lawless individual. I believe Helen Duru and Emeka Rollas. If you go to their Enugu office all their heads are Hausa Fulani people.
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmm I'm still looking for strength to type what happened in my house at the beginning of last month. At 3am guys... 3 am! . They broke our gate and entered our house. If not for my husband's friend that came visiting and was crashing at the sitting room; who rushed in to our bedroom without knocking to inform us, we would have woken up to two uniform men with a heavy guns pointing at us. They searched every where including my kitchen... The only thing they could utter while my husband was asking them why they were in our house was that they got infos. I was so angry and scared at the same time. They couldn't do much. Maybe because they saw my big tummy. This encounter made me realize how unsafe we are in this country.
