THURSDAY IN HOUSE NEWS

Hailings from a Country with extremely hot Weather!

IN HOUSE MEMO....

I posted five names Yesterday for giveaway and only 3 contacted me, I have sent to them and the other two should try again next time..... I waited the whole day Yesterday and until when i sent to the three.....If you see your name act before the day isover or someone else gets the space since the names are a lot

There are too many new IDs.... Why do you wait until there is a giveaway before you come forward with your ID and tell me you have been reading the blog for 100 years but no proof? Is it not better to play safe with someone i see all the time?

That was how Austin and co appeared, got giveaways and vanished... e dey pain oh....lol

Tomorrow i will post the last 8 names of the 100k each recipients.

The process of picking names from a lot and trying to decide who gets or not is emotionally draining, even Angel KOOF refused to be part of the process for the same reason...I just like to do it and quickly move on to something else...

For the person who asked after Angel PEE , he is fine and a massive giveaway for 5 people is loading and we will cross that bridge when we get there.... I plan to also embezzo part of this money so no need to insult me when the giveaway starts...

Have a nice day!

INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD

My boy was eating chocolate and drinking Caprisonne at the same time and it got me thinking about their sugar intake in kids.

Kids sugar intake are at an all time high compared to the 90s, I took a lot of sugary stuff growing up, spent most of my money on Sisi pelebe ( groundnut candy) and baba dudu (burnt sugar candy) but kids these days have access to way more.

I started to check the sugar content of most of their drinks and food and it was scary. Their yoghurt, juices, ketchup, cereals, drugs such as paracetamol, multivitamins and even their fortified milk have high amounts of added sugar.

The AHA( American Heart Association) recommends that sugar given to kids between ages two to eight should be around 24 grams per day which is around 6 teaspoons. A pack of kid's juice ( 100ml) has around 7grams already.

Too much sugar intake for kids can cause obesity, tooth decay, heart diseases etc.

I am trying to reduce my kids access to added sugar. There are still natural occurring sugar such as the one present in fruits and all to deal with.

There is Sugar added to Paracetamol? How?

IMPORTANT INFO IF YOU HAVE A CHILD AND LIVE IN NIGERIA

Dear Parents,

Holidays are here, pls take note of the following :

Child molestation
S#xual abuse,
R#pe

Child predators are everywhere seeking for whom to devour and you really don't want to see this happen to your princes and princesses.

Be extra careful.

A. Know where your children or wards are per time.

B. Leave them with very responsible and reasonable, not just some respectable adult jerks.

B. Avoid leaving children alone for too long.

C. Apply safety measures in and around the house.

D. Secure your home and be vigilant.

E. Check and understand why your kids like an adult and check why some adults repel them.

F. Don't be caught up in this wayward society. Wear modest and decent clothing for your girls.

G. Holidaymakers. ..... Don't send your kids off to their grannies without helps around. Most Grannies are weak, vulnerable and not so disciplined anymore. Don't burden them with children stress.

H. Don't accommodate other kids you can't care for in the name of holiday.

I. Watch your teenagers.

J. Get closer to your children and wards this holiday.

Keep close, embrace your children ,pray and play together.

They can watch television but be mindful of what goes into their mind. Most of the time ,a lot of accidents could have been avoided.

Always give them reasons to appreciate life more.

Do have a wonderful week and a lovely fun filled holiday.

  13. There's flavoured paracetamol syrup which is sweeter than the regular one for kids. When my baby had a high temperature after the previous vaccination she had, I gave her paracetamol which kept vomiting with breast milk (thrice), even after waiting for about 30 minutes after breastfeeding before giving it to her. Then I bought the flavoured paracetamol and administered, she didn't vomit until the fever subsided.

    1. Motherhood poster.

      I beg to disagree...
From your Caprisonne* I believe you're in Nigeria, the gospel truth is that these kids in this generation don't even have enough sugar in their system.
We had a whole lot back in the days and when you enter School, there's The Tuck Shop where you use your family's vouchers in school to munch and lick all sorts at breaktime. We had SUGAR, sweetened goodies at the snap of fingers, doughnuts and pastries had the smallest dust off of granulated sugar but there was a difference. We were in "Good schools", good because they were completely a BMS, whether local or an Ivy, hot puffpuff from Iya Basira at the junction near school gate had extra sugar sprinkled on them, we had good training:
      1. B...The Body is trained in the expansive school sports and tracks field.
      2. M...The Mind is trained in the spacious equipped classrooms.
      3. S...The School had Chapels for the Christians, mosque for the Moslems or a small temple for the few Hindus depending on the state where it was located for training THE SOUL "S".
No 1 was the most important to the teachers, they needed to churn out strong healthy pupils.
That's where you get to shed off all the accumulated sugars.
Today, kids are sent to mini event centers of 5 classrooms somewhere in the neighborhood,no church no field or a 3floors Academy without a field called an International (?) School. They technically don't EXERCISE THEIR BONES. Imagine that!

Then all the sugar is left in them resulting in many funnny illnesses.
You can limit their sugar intake all by yourself, guard your own.
For 22 years of my life I always made Jaggery powder,it's wayyy better than sugar.
Try make friends with the mallams at Iddo Food Market in Oyingbo for quality hausa sugarcane or those at Okomaiko area,it comes cheap and get your fingers working.
Please insist on the very reddish big stumps.
Make your own sugar and panic less dear.

      WhatsApp poster.
      Awesome post. Thanks .
You wanna have peace of mind?
Make your kids your best friends. Talk with them don't talk to them you'll have less fears.

Last year was louder though I was a spring chicken on one foot but this year? Damn! I think I missed my calling being a performing artist, it's alright.
It was the busiest weekend because our 1st son finally joined us after a full year+,he had to round off what we started and God being God,he nailed many exams ,in few weeks he takes off to a good one again, scholarship mode still buzzing for him, we're praying and evaluating many facts before he matriculates and please all those who prayed with me in the past should collect his number on the other side,do a video call but please don't scream ,young Chief at 15+ has returned as Mr Femi Sowoolu, the voice over artiste. πŸ™†‍♀️πŸ₯ΊπŸ€ And making his DH's muscles look like a joke. Hahahahaha.
