    I watched a local football match in a school playing ground. As I sat down, I asked one of the boys what the score was.
    With a smile, he replied; "They are leading us 3-0" !
    And I said, REALLY!!
    I have to say you don't look discouraged.
    "Discouraged?" the boy asked with a puzzled look ...
    Why should I be discouraged when the referee has not blown the final whistle?
    I have confidence in the team and the managers; We shall definitely overcome!
    Truly, the match ended 5-4 in favor of the boy's team!
    He waved at me gently, with a beautiful smile as he left; I was amazed, mouth wide open; Such confidence; Such beautiful faith;
    As I got back home that night, his question kept coming back to me:
    "Why should I be discouraged when the referee has not blown the final whistle?"
    Life is like a game.
    Why should you be discouraged when The Almighty God is your manager? Why should you be discouraged, whist there's still life? Why should you be discouraged when your final whistle has not sounded? The truth is that many people blow the final whistle themselves;
    But as long as there is life, nothing is impossible and it is never too late for you.
    Half time is not full time and HIS calendar for your life is not man's calendar.
    Don't blow the whistle yourself.
    BE ENCOURAGED! DON'T GIVE UP
    With God all things are possible!

      ALi B, even as christians, we sometimes try to understand the mystery of this things. The bible said, in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. So where was Him before He created the heaven? So there was actually a place before heaven.

      I don't know the people who actually wrote the Bible or translate it but then I think and believe a lot wasn't contained therein or rather omitted.

      For example, when Cain was chased away as a wanderer, who did he marry over there? So aside Cain and Abel, there were people already in existence? Was it just Adam and Eve God created or there was other people? I could go on and on.

      Anon 10:23, how you people reason here baffles me alot. Where in my comment did I question the existence of God? I said it's either some things were omitted or not written in the bible how does that mean I'm doubting the existence of God. Or did the questions I asked especially that of Cain so bad for one to know the answer?

      Even a passage in the book of Matthew says not everything was written in the bible else no book can contain it. So you see my questions were valid.

      Teejay: When it comes to the Bible and Jesus, it's either you believe FULLY or you don't believe at all. The Bible was written by mortals, but INSPIRED by God. If you doubt the authenticity of the Word of God, then I question your faith in the God you profess. Jesus said to Thomas, "You believe because you have seen. Blessed are those who have not seen, but yet believe". That's what faith is bro. Substance of things hoped for. Evidence of things not seen. I'd you have absolute faith in this Jesus, you will not doubt anything in the WORD He inspired.
      As for me, I have tasted, I have seen, and I can confirm, that there is a God, who sent His son to die, and that son is the ONLY way to Heaven!

    It was a different experience for me on Friday night. Before then, I was active on the blog on Friday all through till evening.

    Before Friday, I've been suffering from insomnia for sometime now as a result of stress and anxiety.

    I will lay on the bed by 9pm and could hardly sleep till 4am or even 5am. I struggled to sleep but to no avail. It was that bad I must say.

    By Monday I had developed symptoms of Malaria typhoid. I started treating it with drugs gotten from the pharmacy and it was subsidizing not until Friday evening it became so serious. Feeling so feverish and hotness of the body. I took the drugs I have but it seems there was no effect. I prayed just to sleep that night but I couldn't. I was awake all through till Saturday morning.

    Saturday morning it became severe. I was knocked down so heavily. It was a painful experience. Each time I tried to reach the fridge to get water I couldn't make it. I fell twice. I was so weak.

    My strength betrayed me.

    I managed to send short messages across to people to let them know what's happening to me for I've lost all form of strength in me.

    Someone whom I had sent message across, brought another set of drugs to me around 3pm. I took them and an hour later, I got relieved. I began feeling heat. It was then I took my bath and ate something.

    I feel much better this morning.

    I'm so grateful to God Almighty who preserved my life. To Him be all the Glory.

    Nothing can equate a good health, not even money.

    I have come to realise that most marriages is an extension of our parents marriage. A man who beats his wife might have a dad who beat his mum. We have to make an effort to create our own marriage serenity.

    If we are not careful,we will keep living our parents way of life both the good and the bad ones. Infuse the good routines and practices you learnt from your parents marriage and discard the bad ones.Because when our kids grow up and marry,they will infuse our practices and it goes on like that.

      How did you get your statistics? Most people whose parents had bad marriages strive hard to make their own better, to not repeat the mistakes of their parents. I have seen plenty case studies, mine inclusive. My dad hit my mum a few times while my hubby's dad was a chronic wife beater, first wife left, his own mum left him and he is with his third wife. Guess what, we don't fight often, never been physical before just mouth quarrel once in a while which is normal between couples. No family member has ever settled quarrel for us, we make up on our own. It's been 15 yrs of a good marriage, no cheating or maltreatment and no, we are not poor. Same with two of my friends and many of my former neighbors while growing up.
