What a country!
ReplyDeleteThis Assu/Fed Gov't war has turned to survival of the fittest.
ReplyDeleteThe only people I'm concerned about are the students.
But why are they expecting salary when they are not working?
ReplyDeleteEven in western countries, the policy is “no work, no pay”. That doesn’t stop anyone from going on strike.
The reason for the strike should be much bigger that monthly salary, so people can choose to make that sacrifice for a bigger purpose
Inform yourself about this issue. The teachers are on strike because of how the government wants to pay them in a way that weakens the universities' purses and autonomy. They are not striking for pay without work.
DeleteI just pity all the undergraduates that are missing out.
ReplyDeleteI wipe for this nation.oh!where did we get this wrong? youths are so frustrated now, they no longer have desire in education anymore.what a country!!!
ReplyDeleteweep
DeleteThis is not good at all, the way my country is messing with their educational system.
ReplyDeleteAsuu is mean, they don't even consider the students they are wasting their destinies, The Federal Government was paying them when they were working. The decided to stop work and be paid?
ReplyDeleteI have no pity whatsoever for ASUU, they are so mean. I pity students.
DeleteYou expect to get paid when you don't work? let them feel the heat too.
Am a hanging graduate,am frustrated and emotionally downcastðŸ˜ðŸ˜,i tried looking for job but always end in disappointment,i want to learn a skill no money,i want to start a business no money but i will not give up because i know my God will never give up on me❤❤
Delete@oboro. Download UDemy app. There are software skills like AWS practioner, python, digital marketing, graphic design you can acquire with as low as 5k, that’s likely the amount you spend on data for Instagram and Facebook. With graphic design you can start advertising by designing posters for brands and you will get more jobs from there.
DeleteThe destinies of the staff have also been wasted by the government who pay teaching staff peanuts. This means the children of academics are living like paupers with their own destinies bring wasted. Empathy for all sides is required here.
DeleteWhile Their children go abroad to study, our are here wallowing in ....
ReplyDeleteSo my baby girl decided to pick small job at a boutique and the woman said 8:am to 9:pm for 12k . Madam Isi gini ? No be slavery be this one? Told her to stop plsss and continue what she's learning at home. 12k can not buy Life with the level of insecurity in the country now. I can't fit shout o. Hunger no go kill us Nne !
Wow… And a sec school leaver felt the 20k i want to pay for a 4pm to 9pm job (just serving of already prepared meals in a takeaway pack to customers) is too small.
DeleteWell, it’s a new bizz that’s yet to kick off (a mini fast food) and I’ve got to hire other people too so I can’t be overly with their start up pay.
Why should ASUU members expect to be paid when they did not work? Nonsense! They think they can always hold the country (government and students) to ransom? Even if they call off the strike, govt should not pay them for the period of the strike - that is corruption and robbery/stealing of public funds, if they are paid and they agree to collect the money. They are part of the problems of Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteI am shocked that people who did not and have not gone to work for the past 6 months, are expecting to get paid. Last time l checked, it's no work, no pay.
ReplyDeleteSMH,
ReplyDeleteWhen will it ever get better in this country?
It's not good at all
