In a statement shared on Facebook, he said;
"RE: BEAUTY TUKURA, LAWYER AND FORMER MISS NIGERIA DISQUALIFIED FROM BBNAIJA SEASON 7.
My attention and I guess of a large number of lawyers in Nigeria have been drawn to news reports that one Beauty Tukura, who is claimed and/or claims to be a lawyer participated and also got ignominiously disqualified from the on-going Big Brother Naija reality show "for throwing her wig and glasses at" a co-participant in the live show being watched by millions around the world after a party.
These reports have been very embarrassing to most members of the legal profession and may in all reasonable probability bring the profession into disrepute if found to be true. A quick check of the databases of the Roll of Legal Practitioners kept in the Supreme Court and the Nigerian Bar Association failed to reveal the name "Beauty Tukura" to be on the Supreme Court Roll or to be a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
However, I hereby appeal to anyone who may be aware of her true name assuming we may have gotten her real name wrong to reach out to me.
Thank you."
*Una no get work oh!
What if she used a different name.
ReplyDeleteThat's why he said u shd reach out to him.
DeleteLawyers and their reputation ๐
Delete๐ Stella don't insult our VP biko.
ReplyDeleteIssorite
ReplyDeleteIs alright..just know that, there is God oooo
ReplyDeleteWahalur
ReplyDeleteWhat is their own in this matter, later they will say they don't watch BBN. Hypocrites everywhere.
ReplyDeleteI wonder oo, I don't watch, I don't watch, how did they even know her?
DeleteTruly they no get work.. lol
DeleteI don't watch but it's this news involving the Nigerian Bar that got me interested. Every institution has its reputation to protect. Do 'respect' and 'integrity' really sound that strange to some of u?
DeleteI wonder ooo @anon 16:26
DeleteThat's why all the shouts of my pvc and your pvc sound hollow. Most Nigerians make mainly sentimental decisions on public issues.
DeleteMaybe using different name. God will help us
ReplyDeleteWahala everywhere ๐ฉ
ReplyDeleteLittle thing like this everybody will start disassociating.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to her.
See the terrible write up coming from a VP and a lawyer. Honestly naija has a long way to go.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she's yet to be called to bar.
ReplyDeleteExactly. She may have an LLB but not yet gone to law school
DeleteOga who ask you?
ReplyDeleteHis job asked him.
DeleteHahaha wahala be like keke oo, beauty what d you have to say in this matter Abeg make una leave this girl alone oo she is traumatized and they are adding more trauma ikwakwakwakwa
ReplyDeleteMust they show themselves.nawah o
ReplyDeleteAnd her life outside big brother begins... the good, the bad and the ugly.
ReplyDeleteNa wa o. Being disqualified is hard enough, allow the girl catch a breath. Of all the issues in Nigeria...
ReplyDeleteWhy are they just speaking up now?
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't they deny her when she entered the house.
Hy.po.crites.
Question: Is she a lawyer or not?
ReplyDeleteAnswer: The name is not on the roll of lawyers in Nigeria. But if she is enrolled by another name bring it for verification.
Nothing wrong with this answer. Her name on the BBN show may be a stage, showbiz, or craft name.
Being a lawyer is not being a greater person or a more qualified person, or more intelligent person.
But a person who knows he or she is not professionally certified or enrolled by a statutory professional body should not claim in public to be so certified or enrolled. It is passing off and a false claim.
A former Commissioner in Lagos State used to call himself Engineer... When he was exposed as having only an OND, he quietly and quickly dropped the tag from his name.
Anyway, the NBA statement is what BBN is about. A person who chooses to expose her life to the view and votes of the public should expect votes of all kinds.
Nothing wrong here. All professional bodies should have this kind of time.
Na inferiority complex dey do such people. Own your shit✌๐ฝ
DeleteYeyenatu bar
ReplyDeleteTo them they r d most orgainised right from sch to their law sch
But na dem useless pass wen it comes to delievering
Na dem add to Naija prob reach where we dey so
Nobody wants to be associated with filt, that's why it's said that a good name is better than money. Its left to her to defend herself and learn her lesson.Theres no reward in bad behavior.
ReplyDeleteIf she had won, the story would have been different. Everyone wants to associate with success.
ReplyDeleteSo if she had won would the NBA have debunked her statement? I guess no. Smh
ReplyDeleteSo let her bear that in mind next time, and act like a winner.
DeleteYes. Even lawyers who sign documents wrongly (in their firm's name instead of their enrolled name) have been denied hearing of their clients cases in court.
DeleteWhat is winning a TV show got to do with professional registration.
Nigerian lawyers have made landmarks in foreign schools and bars. How many times have you seen a congratulatory messages from NBA on such feats.
A Doctor could not claim for defamation when the Medical Board denied he was a Doctor because he rearranged his name than as in the roll of registered Doctors in Nigeria
Hmm!
ReplyDeleteNobody wants to associate with failure but everyone associates with success.
A good case study: Tobi Amusan 's success story made her former school both the one which she attended at Ijebu Ode and the one at Yaba, Our Lady of Apostle to publicly claim her as their Alumna while the contrast is the case of Beauty Tukura.
Anik
Oil full your head
DeleteMchewwwww. Long hisssss at their write up๐ ๐
ReplyDeleteLong applause rather!
DeleteSimple No or Yes
ReplyDeleteMaybe she attended National Open University, them no de go law school.
ReplyDeleteNa wa
ReplyDeleteThey have a reputation to protect
ReplyDeleteAlexa
Is possible her amen showed on their database but just to dis associate with her for her bad behavior they are forming her name is not in their database.
ReplyDeleteSurely you intend this as the typical Nigerian cruise comment.
