INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD

Mom guilt is a feeling of inadequacy or a feeling of never doing right enough by one's children. I have struggled greatly in the past with mom guilt and still struggle once in a while but it's getting better.

It started from the first day I held my child for the first time in my hands and I was so scared of messing up his life.

I had set this goals of how a perfect mom should be and I felt overwhelmed with the whole birthing experience.

As my boys grew, I felt more inadequate because I wasn’t being the perfect mom I envisaged. I was yelling, spanking at times, struggling with chores and trying to protect them from every bruise and scrapes till I almost broke down.

I am way better now because I know there is nothing like a perfect mom or perfect child and childhood experience. Life is meant to be filled with its own ups and downs so is motherhood.

We win some and we loose some. My motto now is do my best and leave the rest. They will turn out well, I refuse to build unnecessary expectations.

I apologise to my little toddlers when I am wrong and move on without beating myself up. “We all go dey alright Las las".

My daily affirmation now is I am a good mom and my kids are good kids and that we are blessed to have each other.

You dey make motherhood hungry person.....

IJEOMAS GIST CORNER

Something tragic happened recently to someone close to me. E get One man wey get fine wife and four children, this man told his wife he was going to the city for business (they live in the villa). Not knowing he was going to meet his mistress, na so this man kpai on top him mistress as dem dey do de do.

Mistress carry herself jejely go report to police with fear sey her bobo kpai for her house and even confessed they both took drugs during their jolly moment, maybe na him Mek de man delete.

Naso police begin call family members to come claim the man body go bury. Wifey, on hearing how her hubby take kpai, no gree drop even the tiniest tears. Naso she dey shine eye like torchlight dey observe. Family just jejely carry am put for mother earth. Na de mistress matter dem still dey settle so

E just be like sey 'mistressary and sugar daddary' matter no go finish as e be sey e don commot another married woman for her home.

There is a lady that had an affair with another man living in the same street. The lady in question has two lovely kids and a young husband who according to insiders provided everything for her cos he's rich. While the other man she was having the affair with is older than her husband, has kids and a wife too. Rumour just dey fly sey the two get something, but her hubby didn't believe until the day devil decided to play smart on them. They were caught pants down.

Na so the hubby pursue her commot for him house. While the older man went back to his wife who readily forgave him. Older man is happily living with his wife and kids while she was sent packing, back to her poor mom in the villa. The man just took his kids and married another baby geh sharperly.

My big sis was telling me about one of her classmates that got another lady pregnant recently. His wife doesn't usually follow him to the villa, anytime he goes home to the villa, na another woman wey be him tenant dey cook give am. Naso the lady cook the other food in one of his visits come get preg for am. Now everyone is supporting the side chick, family is saying if wife is not ready to accommodate side chick she should be sent home to her people. Their annoyance be sey wifey doesn't like visiting home, say na city woman.

Why will she be in the city while another woman cooks for her hubby in the villa. Side chick head is up cos of the moral wey dem dey give am. She's occupying the villa house with pride while wifey is controlling the one in the city

Na wah, this one nah a tale of wives and side chicks.

FROM THE COMMENT SECTION - MAKE UNA REASON AM

''Na question I wan ask o. If you dey do POS and your husband be carpenter. And person give your husband contract to do work. And because the husband no get ATM and na weekend.

The client now paid the husband's money over 700k into the wife's account. So that she will withdraw and give the husband.

Now the POS lady is then asking the client to pay her for POS charges. On top money meant for her And the hubby. Abeg, if you be the client, wetin you go do? Is the wife meant to demand for charges from the client?

How una reason the matter?

I dont understand this  at all...can some re explain it to me?

He is the one who wants fo withdraw from the POS and so he should pay. However, if the client insisted on sending to the woman then he ought to pay for charges because na her business be that.

The woman also should be wise. The benefit is for both her and hubby na.

  14. A samaritan woman gave a big contract to a man who is a carpenter on her street. The wife of the carpenter does POS business. After completing the contract, the samaritan woman decided to pay the carpenter but he didnt have an ATM card, because it was a weekend, he knew he couldn't go to the bank to withdraw. So the carpenter told the samaritan woman to please send the money to his wife's account cos she has ATM and does POS. After the samaritan woman sent the payment to the account, the wife told the husband to ask the samaritan woman to send POS transfer charges on the N780k. Is she right to have asked?

Since the money was paid to the wife's POS account for the husband sake, If there was agreement for the client to pay the charge before no wahala.

In Nigeria, pos operators act like bankers who can give u cash at anytime, any day and at anywhere as long as they collect charges on every amount been given to u.their charges happens to be their gain.so the difference between them and a bank,is that they collect charges immediately on every amount paid to u while in a bank, they collect charges only at month end by saying a.t.m maintenance fees e.t.c

  25. Stella that pidgin gist simply means that hubby is a carpenter and wife owns a POS outlet, hubby's client wanted to pay hubby for a job but since it was weekend and hubby does not have ATM card, the client now paid the over 700k into the wife's account that she uses for POS. The wife is now demanding for transaction charges from the client as per POS operator that she is. The writer now asked if the wife is right to demand for charges from her husband's client.

My own take is that the wife 's business is different from husband's business, she has a right to demand for charges, with a discount.

    2) If the husband is nothing but stingy and doesn’t take care of his home front;she should demand the charges from him and not his prospective customer..
It’s now up to him to demand the extra charges from his prospective customer or pay it to his wife himself..

His action towards her in the past will tell her reaction in this case..

    3) If she is team “Let peace reign”;she would let go of the charges more especially if she uses Opay cos all deposits are free and without VAT..

Life is what you make out of it..

    2. Martins, business is business.

You may see that her charges as small money but that small money will become big when you gather it.
Like our people will say "ejiro akpata etufuo aba ogaranya"

Picture it this way, a client wants to give your wife a contract worth 700k but the client's phone battery is dead. The client walks into your shop, pick a charger, charged his/her phone, sent your wife the 700k and left with the charger.
I know charger is small money compared to the profit in the 700k deal, but talk true, won't you collect money for your charger?
If you continue giving out charger like that, how will the business survive?

Whether her husband is generous or stingy to her, her husband and his client should decide between them and pay the lady her charges.

      Delete

Let's reason together, I want to send you money for a job, you claim not to have an account, then provided your wife's account for me to send the money.. now I send the money to you and your wife is asking I also send more money for pos charges..

      Bro, that's wrong.

      1. You were the one who don't have an account, and provided your wife's, why should I be the one to pay for your negligence?

      2. You didn't tell me before hand that I'll be the one to foot POS charges for you to withdraw the cash I sent to your wife's account which you provided in place of yours

      3. The wife has no business with the client, it's her husband that sent the account, she should direct every ish to her husband,.

      4. It's like asking a client transportation fare that you'll use to go to the bank to go and withdraw money paid..

If not for unnecessary greed sef, no be transfer dem transfer the money enter the account? No be either transfer or withdrawal from bank she go use collect the money? What has she got to lose here? Is it not her husband's?

Business is business but of course there must be exceptionally cases..
