Former governor of Plateau State Joshua Dariye is set to run for a senatorial seat in the 2023 general elections, barely three days after he was released from prison.
Dariye has reportedly been offered a senatorial ticket by the Labour Party in Plateau State.
Dariye and former Taraba governor, Jolly Nyame, were among those released from prison on Monday, August 8, 2022. His release came after a presidential pardon by President Muhammadu Buhari. The Council of State led by the president had on April 14, 2022 granted presidential pardon to the ex-governors and 157 others.
