    1. Paragraph 2 well said. The Bible says so.
Hope you would remember this when a woman drops the next chronicle on a man.

    2. "First to talk no dey always talk true"?

Generally, the first person to talk twist the facts even without lying or tell only the truth that favours him or her. Hope we all rember this when commenting on chronicles, and we are tempted to abuse an entire gender on basis of "one person's first to talk."

    1. We should be celebrating the quality of a marriage rather than its length.

Many of our parents have had lengthy marriages, but how many of them were good? If we start analyzing their marriages based on what we know today (e.g., high tolerance for abuse, cheating and its byproducts, control/manipulation, etc.), we'll see how dysfunctional they were. Unfortunately, we suffered the direct effects of those dysfunctional arrangements called marriages and shouldn’t be judged for not wanting to tolerate the same things they did. Do we want Quality or Quantity (# of years)?

Instead of comparing marriages of this generation with our parents, we should be focused on creating mentally healthy environments for ourselves and our children. For singles, it’s also important to pray for God’s grace to choose the right partner in order to increase our chances of long and healthy marriages.
