Nigerian youths are copying western youths, following all these #challenges & fads, shallow trends, bbl, etc forgetting that those who are the engines behind the superficial SM you use are the real youth MVPs, the Engineers, the scientists etc. Forensic science in the West is very advanced. Autopsies are commonplace & murderers don’t usually go unpunished due to tech & forensic science. If your spouse dies here, there will be a routine investigation to rule out foul play. They will detect metabolites of any poison if you think you will get away. The Lagos police said they had to do toxicology test in Sly’s unfortunate death abroad😳 something every county/local government here can do.
ReplyDeleteImagine how many murders are being passed off as natural death in Nigeria due to lack of a forensic policing policy, science & a culture that values every life!. It’s easy to get away with murder by poisoning in Naija. May God help the innocents. Fight to fix Naija, “e get why”…pray not to be a victim of a wicked spouse, family or friend or even businesses that sell expired moldy food! Some food & med ingredients are routinely recalled here due to scientific findings of bad things there. Guess what, the selfish buyers of those things who have imported them into Naija are not usually notified of such recalls. Naija has to change, the country is running out of options & youths need to drive the process.
SM is a blessing to the misruled if used properly. We use it here to contact & communicate our displeasure to our politicians, waiting for them to ask for our votes again if they do nothing. It’s like a family with Keke Napep imitating a family with Porsches & Mercedes’ because the all can move. Nigeria is like 100 years behind in science & Tech. The west needs us as consumers because all we do is return their $ to them by importing everything from clothes to flowers & home decor without any manufacturing. We make almost nothing from the scratch, even most Garri here is Ghana Garri. Everyone is looking for (or at the) $ rate like Americans care about the Naira rate! The obsession with $ rate in Nigeria is troubling & it’s because we import nonsense as trading is everyone’s hustle & export very little to get the $. Why don’t we stop rushing to buy $ to import all the junk made by others who manufacture & provide jobs to their people.
Those who claim they are good in business in Nigeria are mostly traders & assemblers! Let’s start making demands of the rulers, the cronies who benefitted & became billionaires. DM them en masse to set up manufacturing plant from the oil blocks they got free! Stop fawning over their spoilt kids & side chica who spend your tax money while condemning the goverment they get money from. Use the power of access that SM gives. It’s not just to make money from skits, wigs from Asia etc. it’s time to start putting pressure on the beneficiaries of Nigerian oil wealth loot to give back via manufacturing g job creation👌🏾Shame their I’ll gotten acquisitions online. We need to get serious about tackling the problems of Naija. Peter OBI may be elected but be helpless if there is no mass awareness to help bring change. Like President Obama said, “we are the ones we have been waiting for”. Above all do all you can to not elect a sick senile man into power because his friends will be governing & looting as he cannot read a policy paper page or rule the country! Wake up…collect your money, your commonwealth is in the hands of the “rich” you hail & their kids. SM gives you access. Access en masse shames & May awaken their dead conscience!
