- The Police Command in Lagos State has placed its operatives on red alert over alleged plans to attack the State. This is contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the command’s spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin.

-. There is tension in Ogbunike, in the Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, over the killing of a 40-year-old woman, Mrs Nkiru Okoye. It was gathered that the deceased, who was the wife of a mechanical engineer, Emenike Okoye, was allegedly beaten to death by her brother-in-law, George Okoye, over disputed landed property.
-. Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have intercepted 2,750,000 tablets of tramadol 225mg weighing 1,650 kilogrammes, worth N1, 375,000,000 at the Apapa seaport in Lagos. It was learnt that the consignment, packed in 55 cartons of tapentadol and carisoprodol types of tramadol, was seized during the examination of a container on Saturday.
- The family of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, have called on the international community to intervene and compel Nigeria to promptly and unconditionally release Kanu and refrain from further persecution of the proscribed group.
