TUESDAY IN HOUSE NEWS...

 I salute you all....

IN HOUSE MEMO

How is everyone doing......
So we had a test done and my hubby and I both have COVID 19 but thank God the Bambinos are OK and staying away from us.. We live in a big house so everyone is scattered and the Bambinos are running around with face masks and gloves to attend to us......

Anyone that ever said this COVID is not real eh, may Amadioha strike the hand or mouth you use to relay that info.......

I am here stuck n my room, the TV is off cos i dont feel like watching, my phones are by the side cos i dont feel like using them....Not eaten in days, I am not hungry, only been taking fluids.

May i and my sweet hubby get well soon in Jesus name........

Enjoy your day and use a mask in crowded places...... The warning for covid infection is down so the risk of catching it is more... They call it typhoid and Malaria in Nigeria, we call it COVID 19 abroad.... go figure.

NSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD

When i was growing up, my mom always bought oversized clothes, I mean several sizes too big. My shoes usually needed tissue paper stuffed in to be worn comfortably. It continued till I became a teenager.

I once had a jeans gown that was bought when I was in my first year of secondary school and it wasn’t my perfect size till my first year in university.

I hated it and vowed to always buy fitted clothes for my kids. So when I became pregnant with my first and I went shopping, I bought mainly the small and cute baby outfits against my mom’s advice.

Not only did my son come out big, he had almost tripled his birth weight by the time he was three months old, so he had outgrown almost all of his clothes.

He didn’t even get to wear the new born clothes I bought because they were too small.

Since then I buy a size or two bigger for my kids, not as extreme as my mom but big enough to give room for growth.

I suffered same thing, had to give out most of my baby clothes cos tey were waaaay to small.....some of the materials become smaller after washing, especially if you use a washing machine....

I also reverted to buying bigger clothes but not as big as what your mum bought...

PINKYS CORNER

Marriage As An Institution

Everything has an expiry date.....
Every marriage has its own ups and down but a good home and a better marriage only has an expiry day which is (death do them part) but any home which is not built on love and heart filled with pure system will always have an expiry date.

As a man, you need to take away your EGO and put at the back of your mind that your wife is a partner and an help mate and not a slave. One funny thing is, my wife is always online here, reading whatever is being posted by Stella and immediately she comes home, she is always giving me a hug and a passionate kiss as an appreciation. Why? because, I do what I preach.

Aside from some common mistakes made by men in marriage, we all should know that, in order to have peace, we all need to let go of our ego and take our wife as our blood sisters. We should show them love and always appreciate them as at when due. The following are things we should all avoid, if we want peace:
*Don't compare your wife with your ex or your neighbor's wife vice versa.
*keep your marital life away from your friends.
*Treat your wife as your blood and let go of your ego.(men in particular).
*Appreciate your wife and always complement her,no matter how small vice versa.
*Set a boundary between you-wife and your family (if you know you know).
*Don't forget that her weak point is your strength and yours is her strength (which means, be sincere and straight forward).
*Be a good listener because women can frustrate you with repeated words even at mid-night.
*share house chores if necessary in order to ease her of the stress.

Don't forget that, what works for A won't work for B but all other things been equal, always follow your own pattern and give your wife the due respect because women are tend to be submissive to the last if they are truly loved and cherished.

You just hit the nail on the head by saying we should treat our spouses like our siblings but it is the most difficult for some to do and some once they get to this road, they cut of romantic entanglement and this makes it worse....

Marriage is not all about Romance forever...

OPINION NEEDED URGENTLY

Good day ma’am. I’m a huge fan of your blog, I’ve learnt a lot from here.

Thank you for your good work.
I need your opinion and that of the blog visitors.

I’m planning to go for my masters degree next year, preferably in Canada. I did my research and I know tuition is not cheap along side other daily expenses. I spoke to some friends and they gave me the contact of some good agencies to help ease the process.

I looked them up and they seem legit enough. One of them has a branch in Ontario, Canada and another one in Lagos. I’ve been talking to them and making enquiries about the processes involved, I also asked if I’d be eligible for any scholarship and they told me the schools they apply to offer scholarships. They guarantee that I’d get it.

I spoke to my big cousin about my plans since she’s also been pushing for me to go for the masters but then she told me that getting a Canadian scholarship is not as easy as anybody says it is. She says I’ll still pay a few thousand Canadian dollars which will include the tuition fees and they will only give me the scholarship if my first semester result is really good. She said this applies to both the partial and fully funded scholarship. She suggested applying to some other European countries that offer free tuition so with that I can only bother about other daily expenses.

Now my question is, do I listen to her advice and forget about the Canadian ambition since I can’t afford the tuition on my own or do I still go ahead with the agency.

The agency guarantees that I’ll get the admission and scholarship however after what my cousin said I’m skeptical about moving forward with them.
The agency says that application, visa processing and every other thing involved will amount to 1.3million naira or thereabouts.

I hate to think that I might pay this amount of money and still not succeed. Please I need your advice, opinion and any other thing that might be helpful.

 I’d really appreciate everybody’s input.

I dont know anything about Scholarships but i do know that in Germany tuition is free for foreigners.... You only pay some small amount of about 3 euros every session......

    9. @Stella, NOBODY ever said COVID IS NOT REAL. The bone of contention has been that the deep state guys are behind it, it is not a natural disease , and they have an agenda for going to the lab to create covid. Initially they were giving FALSE, infated figures of numbers if casualties to scare people but thankfully they were BUSTED. Covid is like common flu and not as deaddly as thay portrayed it for their wicked and selfish reasons. The story is long abeg but we thank God.

      Get well soon.

@poster seeking for scholarship, listen to your cousin. I gave someone same advice but he didn't listen until he was asked to pay 250K for them to release the admission details to him. Those agencies in Lagos are legit but they are not transparent. They will promise that you will get scholarship and make you spend money to get your transcript etc. to them. They will get you admission (into a college, not University o, and tell you how it's easier to get visa by going for a diploma course and how their niece also went through the same path and is now making mega bucks in Canada). The truth unravels when they inform you that you've gotten admission (With no scholarship) but will need to pay them 250,000 naira (I don't know what their current rate is now) as administrative fee for submitting your application for you. They will try to convince you that you can earn enough to pay your fees and sustain yourself when you go over. Remember that you still have to go for visa which will entail showing how your tuition and living costs will be paid. So without a scholarship and magomago, the chances of getting a visa is very slim and you would have wasted your time and funds. Go to Europe, you may have to learn the language which can be difficult for a newcomer but at least, you won't be worrying about your tuition.

If you insist on going ahead with Canada, please ensure that the school you apply to is on the list of approved schools whose graduates can get the 2 years work permit post graduation. The course of study is also very important as you don't want to spend thousands of dollars for a course in a field that Canadians work in without a University degree.

You also don't need a special agent to help with anything if you invest your time and internet on the school's websites. All the information you need will be there and there will be a contact email you can send your enquiries to if you are not clear Γ bout anything.

    4. Ekele, let me perch here so that the person seeking for admission in Canada will see this.
@ poster, please don't pay anybody anything to do it for you. You can do the process by yourself. My friends did theirs by themselves and two are there now with their family cos they included them while processing the visa aspect.
My cousin's neighbour also did hers by herself, left early this year and has processed for her hubby and kids. They left last month to join her.

So, I'll advice you take your time, read through every available information, seek for more info from people that has gone through it, then start your application and by God's grace, you'll get it.

I did USA by myself, got admission in all the schools I applied to and got funding from one of them, that covers my tuition, insurance and monthly stipends. So, go get it.

The price also would determine if you can buy it or not..

    2. Martins do you realize you can buy a brand new engine?
I bought a Nigerian used car although the mileage wasn't upto this one above, but it's been used for a while. I really needed a car and a friend was selling for a good price so I bought it.

Prior to that, he changed the engine of the car. Note not half engine ooo. He bought a brand new full engine and took out the old one so that car was as good as new. .

The body too was very neat and the price was very very okay.
I've used that car for 4years now and I hardly visit the mechanic. The only time I go is when I want to service it.

I just want to sell it now because I'm financially better than I was when I bought it and I'm due for a car upgrade if not eh, I will continue driving my car.

    6. I watched a YouTube video on wear and tear on cars. Stella may not post if I give the channel name but the video basically explained that it is better to buy a car with high mileage if the car was driven interstate than one with less mileage that was driven within the city. The one within the city will have more wear and tear from frequent braking, etc unlike the interstate driven car. The person lives in the US so his comparison was based on the road and traffic conditions over there.

  36. For the person wanting to go for Masters, what is your end goal? Are you looking to migrate or return to Naija? If you are returning then you might as well go to Europe possibly Germany as Stella suggested, tuition is free. If you want to migrate then Canada would make more sense. However don’t depend on what agents tell you, they will make it seem like Canada’s streets are lined with gold just waiting for you to pick it up. Do your own research on the University, some of the scholarships they offer will just cover a very minute part of your expenses. You may be lucky though that you get a scholarship that covers most of your tuition/expenses but I would advice you do your research and not depend on third parties.

  61. To the Poster that wants to do masters in Canada:
Your big cousin is very correct.
    Who no go no know!
My sister is currently in Ontario doing a masters program, she left in April.
She got 20% scholarship of her tuition and my mom paid the remaining tuition which is 5M, and cos she has a professional certification to do soon her weekend job pay is not enough to cover her rent, feeding expenses so our big brother is covering her monthly rent.
It's not easy as we think it is out there.
But it's worth giving a try if you have a good support system cos soon all the struggle will pay off hugely.
There are also some schools with really cheap tuition in Canada, try look out for such schools. I don't know about agents, sis got a female agent who helped her get the admission but everything about visa application was done by sis alone by the help of the Holy Spirit and withing one month visa was out.
I'm also considering the japka thing and already planning for spring but Canada is not my choice!

  71. To the woman who needs opinion on Canadian school application, I agree with your friend. Those agents are only after your money. There are few companies such as prodigy finance, mpower finance, who offer education loans for students. You don't really need agents, you can do everything yourself. Google these loan companies, find out Schools they support and apply to the Schools.
Once you get offer letter, apply for education loan from one of the loan companies. I hope this helps.

  80. If your intention is to JAPA without looking back, look into Australia. I repeat look into Australia. Canada is great, but Canadians don't earn as much as Australia. Low key jobs in Canada does not pay as well as they do in Australia.

Now the main issue is that Australian universities are very expensive, but you will make the money here to pay your subsequent tuition, rent, feeding and at all at all to Naija.

Is it easy? no it is not. Your grades might suffer, but attaining 1st class is not your goal, or goal is to JAPA finally.

All of us that came through study in 2017 are now all Australian citizens and permanent residents and are all now working professional jobs. Note that the road is not paved with gold, but it is paved. That is all you need, some form pavement.

As a student, the go to job is disability support worker.

Support worker pays like 34 - 44 dollars per hour on weekdays, and 55 - 70 dollars on weekends.
active night shifts pays about the same. If you get youth support worker you will be in the same range.

All you need to do is struggle to get yourself here, borrow if you have to. When you get here do not be lazy, do chase after famzing, influencer lifestyle, hustle till you get what you want, the let the shakara begin thereafter.

    You can do it.
