Memory Lane...

 Who remembers this? Does anyone use this now? I hear it is very expensive and not even as original as the original one....

  1. Remember it very well. My mum still has it . She kept it and still working very well and clean. She said is for Emagency incase there is no gas...πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚...I don't think so..she doesn't want to let it go..lol

    1. I remember, the better dance we did the day my Dad bought , I was small then. We refused to remove the waterproof for a long time so that all the neighbours will notice that it was brand new. 'poverty, waka ooo"

  8. Hehehe!! Memories 😁😁How can I forget butterfly double burner kerosene stove? Blue with white dotsπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ we had the table top single and the standing one double...once the bottle storage of kerosene breaks,that's the end 🚢🏼‍♀️🚢🏼‍♀️🚢🏼‍♀️

  9. Mama's favourite. She still use the table top type of it till today. This month I went home. I asked to buy a gas cooker for her. She said no. The irony is kerosene is now more expensive to use than cooking gas.

    This stove was then a status symbol.

  11. Yes we had it. The best stove ever. very strong and good. Memory of when Nigeria was good and livable. Anybody wey see this stove suppose don marry get children seriously

  13. My mum has it till today in another colour though;hardly stains her pot self as it's blue flame(you have to set the burner wellπŸ˜€) but she uses more of gas and electric plate now as we do have good power supply at Aba..

    Kerosene now is more expensive self..

  14. Multi purpose stove. That year, we dey keep shoes for the first layer. Then books, cutlass, hoe and hand fan for the next layer.....

  15. We had this exact colour. My mum would make sure we clean it every morning.

    This was like Rich man's gas in the trenches o. Now people cannot even buy kerosene now sef. May God help us in this country.

  17. Ooh memories.....I remember the how you have to quickly flip the glass kerosene tank over after filling it and carefully fix it into the chamber in order to avoid wasting ur kerosene. Chai!!!

  18. My mum never had the pleasure of using this, she was a struggling widow,we only see this in neighbors house, but now😊😊, nama dey fly go Yankee anyhow, give people free food. Baba God I thank you o, growing up we never had Milo or likes,butter for where🀣🀣

  21. Which home didn't use this then. One of the very best. Burns well, and very durable too. The warning is *be mindful of the glass tank" else na serious flogging and punishment be that o.
