    Even as the disciples' hearts ached about Jesus' departure, he assured them it was to their advantage because it would bring them a new era of power and authority (see John 14:12). Being 'under new management' wasn't the end but a continuation of Christ's ministry as the Holy Spirit took the baton from the Son's hand and placed it in theirs. The Son would leave, but the Spirit would 'abide with [them] for ever' (John 14:16 NKJV). This was their 'advantage'. The Spirit would enter their human bodies and live permanently in them! This is no tentative, vague connection. It's God's Spirit choosing us as his permanent dwelling place.
    Have you ever considered the advantage this gives you? For example, you might awake tomorrow feeling stressed, weary and irritated, and, humanly speaking, these feelings could easily dictate your day. But because the Spirit lives in you, these things don't have to control you. Paul writes, 'Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you' (1 Corinthians 6:19 NKJV)? Once you accept that promise by faith, you become God's temple. You can be at work, driving the kids to school, walking the dog, waiting for biopsy results, or attending the funeral of your best friend, and as you go about your everyday life, God's Spirit is living in you.
    Can you see why Jesus told the disciples it was good for him to leave and send the Holy Spirit? Whatever you do, don't let this life-changing truth slide by you!

    Abuja Bvs, please always be on the alert as to stay safe. I saw and watched the videos of terrorist attacking Zuma Rock Military Check Point and area yesterday. Don't mind the people saying there's no plan of terrorist overrunning the capital territory. Even security experts had warned and sent signals in their memo before now the reason schools were abruptly shut down.

    The other day it was the presidential guard that was attacked and over 30 persons killed.

    If the presidency can be attacked with all the security on ground, then what is the fate of a commoner?

    In a sane cline, the president would have been impeached for incompetency but tribalism has eaten deep into Nigeria that we are now been divided along ethnic and religious lines.

    I have heard several USELESS reasons for divorce. But the one I heard yesterday shocked me!
    A man wants to divorce his wife because 1 year after the wedding, she has refused to change her surname to reflect his name on Facebook. Apparently, he has been telling her for a while and she ignored him. Now brother say e nor dey marry again...OMG!🙆😳🤔
    What has a name change got to do with her commitment to you? Even if she wants to be unfaithful, will your surname on Facebook stop it?

      Yes traditionally and legally a woman married to a man should bear his name. I have no problem if a woman still retain her previous names on Facebook but all I'm saying here is that changing of a name as requested by the husband isn't something bad. My grouse is when a woman starts disobeying her husband, it doesn't end well. For peace to reign, why not include his name after her own father's name. I've seen people do that. My elder brother's wife added my brother's name after her own father's name.

      If you're not ready for compromise, then you shouldn't go into marriage in the first instance.

    Before when they use to give reports on the activities of bandits, criminals and the rest in Nigeria especially in the northern part I will be like my place is safe there's no cause for alarm. Even if they overrun other areas but where I am is almost immune from their attacks.
    Yesterday all those thoughts were proved wrong with what happened last night hmm no where is safe anymore these guys have infiltrated everywhere and are looking for when best to strike.
    The kind of run I ran yesterday for my dear life yesterday since I was born I haven't run like that before. Run that I started from Zuma rock to kaduna road through the bushes no be small run.
    I just thank God sef that our school is on strike now if not after the kuje prison break Uniabuja seems like one of their soft target now
