My school roommate will gather her friends to come finish the food that I cooked with my money, I will come back to meet empty pot in a scattered room. If I complain she’ll say I am complaining because of ordinary food. When she has money she’ll continue eating in crunchies restaurant till her money finish then she’ll remember my poor food. Me that can’t do without homemade food will continue feeding her till another money enters her account and she will disappear.

I had 3 roommates in my final year.

Alright, I didn’t mind. Life happens right.
But this girl, an owerri babe was SO LOUD. She wakes up playing all those pericoma and high life music. Egwu ugba na abacha.
Then she had a VERY LOUD voice.
Oh my goodness.
I was irritated to say the least.
Anyways one time she came back with beans and it was weavil infested.
Sis, cook beans na make weavil no take over the room especially under my table and she didn’t.
Weavils were everywhere!
After talking and talking, I carried her beans outside one time she went for lectures and the cleaners threw it away.
I didn’t even talk
She got back and was asking about the beans and I told her I kept it outside.
She went to check and it wasn’t there and I told her it was probable that the cleaners have carried it. That she should ask them. Lol
I kept my face straight abeg.
Wetin concern me.
I hate confrontation so I can be passive-aggressive which isn’t good.

Had one very beautiful roomie then. Very gorgeous and well mannered. Her only problem was that she would cook and not wash plates and pots afterwards. For days. She would lock it up in a cupboard and even travel for weekend till it’s smelling so bad.. Had to switch rooms after a semester.

She invested in buying shoes,bags and clothes not for once will she think of groceries.when I buy groceries she uses it without permission and to her hearts content.i had to react when she started wearing my clothes also without permission.note!!! She wasn't poor, neither was she struggling.

DeleteMy roommate and I went out to have fun, then some guys were also there. Very cute and clean guys oo. That’s how one asked me out and she wasn’t asked out by the others guys. I started dating this guy and my roommate kept telling me that my new boyfriend is a bad boy and I should end the relationship. I told her no. Hmmmm before I knew anything, this lady took my mummy’s phone number from my phone , called my mum to report me of dating a cultist and a bad boy. Oh my goodness, my mum told my entire family and when my dad asked her, how she knew. She said a girl called E to inform her and that she’s my roommate and best friend. Before I’ll know it, my parents came to our university and scolded me. Cut the story short, the roommate apologized later. That was my first semester In the university and the last I stayed on campus or have any room mate.

My final year roommate was a very lovely person,very intelligent,vocal and knew alot of people to her advantage,She was an extrovert.
ReplyDeleteShe was always ready to talk and talk and flex,and she wanted me to join her doings,Next thing I was already doing badly in my exams,She influenced me too bad that I couldn't carel ess if I came out with a bad grade.Good life is good but make it proportional with reality.I learnt the hard way.
To think that one of the reasons I got a roommate was for a reading partner.
Had one of the best room mates ever! Though we had a falling out one time cuz he was lousy (as per Benin Boy) he used my cologne one time, omo I jacked the guy inside campus! That's how we were living like cat and rat o, until one day we finally squashed the beef and we were like Ying and Yang! But sadly, my dear friend passed away a while back, still pains me till date! II lived alone in school, don't have strength for girls drama, but couldn't avoid it during NYSC as we lived in corpers lodge. My rommie was rommie from hell, kalabari girl with loose screw, but na me fit her sha.we tormented each other but my torment pass her own. I've already heard her story how she will frustrate every roommate assigned to her, when we came she was the only person staying alone even though there was shortage of rooms and some had to stay three in a room. In fact I was supposed to stay temp until they find me a room but I liked the room because it was the best of all the rooms there,,everything still works, so I told them I will stay. Everyone was like are you sure, I said yes. They all waited for the inevitable, our peace lasted for jus one week. Long story short, craze dey pass craze and my craze was greater than her own.

Other times, it is “I know you will bless me with meat..”.
My ajebutter self did not even understand that she had included herself in my meal plan. I later woke up sha. Lol

DeleteMine will borrow money from me,but will feign forgetfulness if I asked,there was a time she planned birthday party,date was approaching and the boyfriend that promised her wasn't forth coming,and she has already invited people,I was yet to pay my school fees and she knows,she begged me to borrow her50k,that was 2006 o,I gave her,she used it for her party,only for me to ask a week later,and she told me she has totally forgotten she was owing me, the money later became issues between us cos the guy didnt give her ,despite the fact that he was hailed as the sponsor on that day o,he even brought friends that we served specially,I sha collected my money, she sold her phone and some other things to pay me,I made sure I collected my money in full

DeleteMy roommate was going for her traditional marriage, one mind told me to open her luaguage when she left the room. I opened and saw alot of my new clothes and shoes in her luggage, I just brought them out the way she arranged it and dropped them on top of her luguage till she came back, I didn't ask her or bring up the issue I didn't attend the marriage because of that.i was pissed

ReplyDeleteI had a roommate who goes out at night gets drunk and wets our bed. She was a nice lady tho...she refused to change. The problem was who go carry bed go spread for sun. It wasn't funny o. We kept telling our amebo neighbors that water soaked our bed. ReplyDeleteEach time she comes back from school I was always seeing different 10atm cards in her bag.I asked her and she always gave one flimsy excuse so I didn’t think anything,
One day my friend came to visit me at home from work,and within 30mins my friends atm card got missing. We searched for it everywhere and we didn’t find it she even helped us search,she now said maybe that one lost it on her way back from work, then she started stylishly asking her hope her password is not her date or year of birth,she started questioning her about her password,when she left the room my firmed told me that she is sure the girl took her card but I didn’t believe.
Another time again my brothers customer brought money for him at home 50k, the next day the money went missing, we searched and searched and we didn’t see the money,
I still didn’t code until one day my sis sent me money to give her mechanic to fix her car,me and this girl went to withdraw the money we got home, I entered the kitchen to cook, mechanic came to collect the money and I couldn’t find the money. I turned the whole house upside down yet nothing,I asked her and she denied taking it, the kind of tears I shed that day ehn!! I had to go beg my brothers friend to help me cos my sis will not even hear me out.
I started giving her attitude and she packed her things and left my place,next thing she got married without inviting me🤣🤣.Till date we don’t speak.Abeg I no want that kind

I only got to have a roomie during NYSC days well as @ then I felt she was always keeping to herself and made me feel bad because she never initiated nice conversations eventhough we never argued and we were just 2 females out of 8. We were models to the newly posted then.Its only after NYSC I realized it's her nature. We are still good friends now

ReplyDeletetwo cousins were my room mate,I was the youngest among them,I really enjoyed staying with them.they love going naked inside the flat and I was the only one wearing singlet and boxers,Omo one day they planned me,removed all my clothes,and that was how they initiated me to it .we are still sisters for life even after we left school.Always looking forward to see in any family occasion........ All my room mates were wonderful people and we still keep in touch till date. The only person that gave me problem was a friend i brought in to squat with me due to her accomodation issue. ReplyDeleteMy course mates room mate at boys hostel was so dirty that they named him GERMS PARTY,THIS guy would walk bare footed to take his bath at the public bathroom ,he cooked soup,gave his friend eba and gave him rag to clean his hand instead of water to wash his hand. locked the pot of soup inside his wardrobe and travel,egusi soup for that matter its when the room was smelling they had to break the padlock to bring out the pot
