Vice President Yemi Osinbajo Refuses To Step Down For His Godfather Bola Tinubu...

Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo refused to step down for his erstwhile God father Bola Ahmed Tinubu and went ahead to contest in the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Osinbajo was the last of the 22 aspirants to give his speech at the special convention holding at the Eagles Square in Abuja.

“Our dear delegates, when you vote tonight make sure your votes carry the prayer, future of your children.
You cannot wish this country well and vote for someone you do not believe in.

“Our circumstances will not afford the next President to learn on the job. And I will be ready from day one.

“In discharging my duties as VP, I have been prepared for the task ahead and I will be ready from day one.
It is for this reason that I, Osinbajo, present myself to you, our distinguished delegates, for the presidential ticket of our party,” the Vice President said.

    1. Nigerians NEVER learn. Another corrupt, old, feeble and uglee(not ugly) man as president again. I repeat, the international community will not lend foreign currency to us. Please we need to try a good looking president. Image is everything today. Can't will package our president for once ? Are we in love with Ugly situation ? Do you know that God doesn't like ugly ? Google it "God don't like Ugly".. Another 8 years with them will be UGLEE for us all. $1 = 1500Naira when his tenure is over and then the North will takeover.. Well, we(divorced and married men) have accepted that Nigeria will not change in our lifetime so we better leave the country for single men and women...Age is not on our side....

    2. You people don’t know that Northerners are sponsoring the VP so they can use him as a puppet and continue ruling behind the scene and slaughtering southerners just as he had been a puppet for 8 years

  5. Why should he step down for Tinubu? He's more qualified and competent than Tinubu. Those who stepped down were not serious and time wasters

    2. While he is within his right to contest, no objective index to show "he's more qualified". He speaks eloquently, and his speech was better than Tinubu's that's all. Now let's go objective: He's a lawyer by profession, and an accomplished one, Tinubu is a financial administrator, who reached the height of his profession working at top notch companies like Mobil, etc. Tinubu created his own political path, Osi did not. Tinubu has thriving businesses, in partnership with others, Osi does not. Tinubu has visibly helped develop others especially politically, like Akpabio mentioned, he turns boys into men, Osi's protegees are no where to be found. While in office as governor, Tinubu built on Lagos groundwork and laid a master plan that progressed the state, fought the then status quo for his policies and State to succeed, Osi while in office remained a 'good boy', did not stand for his supposed beliefs, did not want to upset the status quo, I might add for his ultimate selfish ambitions.
Lastly Tinubu was one of those who fought for democracy, Osi was old enough to do same, but did not. See my people, no be by grammar.

  9. How can you people see buhari as a devil and his deputy the Messiah?? As in mi o get e. Which impact has pastor VP made in 8years?? At least Tinubu changed the face of Lagos, what has pastor dummy done in 8years?? If he meant well ,he would have designed instead of keeping quiet and watching the government he vice causing hardship, silent means consent.I rest my case

Nigerians are so myopic that’s why they always end up in circles since 1960.
A man that was part of the worst
Government for 8 years, kept quiet when southerners were being slaughtered is now a messiah in there eyes?
Once you tell Nigerians sweet words they are sold.
I could care less about other candidates but base your judgment on track records and not sentiments.

    2. As a vice, you are just a glorified house boy. Your hands are tied. Did you ever noticed when bubu was away, and yemi takes over there was always a change. Why do you think atiku wants to be the oga on top by all means?

  11. Why is Tinubu treating Nigeria like his inheritance? His 8 yrs in Lagos had no lasting impact. I just hope he would not sacrifice Osinbajo on the altar of his greedy ambition.
