  1. QUOTE OF THE DAY*

What sustains you is the instruction.

    Proverbs 22:17-18
Bow your ear and hear the words of the wise and apply your heart unto my knowledge. For it is a pleasant thing if you keep them within you, they shall withal be fitted for your lips.

  2. Breaded Life

It speaks about redemption and unconditional love.

Todo sheltering a stranger. Todo with anger issues but deep down has strong values. Todo's issues were later revealed to be because of her own childhood trauma. I can unpack this till tomorrow. How that kind people are kind people even if the scars they carry mask their benevolent nature because they've grown thick skin to protect themselves. Somehow, they still manifest their generosity even if clouded by small skoinskoin. On the reverse, mean people are mean people. Extreme life events just brings to the surface what's already there dormant.

Sunmi awwww.... Life showed him pepper. He stayed to learn howbeit the hard way. I love how he repaid Todo's kindness with loyalty and generosity. Life humbled him and he came out shinning. Timini acted this part so well. Not many people will stay with someone of significantly much lower social class after things get better for them.

Sunmi's mother... The pain of a parent with a wayward child. That part where she said, I can never disown you, good or bad you're my child. That part got me. Not many parents get this part of the parenting memo.

Overall good movie. Africans can tell authentic stories. We don't have to copy Hollywood's sci-fi or try and force weird and unrelatable supernatural stuff to deliver world class fiction.

      😭😭

Got me in my feelings. God!
It's not perfect, but I loooove it.

This is one of the ways we Africans should write our fiction and abstract movies. It is original and the acting is great.

    4. The scene todo was presented with a birthday cake messed me up mhen πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯ΊπŸ₯ΊπŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜ Omo, that part too dey emotional. Everytime Sunmi bants with his mum, I feel it. The emotions of the mother.

Emotions filled with mixed feelings of tiredness and hope and thoughtfulness and anger.

Didn’t know Timini is this good to act Sumni’s role so perfectly.

      Good and neat story

    6. It's more than ten years since I sat down and finished a Nigerian movie. If I manage and watch for 20 minutes I switch off and look for a book to read or start pressing my phone. You see this breaded life I finished it yesterday and it was a mixture of different emotions.
My husband was so happy that I could sit and finish this movie. Kudos to bimbo, timini, Tina mba and others.

  3. YOU NEED A SUPPORT SYSTEM

'Share each other's burdens.' Galatians 6:2 NLT

God created our physical bodies with internal systems that support each other. And it's the same in our relationships. Everybody needs a support system. Sometimes when others disappoint us, we say, 'From now on it's just God and me!' That's a mistake! It's the sheep who strays from the fold that gets eaten by the wolf. Satan will isolate you to destroy you. 'A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken' (Ecclesiastes 4:12 NLT).
Studies show that people who have caring support live longer, recover from illness faster and find life more meaningful. Support gives you a sense of connection and acceptance, which are core human needs. It provides an arena in which you can be vulnerable; a place where you can feel safe in saying, 'I don't know,' or 'Can you help me,' or 'I need a hug.' This is support - God's way. And if you can't find it in your own family, turn to the family of God. And one more thought: don't forget to express your appreciation to those who support you. Tokens of gratitude go a long way in saying, 'I'm grateful for your help.'
Support is not a one-way street: 'Share each other's burdens' (Galatians 6:2 NLT). Don't get so engrossed in your own problems that you forget others have problems too. Take the time to inquire about their concerns. No one likes a taker. It's in the give-and-take of mutual support that you grow and fulfil your God-given potential in life.

  6. He Doesn't Always Go For The Most Qualified!!
    1 Corinthians 1:27.

    Excerpts!!

"2 Corinthians 3:5 says, Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God. The word sufficiency can also be translated as competence or ability"

"He's the One who has called you and endued you with supernatural ability to carry out His work. Never look down on yourself or think there's nothing special about you. He's made you competent; so, look beyond your physical ability"

"Always remember that you're special to Him, and He's divinely enabled you to fulfil His calling on your life"

    Prayer!!

Dear Father, thank you for loving me and planning my life for your glory. You set me apart for your special work and committed the glorious Gospel to my trust. Through me, many will come to the knowledge of Christ and into their inheritance in Him, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

  11. Goodmorning Stella and bvs.
Straight to the chase,Lastnight I "pomaded" my whole body with a generous amount of salt and red oil.(An episode i won't be forgetting anytime soon)

If you're a kitchen lover, you should know why I had to succumb to such drastic measures.
    Either way,let's read along.

I came home famished,Didn't know what to cook,Was too lazy to even think of kitchen but man gatz chop,Next thing I was peeling yam.
Suddenly itches sent directly by jagaban himself to torture me because I promised not to vote for him descended on my "most valued possession",My SkinπŸ˜‚.

I was faced between the devil and the deep blue see.I started thinking..
If I scratch my body nau,I will react to the yam chemicals and the great grandfather of itches will pour down on me like holy spirit BUT if I ignore,I'm going to be restless,I won't concentrate on my yam peeling and I wanted to get it done with ASAP!
At that point,it didn't occur to me that I could actually go wash my hands and scratch my body in peace o😫

So I decided to defile all odds and do the former,That's how una bv with the sauce ended up as A READY TO BARBECUE life human(marinated with salt and oil)to neutralize the yam chemicals which resulted to MORE krokroπŸ˜‚
I wouldn't even wish my worst enemy this type of dilemma.

I'm good now, taking a long break from anything that concerns yam until I recover from this trauma, unless you cook and gimme sha.

    Have a great day everyone.

  20. Stellz I greet u & all bvs
This issue of being dirty is my present predicament.
My mother has frustrated/keeps frustrating my effort to keep the house in order.
One time I came home (i school in another sate)the whole house was a disaster. Everywhere was a mess, stella u need to see what I'm saying. I eventually found workers to come and clean the house because I couldn't do it alone at that point.  (It was not a day's job even with extra hands).
Would u believe when I came back everything was back to how it was, I couldn't cry.
    I hate living like this.
Everyone is minding their business, my father hardly comes around because of this, & I'm the only one left at home with her.
This issue is really affecting my relationship with her because I'm trying to start fruit parfait business but I'm hesitant, before some one will see big cockroach or rat poop in their stuff.
It wasn't this bad growing up, I really don't know what happened.
I try not to emulate her habits & always avoid going back home.
Pls what do I do I'm confused & tired.
Pls don't post if I'm not anon. Thanks

  23. Good morning my fellow 'sdkers' or 'skdians' or 'bvns'
Please help save my marriage. My husband caught me watching goodluck to you leo grande for the 10th time this morning. He said he is seriously looking for the actor so he can dash me to him free of charge.
I have tried explaining to him that it's the lines in the movie, the acting, the precision, the attention given to every act, every word that captivates me but my husband isn't buying it. He said he never knew I could be obsessed with a man like this. He said he never knew I had ashewo vibes in me.lol. he has been calling me Mrs daryl for the past 4days now and honestly I find it intriguing. That man is fineeeeeeeeee for days, a 29yr old boy o. But seriously, you all need to watch that movie, apart from the sex appeal, it actually touched the most sensitive part of a marriage. Women have needs too that sometimes get overlooked.
Please my new blog name is Mrs Daryl as bestowed upon me by my beloved husband.
He has been using side eyes to look at me. I never knew my husband could be jealous of someone until now.

I got to the bus stop I met a crowd,a man was lying flat on the ground and they surrounded him.i went closer and asked,I was told the man drank snipper. The container was on his body.
