Nigeria's Presidential Candidate Peter Obi Says Lunatics Have Taken Over Nigerian Politics...

Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has said most of the politicians in the corridors of power have no reason to be there, describing politics in Nigeria as a case where lunatics have taken over the asylum. He said this on Sunday June 19, 2022 at the Men of Valour conference organised by the Revival House of International Church in Abuja.

    1. Well said. He needs to play their games better especially for the hungry ones that may sell their conscience for groundnut.

    2. I disagree. Peter OBI reminds me of my own father. He was incorruptible, never had a mentality of joining the crowd but standing by your values. Even his coworkers would tell me of opportunities he had to steal/deceive and be mega rich but my father never did. Till today. That is the values I have too, and will pass to my kids. Pls don't join the world, stand by your values 🙏🏾

    3. Peter Obi supposedly laundered $millions of dollars according to the Pandora papers by 12,000 investigative journalists from many countries who traced illicit money across countries and continents. They got an award for the work at the most recent White House Correspondents’ dinner from President Biden. He is one of the few Nigerians mentioned in the report.

Peter OBI is better than Tinubu & Atiku who are cunning kleptomaniacs so given a choice between the three, I will pick Peter Obi. However making an 8-year governor in modern day corrupt Nigeria out to be a saint will not fetch him supporters. Let those of us who support his candidacy refrain from “saintifying” him as he is a part of the establishment but younger, better & preferable to the other two. None of them is a saint. If he were to run on his record as governor, he would fail. Tinubu will be a lifetime emperor whose handlers will grow powerful as his health deteriorates. He will be an emperor for life. Atiku will be as sedated & incompetent as Buhari with increased terrorism and anarchy. Peter is still the best choice but please let one region not “own” him to make his appeal broad, and don’t make him out to be a saint. Google is very active.

    4. @19, still reading my comments for where I said OBI is a saint. I was primarily responding to the ideology that everyone must play the game life presents and take by force, of which I said no, giving instances of OBI as well as my father, because of several testimonies of their uprightness. Funny enough, it is the opposition that started calling him Saint OBI as a way to sneer at his supporters. You can look up where the Pandora paper thingy has been debunked.

    5. @19:39, yes google is very active, but I just want to drop this so that statement will not be ominous (for those who won’t bother to use google). Let’s not act like there is any information in the pandora papers that evidences financial impropriety using state funds. Not even the expose, no matter how scandal hungry and biased, could allude to that. His crime - He didn’t declare all his assets and bank accounts offshore, in violation of the Nigerian constitution. He also didn’t resign from his businesses as soon as he became governor.
No evidence he is a saint, no evidence yet that he is a thief. Convoluted financial arrangements are not novel at all in the business world.

A number of online comments just drop ‘Pandora Papers’ and move on, making it seem there is evidence of theft or money laundering within those documents. Not yet.

  3. No lies detected. Sharing dollars up and down in Nigeria. Asuu on strike while minister for education buys 100m ticket. Dollar rate swinging while CBN gov buys ticket. How much is asuu demanding again? How did accountant general steal?.
We’re buying cars for Biharis kinsmen in Niger while Asuu is on strike , fuel scarcity in some parts of the country. Salary hasn’t changed yet. List is endless

    1. ASUU own is so so hurtful and ridiculous. After wasting all these years you'll still be subject to the NYSC which takes a year or two. America that was ravished by covid yet not one child lost a term or semester or session. Everyone still graduated on time. Will the two parties donate the billions made from selling forms to pay lecturers? Never. Nigeria has a loooooong way to go, we are not serious at all.

  5. Dear Peter Obi, plan your campaign well oo. You have come down to churches, go even lower, directly to the masses, go higher, up to the north. Whether you win or lose, give it your all.
