Hours after a video of the duo fighting in public fight emerged, Mercy Aigbe went on instagram to explain that she had been enduring all forms of bullying and name calling from the businesswoman, who she noted was once an acquaintance till she suddenly became an enemy.
The actress claimed she lost her calm and decided to defend for herself verbally after all efforts by people around to broker peace failed and Larrit did not cease to verbally assault her.....
Reacting, Lara stressed she became irritated over Mercy’s continuous attempt to rubbish and dare Funsho Adeoti ,her new husband’s first wife.
According to her, that was the point she started having issues with Mercy Aigbe coupled with the fact that the film star also entertained interviews just to show off another woman’s husband, calling herself “Aya d owner” thereby, disrespecting the first wife even more.
Olukotun, referring to Aigbe as a double-faced personality, noted she plays the victim in public and shows her real ‘devilish’ self behind closed doors.
She further dared Mercy Aigbe to try lying against her in any interview just to achieve damage control or run her mouth indiscriminately.

Blogs have given these miscreants a platform, hanging on their every word, reporting every (mis)deed and generally pushing them in the faces of the public and selling their narratives. Aside from appearing in movies/t.v shows/music videos, you ask yourself what it is about their life that should make their opinions a selling point? A good percentage are dropouts, druggies and generally uncouth. No principles, with value systems that are nothing to write home about.

That’s how they turned the word “visitor or Alejo” to a title calling themselves Al-haji or Al-haja which just means visitor in Arabic! Only Nigerian Muslims use that title! Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan & almost the entire Middle East are MUSLIM Nations with VERY FEW polygamists. Nigerian Muslims have long manipulated the “4 wives allowed part” to excuse their lack of discipline. If this interpretation was universal among Muslims then polygamy will be common in these other countries. Using religion as excuse to cover up lack of discipline is more concerning when women repeat this falsehood as many have done in this comment thread & as many Nigerian women now accept. I’m not a Muslim but several Muslims debunk it & other Islamic nations do not generally practice polygamy so why do we hear that excuse all the time by women eager to “break homes” & men who lack discipline & commitment?
However this story & all the reactions since it broke months ago bring to the surface a worrisome trend of denying the reality that not all 2nd, 3rd or even 4th marriages are contracted with or by “home breakers” or “snatchers” or “amoral men”. The trend now is to “shame” divorced men & women & those that give them another chance & it is wrong especially when the spouse had zero input in their spouse’s past. Everyone including those who have aborted several times for many men or who sleep with currently married men now shames those who marry widowers & divorcees? Many women divorcees & widows are praying for another chance at getting it right so stop using the ranking/numbering in monogamous situations.
It excludes the realities of those married to widowers, divorcees, child brides married off against their will etc. Some even go to the extent of demonizing women who are NOT in a polygamous situation, women who legally monogamously married men after they had been divorced for years!
Adekaz & Mercy allegedly committed adultery on their respective spouses & there is no justification for that. It’s lack of discipline & self control. However I know men long divorced from their wives, whose ex had even remarried before they got married again. Lumping women like that together with adulterers who were unfaithful to their spouses is wrong, inaccurate & unfair. Divorce is a reality not peculiar to Nigeria so enough of all the ranking unless it’s a polygamous setting. If you marry a divorcee long after he divorced, you are not his 2nd or 3rd wife but his only wife! Over 30% of marriages unfortunately end in divorce! It’s the sentiment that caused a talented prominent pastor his position years ago in a popular church & it is unfair. You can’t tell both parties not to move on after a divorce or shame those who choose to legally marry them later.
Not all marriages are made in heaven, some are contracted/officiated by satan, “jazz” & the parties suffer due to incompatibility, DV, etc. a single woman will not want her new hubby referred to derisively, constantly by no. but as her husband. It’s ignorant.
Based on what obtains in developed nations & in predominantly Muslim nations Ms Mercy isn’t even a “wife” to the man at all! Until Mrs Adekaz divorces him, he is not married to her as the US is not an Islamic country. He cannot bring her here as a “2nd wife”,not happening! If it was me, I will not even grant him a divorce to delay her getting US citizenship which I’m sure she craves (the London trip is a consolation). She isn’t a Mrs regardless of no., she is a side chick as polygamy isn’t legal in the US. Her actions online to pepper Funsho may constitute Cyberbullying, harassment & psychological abuse especially her taking pictures in their furnished home & posting online. As to the party fight, there may be more to it!
