I don't know why people derive joy in sharing such videos.
ReplyDeleteSomeone sent it to me and I asked the person, what makes you think I want to watch such a graphic video of people crying with blood everywhere? Told her not to send me such videos in future.
I don't know what happened to me. I wasn't this sensitive b4 motherhood. Now I can't even watch a Triller or horror movie. I love Nageo wild but once a baby animal is killed by a predator, my whole week is ruined. Some news without pictures will traumatized me because I am able to picturised it. Now, imagine what live video could do to my entire psych. That one of the soldier woman being butchered in Orlu, I didn't see but the extent to which my husband was affected by it rubbed off on me. I may say stop sharing such videos but that is our reality, unfortunately. Unless we don't want to hear and see and pretend things are not as gruesome as they are.
DeleteHonestly I don't why some people do that, videos and pics was flying on WhatsApp status that Sunday..I just avoided watching any status,I know myself that watching that will leave me in a traumatized state for days😥😥😥😥 God heal our land we pray thee🙌

ReplyDeleteI don't like the way we circulate videos of victims, I don't watch and I don't send too. They are human beings and it can happen to anyone. How do people comfortably circulating videos of people in such helpless situations, if it's from news channels, newspapers or government approved media is better, there should be a law to ban such social media circulation, is painful to watch , my opinion

ReplyDeleteWho are the people that even share/send such videos. I got to know about one of my uncle's death online,he was in his 40s his wife and the family were still mourning then boom,it was on social media by someone who is not even close to the family.

People are dieing and crying in pains,all you could do was to start recording them. A gory scene!

ReplyDeleteI was traumatised by one of such. I remembered back in the days someone sent me a video of a black guy attached to a chair in Arab country being stabbed bit by bit , fell and another resumed. That hunted me and I learned a lesson, Never to open any video without explanation. My family members and friends will send me a video and proceed to gist about it whenever and they will be surprise that I am not aware of what they are talking about, I will tell them that I didnt watch, to always attach a word to it so that I will know the content. Please guard your heart. Some video are not for weak hearts. May God help us all
