    1. I got here through Linda Ikeji. I remember she always discribed Stella as "ruthless, crazy and hilarious". I visited a few times then b4 i became addicted. Yes, I said addicted and I don't even know if it's positive or negative because it's a beautiful get-away from my daily responsibilities but then, sometimes I loose track of time here. It takes discipline to find balance.

    2. I think I started reading when we had Lolo ( Can't remember her Id) she would talk about being on staff bus and journey to work and I guess her boyfriend at the time.
      Where is Mrs Sharon Aminu?
It's been a while though, I've never had an id, most people have been like family to me, the ones with Id πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.
I learnt to be determined, a strong and better person through Stella though sometimes I disagree with her in my Anonymous modeπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.
But I love her for who she is, always says it as it is, stands her grounds, would never post indecent pictures, definitely a journalist to reckon with.
      Authentic stories.
I don dey talk too much πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.
The Koko be say, the bvs bring me joy, even when I've had a long 12 hour shift, Im on SDK during my lunch time at work, go home to catch up and laffing my way through comments.
      Love sdking πŸ’•πŸ’•

I saw a comment on Linda ikeji blog, it mentioned Stella's blog, I assumed it was related to the Damascus lady, that's how I visited. I've been in and out since the days of Quicksilver, VandV, TGW, tearing Bra n pant lady, James and his tall Edo GF... etc. Its been fun i must admit.
The blog admins consistency is overwhelming, I'm beginning to believe blogging is more of a lifestyle, not a hurstle for passive income. Kudos Stella.

    4. I came to this blog through my sister inlaw after balls that I developed in FIN killed my marriage. This blog helped my marriage. I stumbled on one article on IHN that year that gave tips that sounded ridiculous. I was desperate so I munched it and started practicing. It didn't only feel like magic that my husband came begging but I have continued on that path to maintain our relationship. I have also learnt to give what you expect.

    5. That FIN started with good intentions but it became sooooooo stupid!. They removed me after i spoke up about a poster that was violent to her boyfriend. Thank God they did i spent too much time there

3 things I've learnt from this blog

  7. Sometime is 2014, one domestic violence story was trending and my immediate younger sister and I were totally disgusted by what the woman went through. In the process of talking about it, my sister told me that this particular story of this woman was even small compared to what some people are going through. She asked if I knew SDK blog, I said I had never heard about it. Then she sent me the link about the one domestic violence diary. I started reading and I was so angry for the woman that I continued reading it until I finished and then I started checking out other comments and it was so different from what I was used to reading online and I got stuck.

Since that moment till now, there’s no single day that I have not visited this blog.

Through thick and thin, I have been here and never changed ID. Wow! Almost 8 years!

Lesson: When you quote Jesus, you will be insulted just like Jesus taught
And those who insult you are same people that chant "Jesus, Jesus, what God cannot do does not. . ."
And sometimes, your Jesus quotes won't be enabled.

  19. 10 years ago while waiting to enter schl after writing post utme. I used to buy data and spend it on Nairaland, linda ikeji, Kemi filani, and I saw a post mentioning sdk blog, I just googled it and rest is history.

I think a lot of what I learnt shaped my journey through uni, especially concerning relationships, which I saw (and still see) as something stressful and to be avoided. I also vowed that I would not let myself be pushed into an unhappy marriage simply because I wanted to be a Mrs, like most chronicles were. I even stopped reading chronicles for a while because they were so exhausting (does anyone remember when chronicles were flowing in and Stella would have to post 3,sometimes 4 short ones, a day? mehn)

I learnt kindness from Ronalda, I laughed at comments from Ezenwanyi, Pepper, Mamie, Agwoturumbe, LE,etc. I tried recipes from XP and TGW. I learnt from Jayem and Goldscent to be careful of my neighbours that may want to open my yansh🀣

Chai this post has made me travel. Down memory lane and read old posts. See me remembering bitchplis, lepa shandy, chi exotic, blog lord, iphie dearie.

I opened the popped up story it was about Mercy and Mr bagrand ahewo jalabia around 2014 or so. I kept reading and finally got an id around 2016.

I've learnt so much especially from the Chronicles' post, And I've come to realise that no one is flawless . lastly, I've made so many great frds here, some important personalitiesπŸ˜™πŸ€—, And introduced some to the blog as well.

Many years go I had it tough. I was just not in a good place. I was mentally, physically, spiritually tired. That was the lowest I've ever been my entire life . Sent in a detailed Chronicle and strangers I've never met stepped in and became family. It wasn't financial or because I didn't have a means of survival. It was trauma from the past and recent happenings at the time that almost drained me. God bless everyone that reached out that year. God used you to save me truly. God bless you Stella. Still friends with some ladies that reached out. They're still on my WhatsApp and whenever they see my post I'm sure they'll be so proud I'm doing so good and I overcame. Angels indeed. God bless you all for me.

Na only me know the chronicle I'm referring to. Even if you tried you can't fit remember the chronicle. πŸ˜›πŸ˜›πŸ˜›.

After some years, I noticed that you were no longer writing for the magazine so I searched the Internet to see if I could get any news about your whereabouts. I found that thst you had a blog called "Stella's Grove". This was around 2010 or so. I used to read that blog from time to time. After a while, I couldn't find the blog again. But from time to time I will still check the net to see if anything would come up and one day, voila, I think around 2012 or so, I found this present blog and I have been on the blog ever since then. You used to be quite fiery over the years but you have toned down over the years and your blogging style has remained very interesting. Love your blogging style very much. 36. I found out about SDK blog via Bella Naija. A comment on one post mentioned SDK and a quick Google search brought me here.

I like to stay up to date on what's happening in Nigeria since half of my family is there. This blog also provides a glimpse into the mind of Nigerians. Since I wasn't raised in Nigeria a lot of the cultural nuances can be lost on me, but reading comments help me to understand why (some) Nigerians think the way that they do.
Also when I lived in Abuja I met AY at Cubana. We talked and I congratulated him on the birth of his niece or nephew (can't remember which one) and I only knew that there was a new baby in his family because SDK posted the story. πŸ˜‚

She read Linda's blog, nairaland forum, bellanaija, SDK etc. So I began to pick interest. What got my attention the most was Chronicles of blog visitors. I was quite young and chronicles then we're always very bloody, chai. I didn't know people pass through/do horrible things. So each time chronicle comes up, she reads and hands over the phone to all of us to read to our satisfaction, especially me.

At first, I didn't understand what was happening. I noticed that almost everyone knew each other and would always ask after each other and laugh over things together. I thought everyone knew each other outside the blog until I became used to it.

Few years later, I finally got a phone and it became over for everybody πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I didn't start commenting until after I got myself an I.D. This blog is truly a blessing to me. Sometimes I imagine what would have become of me if I hadn't discovered this blog. Sometimes I see people and tell myself that they don't know what they're really missing because they don't visit SDK πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

Abeg e plenty. No leave no transfer🚢🚢

    1. I also got to know SDK blog from LIB some years back. It was the comment section that made me love the blog at first and the fact that I could talk about a lot of things, be it politics, entertainment, marital life and many more based on the information I get here.
Every member of my family knows me as Stella's rep cos and they'll always ask me for details of trending stories and I deliver always. Thanks to Stella, I have also gotten clients from this space and a day cannot go by that I won't be here(even on my wedding night). I brought out my phone and my husband said "be like na Stella house you go carry yourself go".
I might not comment on every post o but then I truly appreciate your dedication to what you do!

    2. Same here, I found out about SDK blog through LIB. Two or more times on the comment section l came across SDK, l decided to find out what it meant, that's how l made my way here and the comments here made me stay because, that's the life of every post.
I have really learned and benefited alot; last year, a BV(Miss Abroadian) blessed me with money on my birthday, my prayers are always with you, may God continue to bless you.
With the way l'm always glue to my phone, l have introduced people including my sis in law to this blog.
      Thanks so much Stella

  41. I got to know about this SDK blog from the other blog. There was this guy very popular in the other blog. The blogger gave him a cash giveaway n the said guy came to SDK and used the money as giveaway in SDK. The blog visitors there were complaining in the comments section.
Since then have been here. This blog is very entertaining and Stella relationship with her blog visitors is mind blowing. She looks out for them. Have been here approximately 10 years.

Stella, your blog has been a blessing to me, I have learnt a lot and sometimes people wonder how I get to know somethings and how a church girl like me can be street smart. It keeps my company as an introvert even in trying moments.

Then it was only Linda and naira land for me, so I was showing her one story like that on either of the 2, she was like "you no even current, something wet I don read tey tey". That was how she typed 'Stella Dimoko Korkus for my BlackBerry browser then and since then I haven't read any other blog, e no dey even cross my mind sef. Stella you rock and God bless you for everything.

And yeah, I've learnt so many things on this blog and it has shaped/shaping me positively but the most I learnt is to be good to everyone at any given time.

  53. The other blogger was always mentioning SDK so I decided to check this SDK BLOG, that was in 2014.
I have read and learnt a lot from people's experiences.
The biggest lesson learnt is how people that hate could just do free publicity and advert for you, over time, I never went back to that blog.
Things I like about this blog:
Information is verified, where they are not correct, an updated version is posted.
    It is very interactive.
Gross and nude images are not uploaded (except pictures of snakes: personal dislike 😣)
This place is my TV, social media, comedy house and news room.
I might visit once in a week on busy weeks otherwise I visit everyday.

Learnt a lot from the blog especially the chronicles. So many life lessons and avoidable mistakes from stories shared.
Used to enjoy RHI. I've also learnt from Stella that you don't just tell people's stories without considering if they are willing and ready to share. She usually tries to get first hand information from the people involved before sharing their stories.
People have also met amazing folks from here because they could sense their peraonlity via their comments. So we need to be conscious of what we put out in public spaces.

    1. I used to visit Wives Connection quite a bit. It was a very good lifestyle blog, but then she changed the blog platform or name to something else and there was a rumour going around that her husband made her tear down the blog. She was having some success with her blog and I always wondered if that was the reason he wanted her to stop blogging. Those days blogging made money, it's a bit harder these days with TikTok, You Tube and IG to make blog money like in the past.

  68. I found SDK while living in the US in 2013. I was hooked on Bella Naija and Linda Ikeji and they always referenced her, but it was searching for Stella Damasus trending story that year, that google search brought up Stella Dimoko. Now Bella Naija is nowhere! Although I new her as a journalist with hints and econonium, but did not know she had a blog. As a tech , analytics global person, this is where I come to relax. Only started commenting late last year on anonymous mode. I have tried to share my experiences on here and as a dispensational Baptist Bible believer, who follows Pastor Chris! I will appreciate if you guys tone down your explicit sex stories and the person that harasses Rhapsody should stop it. If you want to be sick as a Christian, you can remain sick.
I have learnt a lot on this blog , as a woman and would advice the female married bvs here , to tone down their bad character. As for SDK herself, sometimes I love her and sometimes I disagree with her , for supporting some miscreants on here, who attack the guys on here. Is her Blog though, so it’s her call.
For those women on here , who practice woke Christianity , that is unscriptural; know that your messages will bear witness against you on Judgement day.
Well done Madam Stella , for all you do , for the needy. Happy Sunday all and Shalom!!!

Whenever it’s time to go back, he cries and we all cry. Last Christmas I sneaked in a sizable cheque in his luggage for his mum. Last Easter, she reciprocated and put an appreciation letter and her wedding invitation in his luggage for me, guess what, I reciprocated with a cheque and a letter requesting for Aso ebi for the whole family. I’ll ask her to allow him live with us to enable her enjoy her marriage, whilst he bonds with his siblings. SDK , thank you for making me a better person! Thank you for giving me peace! Thank you BVs for teaching me how to forgive and love. God bless you

Actually, I am always impressed by how Stella uses the blog to help others over the years, and continues to do so. Although the blog is primarily a current affairs/entertainment/gossip blog there has mean many enrichment opportunities provided to BVs through this blog.

Well, the blog has taught me to be more tolerant. Since I don't have a tribal background, it certainly has emphasized the importance of recognizing cultural differences and being tolerant even when certain beliefs and practices make no sense to me.

  105. I started reading a couple of years ago because I discovered it’s a great site for keeping up with authentic Nigerian news for me being resident in Georgia. It’s been a few years since my last return, so I keep up with happenings via blogs. I like the seemingly less tribalistic orientation of the commenter’s. My kids always tell me we are Nigerians here and I wonder if I should introduce them to Nigerian media. Lol.

  110. Annie Idibia versus Pero's camp's fight over Tuface visiting his kids with Pero brought me to SDK and I visit regularly.
I was here when the likes of TGW, Doppelganger, Emjay, The Jobless Housewife, etc were all here (plus Eka Joy).
I have learned a lot that have helped me with life and business.
I really enjoyed your posts about profitable businesses one can venture into in Nigeria and I like the fact that you are consistent even with posts that don't get much comments. Thanks for being a blessing Stella
