    1. You don't wear jewelry during a surgery. A whole waist bead on a pregnant woman that's in my OR. I would have done same if I were her doctor.

    2. 14:38 If it’s not an emergency surgery, you can’t do that in a sane environment
If you need to cut it, you have to tell her in advance. If she refuses then you either figure it out or decline to be a doctor. People usually preplan cs

    3. For a health attendant to be asked to cut it and the woman not objecting nor her husband doing same, what does that tell you. It was cut not taken off.
It could have been taken off but it most likely couldn't. Imagine being skinny with a waist bead then being nine months pregnant with the same bead meant for your formerly slim waist.
      I'm anon 14:38
She must have been told about the beads previously cause she would see her doctor many times before her due date

    4. 16:02 nothing in the story suggests she was told in advance

    5. My friend was told to clean her toe nail polish but she didn't until it was time to wheel her into the theater. I had to run like Usain bolt to look vanish remover.

    6. I’m 7 months PP , I had my Babies through CS (emergency CS) I had 10 waist beads on and was asked to remove it (not cut it ) this story doesn’t make sense at all .they’ll ask you to remove your beads or anything you have on you.

    1. That one should be mental illness on the man's part

    2. Sounds like mental heal issues to me. Which man is going to grab a cutlass to chase a woman just because he doesn't recognize her. What about asking questions, calling other ppl to come confirm? In the coming decades good mental and physical health will become the real currency on this planet. Cause a lot of ppl are losing their marbles out here.

    4. On 2nd avenue in ikoyi, after 50yrs of marriage. It was on a Sunday and all househelps were off duty . Madam cooked and served oga who kept asking her who she was ....he chased her around the compound until she ran out barefoot.

    5. This can happen in Dementia, and many more mental illnesses. Someone 's wife and children can look like strangers. Can cause visual hallucinations where they see imaginary people, and make the patient run out of their homes naked out of fear. (But Naija way nah..we term it "spiritual problem" "money ritual has finally caught up with him in his old age" "the jazz has washed off" "witch is confessing" . I am a Doctor with psychiatry experience in the abroad btw.

    6. Stay away from ignorant people especially those whose families still believe funny tales like this. How many strangers in your house or in your street have you chased with a cutlass? Ordinary dementia and housekeeper chronicles are being bandied about as fact. The poor guy could have been sundowning or even having a delirious or psychotic episode but since juju is the only thing in the minds if most people, they just go all in with the wild claims.

The same thing with the woman who was selectively mute with meat in her mouth and a health worker who should be disciplined came here for cheap popularity instead of referring his/her patient to psych and learning from the incident.

I'm tired of patients complaining that their doctors from other specialties don't even know the names of the drugs we prescribed and I have to review them for contraindications and interactions. The basic knowledge of mental health and illness is abysmal in this society.

  9. Do people wear beads into operating rooms? I thought everything is discarded before you are prepped... Unless it's an emergency and you are brought in straight to the table. Twitter and lies sha.

  10. I have done two Csections and call vs on this story. Before going to the operation room, a nurse is assigned to you. S/ he tells you to remove all your clothes include pant and bra, and he attaches a catheter to urinary system, later he will place you in robe. So are telling me that while he doing all this, he can't see your waist beads. And why will you go to the hospital with waist beads? It is a long process before you go in the theatre, they also bring you consent forms to allow them carry out the operation. Also here in Zambia they do not allow any relative including a spouse in the operating room. Are the rules different in Nigeria? This story is false as someone who has been to the operation room for hypertension ( emergency).

  13. The one I witnessed. Followed my sister in law to her decorations job to Anambra State for a traditional marriage. As the guy were digging the ground to put canopy, one of the guys dig up one black nylon tied. Boom!!!, na so the father of the bride started shouting... where is Catherine!!!? where is my Catherine???. Catherine is his ex girlfriend ooo . No be small thingoo. Na so marriage postponed,
We later hear say the wife confess how she snatched the man from Cathryn, how the native baba in Edo state prepared the charm for her. The umunna advised the man to forgive her cos All their children are now grown, he can't marry another wife at his age.
Unfortunately, The Cathrine is still single

    1. Isn't that Alzheimer's disease?

They remember some part of their lives and forget some. Some remember only what happened 20 years ago. Some remember 10 years ago.

Why is it that some of you can be on a gossip blog but will be too lazy to research? When next something like that happens, tell them about Alzheimer's disease.

    2. I always wonder how these ppl feel knowing that someone is with them under force and illusions and not free will. How the hell they rest peacefully? Just moving around in the charade and smiling answering to a title that was not earned. All those who use juju to tie others should be exposed publicly, just like this. Billions and billions of ppl on this planet and you want to keep innocent ppl in bondage, ppl who don't even want them in their lives, utter wickedness. Nothing I despise like this act. May all juju eyes open wide and bright.

  14. I am very wary of this growing trend of celebrity doctors on twitter. I wouldn't want my physician or surgeon to be chasing clout or overly active on social media.. unless he's mostly sharing medical info. Apart from Aproko doctor, I look at most with one eye 🀨
