Leke, some days ago, said pastors who preached after his father’s sermon on Sunday are goats.
His sermon was expected to be the only sermon for that Sunday as all pastors were expected to connect to the National Headquarters where the General Overseer would deliver his.
Reacting via an Instagram post, Leke frowned on the actions of such pastorsand posted
“Why would you go and preach another sermon after Daddy GO (General Overseer) had just finished speaking and preaching? You are not a son, you are a goat sir. Next Thanksgiving service, just do altar call, then Thanksgiving,”
His outburst attracted public outrage
On Wednesday, SaharaReporters learnt that Leke was made to stand before a three-man panel, which included his father-in-law, and was asked never to repeat such again after he had vehemently and arrogantly said he would not apologise for the insulting comments made against senior pastors of the church.
SaharaReporters learnt from sources that despite the glaring arrogance displayed by Leke before the panel, he was not punished.
“Leke Adeboye was made to face a panel today (Wednesday) for insulting pastors and calling them goats. The three-man panel, unfortunately, did not punish him or ask him to apologise,” one of the sources said.
“One of the members of the panel is his father-in-law,’ another source noted.
“He arrogantly told off the panel that he cannot apologise. And what did they do? They only told him to not repeat it again."

Reminds me of the sons of Eli in the bible. Too bad.
ReplyDeleteSons of Eli.... Koret
DeleteVery arrogant uncouth fellow.
ReplyDeleteIf this one becomes GO Redeem will be in trouble.
He can never become the G.O
DeleteWhere is that person that said he wasn’t calling the man a goat literally?
DeleteCome and hear o
Be defending rubbish
When your papa dey heaven, who go punish you.
ReplyDeleteThe boy is useless for not apologizing to fathers in the lord. What a shame. No respect because he was given all that he needs
Hmmm Pastor Leke why now?please lead by example
ReplyDeleteDon't bring grieve to your father, Leke. Don't destroy what took him years to build up. Don't be like the son of Solomon.
ReplyDeleteDaddy GO will surely miss his son Pst. Dare.
Your last line
DeleteTruly
Please Lake tread carefully. Your father has paid a very big price by his humility and steadfast in the things of God. Don't allow Satan use you to scatter this flock your daddy has kept together for years by his actions and prayer.
ReplyDeleteI see too many fake & watery apologies floating out there, after a wrongful act. I like the fact that hes standing on his word, even if it's the wrong choice of word, he sees the consequences as a slap on his wrist, hence theres no need apologising.
ReplyDeleteThat's the bravery & animal boldness that comes with running a "business"
Let's where 'bravery' and 'animal boldness' will carry him, that humility didn't take his father to.
DeleteWhen u are wrong, accept it and apologize. Stop encouraging useless attitude. That is part of the problem with Nigeria. Supporting nonsense.
Not to repeat it again ke???? Inukwa!
ReplyDeleteKai if his father doesnt do anything about this, a lot of people will be disappointed honestly.
yes the disappointment committee headed by you...the church marches on, they have told him not to repeat it again.. u wish it will never be forgotten but we have moved on
DeleteI have never being a fan of this guy. I don't even understand that thing he posted; I mean what is wrong with a pastor preaching after daddy G.O has preached?? I see him as one proud guy (I am only assuming) cos I have never met him before. Your dad is respected worldwide, don't stain his name!
ReplyDeleteBeen*
DeleteIf we are to judge with looks, he truly does not look like a nice person
it has nothing to do with only GO preaching...the church has a time for service and some members always complain service is always too long...so for that day all churches were to hook up to GOs service and that was to be all for the day...this particular pastor and i am sure some others did another preaching again after GOs sermon...it is an issue they have always told them about at pastors meeting but some people no dey ever take simple instructions...na the same members too go dey always complain...i personally believe he was calling the pastor a goat to symbolize a stubborn person who never listens.. the matter is just being over flogged because na leke talk am.
DeleteI see arrogance and pride written all over him. I don't think he's one person that knows how to apologize. I just hope he treats people around him with respect.. and yes, I am a RCCG member
ReplyDeleteHopefully he will be able to apologise to the Almighty since humans are beneath him. Oshi
DeleteAnd this one will claim he has the Holy Spirit in him.
ReplyDeleteI once used to attend a church like that, where the pastor used his pulpit to openly whine and criticise both members and leaders while chastising (manipulating) them with the bible. One fateful Sunday he called an elder to the front of the church, just before the pulpit, and insulted him for attending another church without him the pastor granting permission. The church was full that day and that elder, an adult in his thirties, was sobbing like a baby. The pastor berated him, abused him, all in the name of Jesus.
I had been considering leaving that church for a while but that day was the last straw for me. I never went back there. I don't believe in humiliating people in the guise of religion and 'daddy-in-the-lord' Daddy kee you there.
I'm sure his supporters will see nothing wrong in what he did and will be chanting "we're loyal, sir". My only loyalty is to God. So-called churches these days are a mess and if not that I have my own personal relationship with God, I don't even think I'd claim Christianity with them because I've seen the atrocities committed and covered up in the name of the Lord.
May God help His people.
U for mention d pastor name make we check for register weda God call'am.
DeleteMay God have mercy on us, Amen.
yes he has the holy spirit in him because he is born again...does he listen to him all the time? answer might be no...even you with your criticism dey mess up sometime....
DeleteAn 'elder' in his 30s...?
DeleteHow?
Father please have mercy on Pastor E. A. Adeboye, help him to finish strong and finish well in Jesus name.
ReplyDeletePastor Leke don't grieve your father all over again
amebo prayer, who told you adeboye will not finish strong? where did you hear he has been grieving his father?
DeletePastor pikin, na só plenty be, very wayward.
ReplyDeleteThe one for my church that year, male pikin carry dada for head dey form musician/yahoo boy. Female pikin come be better runs girl who later had a child without being married.
Someone said devil actually works overtime on Pastor’s children and if they are not careful, they turn into something else
Evil does not work any overtime on them, they hardly have time for their kids in the name of pastoral duties. You cannot eat your cake and have it, Choose your calling wisely. either parenthood or pastorship you can serve God and make heaven both ways
DeleteEka you are so right about the waywardness. We had one pastor like that one time, service will be going on the girls will be upstairs with jambox playing loud music and cutting eyes for guys in skimpy wears twerking. I pity for that pastor and his wife cos those their children really rubbish whatever work they were doing for God.
Deleteso who told you leke is wayward?
DeleteI pity his parents.
ReplyDeleteI pity his wife.
I can't even sit in a church where this kind of person is the one preaching. When them no tie my legs there.
Wetin Baba loke go judge go plenty! Hian!
hmmmm
ReplyDeleteWasn’t he the one talking about tithing sometime with toothpick in his mouth?
ReplyDeleteThat's why I don't like this making church your family possession that is transferred from parents to children.d children don't know how hard parents have worked and toiled and prayed and fasted.tbey get it ona platter of gold hence the arrogance.what this so called pastor said, left me speechless his refusal to apologise, even more.pastors of these days na wa.if you can't be humble and accept your wrong,u have no right to be called pastor.
ReplyDeletewho told you RCCG is a family possession? why are all his other children not talking? leke has worked in the church office for years that is why he oversees certain aspects of the church because he rose to that position..it is not a family business and Adeboye has never made it so.. if you are head of a place, live there of course your life will revolve around it...stop analysing what you know nothing about
Deleteevery Christian knows the goat and the sheep analogy in the bible so why are they blowing this up because leke said it? if GO had made this comment we for no hear any noise. free the guy
Delete@annon 14:54,mabinu,as u know every come and educate us.
ReplyDeleteStopa condoning wrong
ReplyDeleteAs the good sheep that he is, he has revealed himself to be even more stubborn and heady than the people he was rudely condemning as goats. The bureaucracy is collapsing on itself in that organization. When you see your father in-law as a boy to your Dad, how in the world would you respect him? Give Leke form to go and fulfill his calling in oshodi garage. MC Oluomo still dey recruit.
ReplyDeleteNa so children of eli do for bible so i know dey surprised it has happened in the past
ReplyDeleteI actually thought the goat is that one of greatest of all time 🤔🤔. Not knowing it is the real 🐐
