Mrs Stephens allegedly tortured her maid, Miss Joy to death and after she realised that Joy had died, she and her husband hung hung the body and went to the police to report that their housemaid had committed suicide.
The girls relatives who were aware of the issues between the couple and Joy raised an alarm and investigations revealed the girl had numerous body wounds, and the autopsy reportedly showed that she had died before she was hung..
Both were promptly arrested and will soon be charged to court when investigations are complete.

DeleteIf you are not happy with the work a maid is providing for you, or she is stealing why not just send the person away instead of allowing the devil to dwell in u. I know someone that has a cleaner that comes daily because she doesnt want anyone livn with her.

DeletePlease treat your maids & drivers well. They are human beings too. I know someone who used to slap her maids & even relatives living with them when provoked. Consider it a privilege & a blessing to have them in your life, many wealthy folks in the west do not have such luxury as labor is more expensive & a maid/cleaning service can charge up to $200 for a 10 hour/ day cleaning visit! Daycares even cost much more! Some even hire minors who bathe & get their fellow children ready for school while the bosses will not help them get an education even in a nearby cheaper public schools. Some of those women recognize DV from their husbands but don’t see the logs in their own eyes. Be thankful. Chauffeurs get paid from $60k/yr upwards in my state so most wealthy people would rather use a cleaning maid/service once every 1 to 2 weeks or even once a month, Uber if they are not driving their car or taking public transport. After “using” a fellow human being for 18 hour work days at next to nothing pay, they still treat them poorly. Some even consider themselves religious despite regularly beating their maid forgetting the “do unto others part of the Bible”! It’s wicked to hire a minor or to hire an adult & abuse them. Nobody knows tomorrow. May her soul find peace with her maker in Jesus Name.

Your housekeepers, drivers, gateman etc are not your slaves. Treat them with respect. ReplyDeleteVery wicked couple. How much is noodles? Mine that steals my money, squandered the the goods in my shop, very sluggish and bedwetting. She was attending one of best private schools in my area with extra classes because she couldn't read or write when hubby brought her. I was the one footing her bills even though she's related to hubby. I never lay my hands on her. I talked, and talked, and got tired of talking. We travelled last year Feb for my mum's final burial and i jejely returned her back to her parents in good health. Her parents have been calling me to come and pick her but I told them that Lagos is somehow now. This girl nearly killed me with urine, she urinates every night. Me, I no carry househelp again. My daughter is ten now, she does the dishes and also assist me with other house chores, what else do i need?

Hmmmm Susan... Are u aware of the naira equivalent of £10000? It's almost N8m oooo!!! Even 10000 pence na N80,000. No maid that I know of earns that in Naija unless the oga or madam also earns in £££££££££££££
