    1. Have you tried losing weight naturally? Have you considered seeing a psychologist as well to understand why you eat so much. Most times, weight gain is as a result of what we've been through. I am not suggesting this is your situation but it's always best to sort out why we eat so much before opting for surgery.

Yes! I cook very horrible fried rice (in my opinion). Is it because I don’t add liver?

    1. Do you use turmeric? And you MUST stir fry the veggies in enough oil and seasoning (curry, turmeric, bouillon cubes etc) to release that signature fried rice flavour before you mix it in with your rice.

If you dump the veggies straight into the pot of rice without frying it first, you’re just cooking vegetable rice. Hope this helps 🤷🏾‍♀️

    8. 4 secrets.

Use salted butter to stir fry the veggies in not more than 60seconds.

Wash raw rice with chilled water to SET IT. Do not parboil or use salt so the broth gets to soak in good.

Steam diced liver with boullion cubes and white pepper then fry a little with butter.

      DO NOT USE ANY ONION.
      Spring,celery,leek or colored onion.
Your fried rice starts to lose taste the minute it's off the fire.

      😘Bon Appetite

Let me drop a jara tip for coconut rice.
After setting white rice in chilled water.
Soak in coconut water for 2 minutes before pouring broth and condiments to cook on fire.
The flavor and taste is different.
So when next you break those coconuts, jide the mmili aka,odi mkpa.

Don't mind anyone saying you can't cook.
      You can always learn.

    9. Thanks to u all. And yes, I always fry like my life depends on it. I don’t use liver cos I hate it but I add onions so I will stop using onions. When next I try, I will put all of these points into consideration. Thanks again

    16. If your stock isn't rich your rice won't be tasty no matter the amount of vegetables u put in, your rice should b measured such that it balances with the stock. If you don't address that u end up adding too much water and the food looses it's taste. For colour go for tiger/ducros or Gino and your fried green veges... Tumeric gives colour but if u ain't careful with it it changes the taste which will best be called tumeric fried rice so don't use if I ain't sure of it .. for taste get seasoning cubes, meat spices, shalot ginger, garlic white pepper, thyme rosemary bay leaf etcsalt hot unripe pepper if u want it hot u add extra, get ur chilli pepper fresh or pounded, all this you will blend to get a rich taste, crayfish does alot twist in stocks but one needs to be extra careful very little of it and nutmeg I prefer the seed, u grate it... Add all these to ur protein, when cooked filter the water into our parboiled rice. Stir check for taste and seasoning if needed the stock should be a little above the rice level. Get foil paper seal up ur pot cover then cook on low heat 30mins.. get it veges stir fry, u will have to season it too.when cooked. Heat baking fat turn it cooked rice in when hot stir then add ur fried veges, liver n sausage. Stir.... Ur rice is cooked... Note the reason why you fry the rice in hot oil is so that it doesn't go bad on time.... Try cooking this with 2 cups of rice.

Drink water first thing as you wake up and before meals. Drink at least 8 glasses a day. Cut down on meat and fatty foods as they could clog the arteries preventing free blood flow especially if you are up to 40 years of age.

I have seen Catholic ladies who got married to Muslims and they have grown old together I know one family whereby their father is an Alhaji and have a son who is a reverend father, the day of the ordination the Alhaji,s family where all in the church. One of the Ex governors of Lagos state his wife is a staunch Catholic. The Catholic church does not stop their ladies from marrying Muslims all you need to do is to ask the man if he will allow you to continue to attend church and allow you baptize the children in the church and also allows the children to go to church. If he allows all these they will bless your marriage and you continue to receive holy communion if you are a communicant. My very close friends younger sister is married to a Muslim and they live in the UK although the man did not agree to all these Catholic terms initially but he finally agreed recently and their marriage was blessed and the two children were baptized so she has resumed taking of communion now. So poster do you.

I can't walk well as a result of this dizziness and ear problem and i have gone to ENT and done various tests with the usage of drugs but its still not going, please, what can I do?

I am not active at my place of work again and its affecting me.

    1. The dizziness and ear problem are related. The ears help in balance and motion.
So while you wait for results, speak with your doctor about suggestions.
I have had it before, though I don't have the genotype.
I was diagnosed of vertigo by an ENT consultant.
All I was advised by ENT to
      1. avoid sudden or fast movements of your head and upper body.
2.Avoid use of ear phones and loud music or sounds and vibrations from eg generators, heavy machineries.
      3. When getting up, do so slowly.and stay still before walking.
      4. Eat vegetables eg. Beetroot, watermelon, red pples, figs, fruits and
      5. drink lots of water.
      6. Eat foods, don't starve but moderately. Healthy fats like avocado, native oeqr, olive seeds.
Snack on dates, peanuts. Reduced processed snacks.
      7. Rest and schedule your work for immediately after resting so you can perform better.

My own suggestions, if the ENT doesn't see any troubles with your ears, you might have to just follow through with the suggestion I was given and if it persists, go to the hospital to check your hormones level.

In my case, the ENT didn't find any issues and it was my hormones that was spiked causing the dizziness. I was pregnant! Lol
It's all gone now, even before having the baby.
It lasted for about 1 month or so. I wasn't given any medications.

    2. Are you on ibuprofen? Ringing or thumping in the ears is a side effect of this drug. If you used it at any point to relieve pain associated with an SCD crisis, try other pain meds but only those prescribed by your physician. Also, check your PCV, stay away from cold and visit your physician again and ask for a CT scan. Finally, try and get some rest. I wish you well

      Delete
    3. I forgot.
When you begin to feel lightheaded, just stay still,, close your eyes and take very deep breath.
Lie on your left side when sleeping. Don't get up abruptly.
This isn't just for pregnant ladies o. Doctors say it's the best way, if need be.
About your nose, press the bridge of your nose and take deep breathes afterwards.
      Best wishes!

    1. Is it really necessary to take blood tonics after every period?
Except your suffer from menorrhagia (heavy periods) and in which case you should see a Gynecologist, your regular foods and vegetables should suffice.
Do you feel dizzy during your periods? Have your done a pcv and discovered it was low?

    1. Take one day at a time, live mindfully to avoid sin, don't be too hard on yourself, GOD loves you and be preayerful

    2. Being born again is as simple as ABC..

Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour. Believe that He loves you and died to restore you to Him. Confess your sins and be saved.

Congratulations! Now you have the Holy Spirit, the seal of your salvation dwelling in you. Study the scriptures, He will bring light and understanding to you. The gospel of John is a great place to start-Jesus's love is so clearly visible there. Read versions of the Bible you understand: NLT (new living translation) is one of my favourites, and easy to study. Commentaries are helpful as well (David Guzik has a great commentary on the bible, you can Google his name and the bible chapter if you find yourself lost).

You may download youversion bible on playstore as well, it offers tailored bible reading plans and so many Bible translations which can be downloaded and read offline.

After reading through the gospels, the book of Romans tells of God's unconditional love and grace to you. Ephesians talks about God choosing YOU before the foundation of the world.

Well done and God bless you!

My friends in UK said i shouldn't come as UK is hard i just dey confused

    1. Social Work is a good field and has a good potential of getting a job with sponsorship afterwards..

Which masters degree isn't draining? If that's how you keep thinking my dear you won't move forward in life. Life is tough but you are tougher, always remember that.

Your friend is not a good friend, sorry to say. Anywhere you go as an immigrant won't be easy. You may have to do menial jobs that are hard and demanding. But they are just temporary. Be determined, make your mind on what you want to do in life and take forward steps. I saw an Instagram post of a lady who came to the UK and started off as a cleaner in Primark, but is now a doctor. A whole medical doctor! You can do anything you set your mind too. Often tines, we are own worst enemies.

In summary, do more research on what the course entails and what you'd need to apply. Sit up and act. If you have the money for fees, go for it. Social Work is a hot field in the UK. Forget your friend and move in silence.

  25. This is for Eka Joy.
Posted, don't think it's publishing, router error or sort.
    So I repeat.

4 secrets to a tasty fried rice.

I think you get to boil the rice after you've added the broth.
Or maybe she has another great pattern, but that's how I make mine.

    4. Eka hahaha.

Wash rice with chilled water, don't parboil then cook with broth before you fry it with sauted veggies.
The taste will definitely be different this time.

      Fidel I will report you o. 🥺

    1. Sorry about that.
What's the cause of the sensitivity?
Try to see a dentist. Go to a general hospital costs waay less but could be time consuming.
Before you find time and some money for the dentist, buy sensory toothpaste.
Helps a ton for teeth sensitivity but that should be as yoynplan to see a dentist for proper long term guidance.

How's your oral care and nutrition like?
Brush twice a day with soft toothbrush. Eat foods rich in calcium and vitamin D.
