Governorship Candidate Obiora Agbasimalo has been missing since September 18, 2021 when he was kidnapped....
The 40-year-old, who contested the governorship election, was kidnapped during a campaign rally of the party in Azia, in the lhiala Local Government Area, on September 18, 2021, prior to the November 6, 2021 governorship election.
His whereabouts have remained unknown since then.
It was alleged that after the kidnap, top members of the party told his relatives not to report the incident to the police or make any press release which might provoke his abductors and worsen the situation.
A source said the family was assured that he would be released after the election.
The source said the family waited for two weeks after the November 6, 2021 election to see if he would be released by the hoodlums without any result.
“So, the Obiora family mustered the courage to go to Abuja and reported the matter to the Inspector-General of Police, who directed the IRT to investigate and find Obiora.

Kidnapped since September 2021 and still not been heard from? I pray to God and hope he's still alive.
ReplyDeleteWhy would the Party chieftains ask them not to report the matter to the Police and they also agreed?
Something smells fishy...
This is so sad
ReplyDeleteHe obviously poses no threat to any candidate from Anambra St. Probably a business deal gone wrong. And it's been long he's missing, may God see him home.
