    8. Anon 17:28.. I absolutely agree with you on this one. The Nneka movie had the best cinematography i have seen in nollywood so far. It takes one with the knowledge of post production to see that! Besides, the movie still has a continuation..so that person saying it had neither head nor tail...entitled to your opinion but I beg to disagree..Im wondering why living in Bondage is not on the list though? And the lady who likes to slap people 'Tao' ought to be on this list...whatever happened to Twyse? Do these guys know how tough it is to clone a character in these skits... I'm glad the Kiekie lady made the list, she's effortlessly funny. And Yes! Bisola was so believable in the Lady called life( recommended) and Bimbo did great in Breaded Life with her Igbira Accent.( i got emotional when Timini bought her a birthday present, and she said 'nobody's ever remembered her birthday..(made me teary- recommended). You see that Gabriel Afolayan guy is underrated i swear! There is absolutely no role that young man cannot deliver! I saw him in a yoruba movie on youtube- Alubarika, all i can say is 'That was a stellar performance! I had goosebumps all over watching him. Anyways, may the 'choice' man win (can't say best,But let's hope the best wins)

    9. Nneka the pretty serpent was a good production and I'm sure that most people rating it low are only doing so because it's not star studded. For me, everyone one of the actors gave a stellar performance and I'm rooting for them in every category they were nominated.

Stan Nze is a fine actor and I'm glad I got to see him transition into the fine actor he is today. I pray his efforts gets rewarded this time.

    10. Nneka the pretty serpent was a disappointment. Fine cinematography, yes but storyline was wack.

  6. Stan Nze and my lovely Diane Russet all the way

  7. Smart money woman for best series and costume for me. Love their attention to details, plus the cast over understood the assignment, the costume was really nice, osas stole my heart ❤️ from that series alone. Looking forward to more seasons.

Hmmm, I’m shocked (as Stella rightly predicted) to see this Nneka the pretty serpent movie up there. Like the movie was crap. So many loose ends and unrealistic scenes. Boring cliché dialogues. The directors of the move didn’t obviously didn’t rate his audience much in reasoning. Indeed Mediocrity is our bane in this country.

    1. True that on Nneka the pretty serpent, the movie is below par for a movie that is a sequel sort of,I was so disappointed in the story line.

      Delete
    2. Most of those so called sequels are crap. They will raise your hope and dash it

      Delete
    3. Spongebob, the only exception to crap sequels is Living in bondage 👌👌

      Delete
  8. Funke Akindele is really on fire!! Happy for Bisola, Diane and elozonam. Toyin Abraham didn't get a single nomination?? Nawa!

  9. Nneka the pretty Serpent and
    Rattlesnake

are still being nominated some three decades after? Nollywood needs to go back to its root.
    They have lost it.🤔🤔

    3. 🤣🤣🤣 chai!. Anon you should have just skipped this post

      Delete
    4. Aren't you aware that both movies have sequels? You can Google both movies and see for yourself.

      Delete
    5. @Eka and Mrs. S
I stand by my comments. I don't care about your "sequels"
Those movies have sequels because they were so outstanding. People remade them to
reap from their excellence. And how huge a flop they make of these older movies.
There are so many charlatans in Nollywood.
And it is not only in NOllywood, even Hollywood. Have you seen a movie in the class of
The Sound of Music again or Cleopatra? Everything is being reduced to the three letter word.

      Delete
    6. My concern with your likes that like to talk down other people's work is that, you can't even do a quarter of what those people did if given the resources. It is very easy for you to sit in your house and slam their productions with your yen! Yen! Yen! Mouth. Let them give you paper and Biro to write script, make we see na! Or make dem give you script to act and you can't do Jack! You think it's because of your type they make their living?! Making noise about Hollywood! Your type cannot even help them carry ladder on a set in hollywood talk of having the effontery to tag yourself a critic. 20 rotten tomatoes slam on your head! If you don't like a movie, off your TV or watch another one! Don't come and be spilling bile on people's hustle! Do your own, let us come to cinema abi na bustop to watch! Go and sit down biko!

  10. Congratulations to the nominees. That Stan Eze and Gabriel Afolayan spot is tight. Both great actors but u see Gabriel ehnn ahh.rooting for u. Just Hope make ojoro no dey.

  12. TASTE BLISS CAKES AND PASTRIES.24 March 2022 at 12:01

I expected to see King of Boys on the list.

    1. Maybe King of boys will be in the next nomination

      Delete
    2. I was quite suprised KOB didn't make that list. For me that was by far the best production in nollywood that year. All-around and Beyond...I loved how there wasn't so much noiseee before, and then when viewers were left to watch, we did the noiseee for the movie! That's how you make an entrance! Kemi and her team killed it! Mama Sobowale issa Legend! Her expressions just keeps blowing up our screen! I'm waiting to see her in this Kunle Afolayans new movie...I'm sure she nailed it scatter as expected. I'm also looking forward to see the Hollywood 'Hakim' man, his yoruba accent while in prison in that Hollywood Series 'Dynasty' was so funny I swear! He's omoyoruba with the oyinbo tongue. It is well o! We want more comedy abeg! The weather is too hot!

  13. Bisola is on fire. Happy for herm

  14. I really don't know the buzz with ômô ghetto. I slept off many times watching it . Not comedy n not that interesting for me o . Rattlesnake is cool

    1. Most of these nominated movies and actors pay heavily to be on the list

      Delete
    2. Wow! Do you have proof though? Would be really disheartening if the right people are exempted despite their sacrifices. This life no balance. Nepa o ma wa ga Oooo! Month end now, you will bring Bill! What is all this! Using one hand to fan, using the other one to type! Generator noise everywhere! Mosquitoes are dropping hits back to back! Aboki is saying 'he don fully booked'!,on top to bring water o! Nibo latun wa jasi bayi oluwa! Shebi Buhari haff come back? Hep us beg the uncle that off the light to hep us on it!
