I believe since I did a brief introduction about myself, no need for long talks about me all over again but no, after the hi, it's tell me about yourself or can I see your picture. That's tiring.
DeleteSo, I got a call around 5pm yesterday and after battling with network, I finally heard him say where are you with such bad network and loud noise? I said I was at the airport and about boarding but who am I speaking with so I can call back when I land? He said "I will be very direct, did you say you "shubby"? Was like excuse me? He said "I just want to know if you are very very shubby that's why I'm direct cos some men don't like to waste time". At that point, I became livid and told him off albeit politely. He ended the call and sent me a message apologizing on WhatsApp and said all the best.

As you read in Scripture about the people God used to accomplish great things, you discover that much of their time was spent preparing for what seems like a relatively brief assignment. The ego in each of us craves two things - limelight and longevity! But with God only one thing matters: doing his will. When you can say like Paul, 'I have finished the race,' you have lived successfully.
So, who does God use? Those who are prepared! Whether you're called to business, art, education, politics, medicine or ministry, this principle is immutable: opportunity comes to the prepared. That means every experience in life has potential value. Disraeli said, 'One secret of success in life is for a man to be ready for his time when it comes.' And it's not enough to simply get prepared; you must stay prepared. Solomon writes, 'Hold on to instruction...guard it well, for it is your life' (Proverbs 4:13 NIV).
Knowledge in most fields doubles about every five years, and unless you keep growing you will end up with outdated skills that don't match the challenges of the world you live in. And here is another thing: preparation doesn't start with what you do; it starts with what you believe. When you believe that tomorrow's success depends on today's preparation, you see today differently. Queen Elizabeth I reputedly offered the royal physicians up to half her estate if they could extend her lifespan. But, of course, they couldn't. That's why the Bible says it's important to recognise 'how short our lives really are so that we may be wise' (Psalm 90:12 NCV).

Becox as I type this, one shark research unfortunate institute under one Ocean like that, currently needs someone who can be assisting them in brushing their sharks teeth 2 times a day. They have 7 sharks and it is 10k dols per brushing. (Imagine you brush teeth 4 times. 40k gbam!) Also, one zoo in one unfortunate island like that, needs someone to dress up in a male gorilla costume and pretend to be a male to cheer up the females so that they won't be depressed. 15k dols per cheering. My wife had a misunderstanding with her friend some years ago. It was while they were returning from a wedding along Bassa L.G.A here in Jos.
ReplyDeleteAnd when the misunderstanding and exchange of words continued, the friend pulled over by the roadside and asked my wife to get out of her car.
"I should get out of your car? Chika? Because we are arguing?"
"Get out!"
Her friend opened the door and pushed my wife out.
"Do you have a car? Get lost."
"How do I get home? Chika!" My wife exclaimed.
She couldn't believe it. She couldn't believe she was being sent out of her own friend's car.
The friend closed her car door and drove off.
That day I waited for my wife to come home but I didn't see her. I called and kept calling. I was worried. Her line wasn't reachable. I called Chika to ask about my wife and she told me she dropped her off somewhere along the road. She described the place to me and I exclaimed.
"What is she doing there?"
Chika didn't reply me. She just ended the call and switched off her phone.
Hours later, my wife's call came in. She told me she was on her way home and that she was stranded but had successfully gotten a car. She told me she was picked by a stranger who offered her a lift home.
When my wife got back, she explained all that had happened to me and how her friend had abandoned her at an isolated spot and left her there.
She told me about the bad network too that stopped her from reaching me. Then she introduced me to the man who had seen her walking on the road barefooted after she had removed her heels. He sensed she was stranded and offered to help her.
I thanked him.
He introduced himself to me and I did too. I told him I was a writer and a scriptwriter too.
He was excited to meet me. He told me he was a movie producer and was about to open his production house in Lagos. He needed beautiful stories that could be acted into a movie. After going through a few of my works, he was impressed.
That man gave my wife some money before he left. He gave me the biggest gigs I wrote. He played a major role in securing the job my wife got at the ministry. He became a family friend to us.
A very good one.
My wife's friendship with Chika ended, but unknown to her, she had helped connect us with someone who had an impact in the life of my wife and me.
Sometimes your enemies think they are fighting you, but unknown to them, they are only helping you meet your helpers of destiny. They are helping create a faster route to your success in life.

My little brother had appendicitis and was operated on last week,his call up letter came few days to the day he was operated on.Now his posting is out to far North in Bauchi .
We were advised that, it isn't safe for him to travel that long distance now.
Please house I want to know if it is possible to defer his posting to the second stream or has anyone been in this type of situation and how did you go about it.
Advise and suggestions will be appreciated.
Let him go. Nothing will happen to him.
