Ogundipe told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Ado-Ekiti that she was full of joy because of the baby.
She said that faith in God and support from her husband kept her going after many years of childlessness.
She said
“I have tried this IVF before now and it failed. It was a friend who introduced this particular hospital to me.... I had to come all the way from Oyo State to Ekiti for the IVF,”
She advised women looking for “this kind of precious gift” not to lose hope and said “if God can do it for me at the age of 63 years, he can also do it for them.
She further advised young women with problems of childlessness to seek help from specialists as early as possible.

*I hope that she has a good support system? Birthing a child at this age leads to a lot of health complications!
Hmmmm
ReplyDeleteIt is well with her
Than God she is sincer.
DeleteA 63yr old will be well attended by her doctors through pregnancy and Ceasarian section. She will be fine. Women her age are surrogate mothers birthing their own grand children.
Congratulations ma.
Did she ask you what women are age are doing or not doing? Gosh. Smh
Delete*her age
DeleteAnonymous 14.46, I think Ms.Saphire is responding to Stella. What she means to say is if her mates can successful birth children, albeit not theirs, so can she.
Delete14.46 I am responding to Stella's comment.
DeleteTrolling me must be your day-job. Hope it puts food on your table.
Okay, I misinterpreted your comment Ms Saphire. My apologies 🙏
Deletegood news ...I urge her to ensure she has kept aside assets to take care of this child at 63 yrs .kid will be 10 at 73 and so on dont bring a kid into the world and make it another persons responsibility
ReplyDeleteI thank God for her, the most important thing is for her to experience motherhood which she had wanted to. It doesn't matter how old she is when the baby is 10.
DeleteStephanie you say what? The most important thing is to experience motherhood? What about caring for the child and making sure he does not lack, make sure the child is well trained and does
Deletenot become a nuisance to the society? An old woman having a child, who will take care of the child if anything happens to her tomorrow and she did not make plans for him?
You are among the school of thought that only cares about bringing children into the world like like rats and leaving them to rain around and fend for themselves or starving them of the basic needs.
10:22 go and kill the child na, since you are so vexed about this news. You don't know the financial or family circumstance of this woman, yet confidently spouting BS.
DeleteAnd WTF is rain around, ehn?
10:22 off the mic
DeleteThey will soon come and call you evil. Leave them
Those whose parents are still alive yet they are using innocent girls to do yahoo, please o, how come they are a nuisance to the society despite being birthed early? I'm using this illustration just to show you the utter foolishness of your comment anon 10.22. Some of you never like good news no matter what.
Delete10.22 I understand your point of view but some minds o this blog are never ready for that kind of depth in reasoning.
DeleteMy God father/mother adopted a male child 5years ago. They are retired village school teachers and has an only grown daughter. They were over joyed at the adoption of that male child to carry on their family name but I couldn't help feeling so sad for the poor child because to me, that act was purely selfish. That baby started drinking pap from day one, no baby formulae. At 4years old, you need to see his body...anyway, he looks like an average village child sha. I send what I can once in a while but for how long?
I just find consolation in the fact that he at least didn't fall into worse hands. He is 5 now and his parents are 68 and 71. May God help him.
Don't sugarcoat it by calling it depth in reasoning, call it what it is -> wicked reasoning.
DeleteYou cannot use your godparents as yardstick for another couple. Live and let live!!
I wonder what makes people think that a woman or husband and wife that can afford Ivf, won't be able to afford money for upkeep. Can we just rejoice with them and let them be. If they aren't string enough, other family member will help them.
DeleteIt is well with her. God bless and keep the baby.
ReplyDeleteStella what are the complications???
ReplyDeleteThank God for her.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to her, but I think this is selfish...at 70, children will be 7, and she will be chasing after them at that age? Trust my Naija people to quote Abraham and Sarah, forgetting that not many people get to 200yrs old...smh
ReplyDeleteIt's not in your place to make that statement. Walk a mile in her shoes next time. By the way, the number of years she or you yourself will live is not in your hands, so come off your high horse you hear.
DeleteThey will soon come and call you wicked for this truth.
DeleteSelfish? I'm guessing you are either single or you gave birth immediately after marriage. You do not understand the agony of a woman TTC for years. She will still try to conceive even in her old age.
DeleteAre you the one that will determine how long she has to live on earth? Some kids lose their parents at a tender age and still live good lives.
Nonsense comment !!!
Yes, and rightly so, you are both wicked.
DeleteAnoy 10:39 they don't understand what it means TTC for years. Koye wọn rà rà. Congratulations Ọlọ́run adasi, ìṣe ẹ a ṣe ojú yín lórúkọ Jésù. With long life will the Lord satisfy for you and your husband, you will continue to flourish even in your old age.
DeleteCongratulations ma'am

ReplyDeleteHonestly, the whole things sounds like an ad for the hospital.
ReplyDeleteShe is financially capable of taking care of the baby and she has her loved ones around her
ReplyDelete63 is a bit old however if she has a good support system and finance she and the child will be fine. Evrybody should calm down.
