Washes plates for his wife?
ReplyDeleteA man does chores in his house and it’s for the wife? π€¦π»♀️
Yeah Perxian. But when the woman contributes financially, it is not seen as doing it for the husband. It is rather, seen as doing her part. LOL.
DeleteThe thing sef tire me o, common plate if the wife spit out all that she does now at home, most people go fly go everest come back.women are the selfless human I know# proudly a woman-beign .
DeleteThank you Perxy, HRH and Madam koinkoin.
DeleteAs in...perxian...i was gonna say this but i didnt want to be named a "man hater". I cant stand it when men say they "help" with chores and only do it when they "feel like it". It should not be expected of them...sickening
DeleteDont mind them joor, whether na kitchen plate oh,bedroom plate oh,plate na plate...πππ
ReplyDeletePlease what is wrong with washing plate after meal?or does his own washing of plate means something else,I don't understand.
ReplyDeleteI might be wrong but it looks like it's only in Nigeria that it feels strange for a man doing chores.
DeleteIn the abroad, you assist eachother.
Well said ππ
ReplyDeleteOur mindset is warped in this part of the world really! Every house has it rules, however they choose to run theirs it's their business..netizens should let them be
That means they'll drag my husband to the moon and back if he ever reveals that he goes to the market, cos I do not like market runs.
DeleteI agree with you man, thanks for saying the pure truth
ReplyDeleteWash plate for wife?and Nigerian men like Dante and ceaser are angry? lol! Plate that both of them used to eat? Mtshew. Wives, even if your husband doesn't do it , no wahala. But if he does it , it's also not wrong. Haha!
ReplyDeleteIt is the people who can't lift a finger that will insult him. Good job Arole!
ReplyDeleteOne of the key things to look out for in a partner is kindness, a kind partner won't see these things as a big deal.
Exactly!!!!
DeleteThank you π

DeleteWait what? How is this even an issue to people?
ReplyDeletesome men re even the cook in their house, no biggie. na wa o
ReplyDeleteE nor go pass men wey go cuss am for washing plates, who do some Nigerian men like this and why ve they become so bitter and frustratedπ€π€π€.
They are pained that their women will use Woli as a yardstick when ever she wants her man to do chores
DeleteHow is washing plates that both of them used to eat an issue??if he wasn’t married won’t he wash his plates after eating or employ a house help? All of these things like cooking, washing ,cleaning are basic survival skills that one should know how to do wether man or woman,so it shouldn’t even be news in d first place.
ReplyDeleteHope both of them sharing rent won’t be an issue for the woman
DeleteI tire!
Delete@Anonymous 12:31,what are you even saying? Of course if Marriage is a partnership, then sharing of bills shouldn't be a problem..really..well I guess people marry for different reasons. If my spouse is struggling financially, why oh why wouldn't I step in, it is our home for crying out loud, same as washing of plates, cleaning, cooking etc. Help out, because you are kind and two of you have become one.Always give a 100% in your relationships, even if it fails, you know, you tried!

DeleteGod bless you man,do what makes your wife happy and your home peaceful.
ReplyDeleteWomen are the most vocal about division of marital duties and obligations in Nigerian societies.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, it is also women who are more vocal in complaint where the physical duties and obligations are strictly enforced by Shylockian husbands.
The women who deserve the most emphaty are those who because of reason(s), carry duties and obligations on both sides of the divide created by society.
There is nothing big about domestic chores.
There are men who do all domestic chores better than their wives or who know how to better than their wives.
Some men don't do domestic chores or do not want to do them because of the societies' dictates.
Some men want to do but cannot because they do not know how, yet pride won't let them ask to be shown how.
For generations, even far back as Abraham in the Bible, men have engaged in domestic chores for themselves or together with their wives. Women have also been known do beyond domestic chores for their families - husbands, children, parents, and siblings.
It is the set of some today's women who shirk their family responsibilities under the canopy of religious sound bites who truly deserve the men who shirk being MEN at home.
For dis our side, we sabi sermonize. So hope say all the young mothers are -
1. Taking their sons to the market to learn how to select good food stuffs and haggle over prices where haggling is permitted.
2. Training their sons to do ALL domestic chores at home not as punishment but as life skills for themselves and support for family.
3. Teaching their sons that husbands do ALL domestic chores.
4. Willing to be attended to and served by their sons during visits while daughters-in-law are having down time, or me-time, or relaxing in front of cable channels after work or children care, or just relaxing, or etc.
For Lady Stella
ReplyDeletePlease do a post one day to let young mothers tell us whether and how far/well they are teaching their sons to be domesticated AND not to be "bad" husbands as their fathers. Make we learn. Thanks.
Seconded mannnnn
