    4. For an igbo person, it's too dark, too soft, they can't understand why you could cook soup with beans, they can't imagine serving their swallow and soup in the same plate. But for most of us who have travelled and conquered the sight of it and prejudice, we are stuck! Amala and abula is bae.

Not every Nigerian can even stand the sight.

  2. Abula.....Ibadan owns this..,

My efoo riro is ready..na one good food like this I go use am chop..don't know the name to give to it but I made it myself.

    Make I describe

Buy one small paint bucket of white lady(yam flour)

Buy another small paint of that small white rice🍚 used for tuwo.

Grind the rice to a very smooth level that will make it look like that yam flour then mix it together thoroughly.

You can prepare it like normal poundo yam..so sweet, full of nutrients

    2. Hello Akuoma.
      I just saw your post.
Protein diet is doing away from any form of carbohydrates, sugar and soda.
I eat moi moi, beans, boiled eggs, ọkpa, foi-foi, goat meat pepper soup, fish pepper soup, suya and other forms of protein you can lay your hands on.

Another thing I observe is portion control.
It is essential in weight loose journey.

If you are preparing your food, please try and reduce adding too much oil in your meals.

      Salt!!!
Salt should be used in very tiny bits, try and do away with all these seasonings or if you must, please reduce your salt.
Some of us are not fat but very bloated, no thanks to high quantity of SALT in our body.

A younger brother of mine eliminated SALT from his food and lost 3kg within 10days!!!
He has given out all the seasoning and salt he got during the festive period.

May you achieve the desired results you seek.
      Cheers.

  25. Anything cooked with tomatoes, I have stopped eating. They are nightshades and are also high in salicylates. If most of us with medical problems like arthritis, severe heartburn/ulcer, allergies, adhd in children etc, can stop taking tomato based products or just tomatoes for a week, you will see how much your lives will improve. Some people may not react to tomatoes but there are others that their bodies will be unable to fight the effects of tomatoes.😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

    1. Wow really. I eat a lot of tomatoes with my pasta and rice. I have GERD

    2. My mom has arthritis and can't do without taking tomatoes when she wants to fry egg. How can I encourage her to stop all these fry fry and now adding tomatoes to it? God help us o

      Delete
    3. Femilicious, yes if you have Gerd, you may want to completely eliminate tomatoes from your diet. Since you love pasta and rice a lot, there is an alternative called nomato that can be used or you could make it yourself. Trust me, if you erase tomatoes, you will have the ultimate relief and will never go back to tomatoes based products. It will also save you from swallowing pills to ease your discomfort. Just try it out and see how relieved you will be. It's hard but it works....😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😏😢😢😏

  27. Few times I tried eating amala, very well made ones oh with better soup, I vomited it straight up. Same with all my sisters and brother. Only my mother and father were able to tolerate it.

I really really tried, but I just couldn't keep it down, but I can "ro" the amala very well.
I tried giving my pikin too years later, the white elubo we have here, without him knowing my story, Omo, na so this pikin vomit the amala, 1, 2, no wasting time.

We quietly eat our poundo yam. I no fit.
