    The week started on a sad note for my family as we lost an uncle.
    A young, calm and healthy guy who's barely forty.
    He traveled home for the festivities and instead of going back after the celebrations, he decided to go to the great beyond.😭

    This is a painful one but all I have to say is: Rest in peace uncle B.💔💐

      If not stay still and try to keep your mind still.
      When you start your mind will be all over the place, but meditation involves a lot of practice so keep practicing on quieting your mind.

      Time yourself, you can start with just 1 minute and keep progressing.
      Some monks can meditate for days and in those days it's said that they don't age.

    When someone disagrees with you, be tender without surrender. You will never be able to please everyone. You will always meet people who like to argue and quarrel. Some people will contradict everything you say. How should you respond to them? One of the tests of spiritual maturity is how you handle those who disagree with you.
    Some people have a need to demolish anyone who disagrees with them. If you challenge, complain or criticise them, they respond with a full-blown personal attack. What do you do? You have three alternatives:
    (1) Retreat in fear. Many people choose this route because they haven't developed the ability to respond in gentleness. So, if you're a 'peace at any price' person, it will have hidden costs in your most important relationships.
    (2) React in anger. Anger is often a sign that you feel insecure and threatened by someone's disapproval. It's a warning light that tells you you're about to lose something, often your self-esteem. When we become angry, we may become sarcastic and attack the other person's self-worth.
    (3) Respond in gentleness. 'A gentle answer quiets anger, but a harsh one stirs it up' (Proverbs 15:1 GNT). This is the kind of response that requires a fine balance between maintaining your right to an opinion, while equally respecting another's right to their opinion. It requires being tender without surrendering your convictions.
    Sometimes you must stand by your convictions. But other times you must ask yourself: 'Is our relationship more important than the point I'm trying to prove?'

    When I was in Uni in the late 80s, and up till when I left Naija in the mid 90s, I had some friends who only dated rich Hausa guys. So, whenever we were in Lagos, do you know where they went in order to meet these type of Hausa men? The Polo club at Ikoyi.

    When I was in Uni, I had an older friend who was an aristo chic. Every once in a while, she would go to Abuja for the weekend and pay for a room at NICON. She would then spend that weekend hanging around the hotel. She would have dinner on her own at the restaurants. Lounge around the bar on her own. She would subsequently come back to school on Monday or Tuesday with business cards of the rich and famous.

    A few months ago,My friend took me out to lunch. We went to Eko Hotel for their buffet. At the next table was a beautiful, well dressed lady. She was lunching on her own. On one of my trips to refill my plate, she walked up to me and asked if Nathaniel was my husband. I said no. He was my friend. She asked if she could approach him. I said no problem. She walked up to him and introduced herself. She makes high end clothes for men. I think they exchanged numbers. I don’t know if he eventually did business with her but I am sure that he was not the only man she approached and that she did that regularly. She knew her target market and so, she went to the place where her target market would be.

    There is a reason why a lot of guys play golf. The same principle applies. It is only in Nollywood that rich people meet poor people o. In real life, olowo’n s’ore olowo. The rich befriend the rich. I hope you got the principle of what I am saying? The type of person you want to be, go where that type of person goes. Don’t be hanging with the wrong crowd. Your network is your networth.

    My weekend started good, was taking it one step at a time until yesterday afternoon his TV he is using for business fell of his hand and broke😭 this is the second TV in a space of a year

    Been down all through the weekend with severe cough,difficulty in breathing and b.p issues, am barely 30years old, have been on the covid medications for 5days now though there's improvement but the recovery rate is so slow,am so weak and wornout,my life seems to be at a pause right now. I pray for God's healing upon me Amen.
