INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD

When I meet people at informal gatherings , market, church etc and they ask for my name and I tell them, I don’t add Mrs or any title, some people immediately raise their nose up, especially the married women( I hardly remember to wear my wedding ring)

When they find out I am married with kids they are usually stunned and ask for my first child’s name so I can be referred to as “mummy xoxo" , they also talk to me with a little more respect .

It’s not nice, whether I am married or single I should be treated the same. Having kids or a man shouldn’t be the reason I should be treated better. As much as I love my kids, I prefer being called by my name and not someone’s mom and no matter how I explain myself I am made to feel like I am not grateful to God that he gave me children.

I love my kids but since I got married and had them, that has been all my life revolves around. My name is my identity, to me its a reminder of who I am and it reminds me of the little girl with big dreams, it gives me so much joy when I hear my name, it’s the one thing that is mine and mine alone . I don’t know if anyone is in my shoes or I am just being weird ( weird here is good, I carry the badge with honour) .

All I just want to hear people say is my name and not mummy xoxo. I am an entity with my own personality and all. I am more than just a mom.

Being a mom is great but I am me first.

I understand you totally...Abroad nobody refers to anyone with their first Childs name... Your name is your name.

NAZIRITES INK

I always give thanks, with joy and gladness for every food I eat whether or not it has meat or fish or that am comfortable or satisfied with it.

First, I understood by scriptures and revelation that when we give thanks for the little we have, it multiplied. John 6:11. Jesus gave thanks and it certainly multiplied.

Secondly, giving thanks became my actual lifestyle, the day my friend's cousin who had an accident was discharged from the hospital, I visited.

The broken windscreen cut through his mouth, into his cheeks towards his right ears and it had to be stitched. Neighbors, families and friends came with varieties of foods and snacks and he couldn't eat any of them, he just watched.

That was also the day I understood what inspired the popular primary school lunch period prayer song "Some have food but cannot eat, some can eat but have no food, we have food and we can eat....".

Look here, We live by grace and not by right.

Never take what you have for granted, always give thanks for the little you have. Tomorrow will be great.

Some will have bread and be complaining....

  1. God knows how to open new doors, how to cause contracts and promotions that you don’t deserve to find you. Don’t settle there and think, “Just my luck. I never get any good breaks. Why did this happen to me?” It happened because there’s a calling on your life. There are new levels in your future. The good news is that storm can’t stop you. God knows how to get you to the shore, but it may be an unconventional way. It may be out of the ordinary. It may happen without the boat, you may have to swim to shore, but the grace will be there to do it. - Joel Osteen

I thank God for the unveiling of His Word in my spirit today and always. Now I know that I cannot be sick or disadvantaged because the “unsickable”, “uninfectable”, and indestructible life of Christ works mightily in me. There is no area of darkness in my life and health because the light of God’s Word has illuminated my entire being.

  6. DROP THE BONE IN 2022

A dog has taught me an important lesson in this encounter.

I was in a car commuting from home to my daily errands. The car was speeding at about 80kms per hour.

Suddenly, I saw a dog running so fast trying to overtake the car so that it could cross the road.

I was frightened that the car would overrun the dog. I was praying that the dog would increase its speed and cross the road safely. The car was fast approaching the dog.

Then, I saw the dog suddenly increase its speed and was able to cross the road successful.

Pheew, I sighed, thanking God it wasn’t hit by the car.

But, there is something I noticed that fell off before the dog suddenly increased its speed.

I asked the driver, could you please reverse. I need to see what fell off.

When I saw what fell off, one of the greatest lessons sunk into my thick skull.

The dog let go of the BONE.

It was that SIMPLE, it reached a point where the dog had to let go of the bone in order to gain speed and save its life.

Men, the dog is SMART… I thought.

    What’s the LESSON?

    Let go of the bone.

There are bones we have held onto in 2021.

If we succeed to let go of the 2021 ‘BONES’, then we will do wonders in 2022 and years beyond.

There are so many types of bones which for sure have held us back.

Let’s make the painful decision of letting go of the bone of disappointment of 2021.

    - Failure to seek new thoughts or new ways of doing things is a BONE

    - Doing things in the same unsuccessful manner, year in year out is a BONE

    - Thinking that money alone is the source of your happiness; that’s the HARDEST BONE

    - Going to work late and acting irresponsibly is a BONE

    - Not worshiping God, be it in a CHURCH; that’s a tricky bone, even the hyena cannot handle.

    - Watching our friends fail; yet we could have helped them succeed is a BONE

    - BONE of anger and resentment, that is the heaviest of all and have greater consequences if we don’t let go.

These are only few examples, but the list is endless.

Let’s drop the BONE, so that we have a prosperous 2022 and years ahead.

Please tell all your friends and your loved ones to drop the BONE.

Bones make us lag behind from reaching our God destined potential.

Drop your unbelief it is a BONE.

Murmuring and complaining is a BONE

I will start it tomorrow or next week but will never take a step for one day is BONE.
    Procrastination a bigger BONE.

Maybe you are disappointed by friends or family member please drop the pain off you it is a BONE.
Please look unto GOD the author and finisher of our faith.

It is indeed time for Elevation for those with kingdom priorities...

I hope this inspires someone here ✌

  9. Chile! Men are the messiest.

I'm FB friends with one ex because we have family friends in common..he was my first boyfriend actually. So when I came around last year, he found out and we chatted. Now, we are not friends and I don't care for him in any measurable capacity and he knows that. Today he chatted me up that his wife has put to birth and guess what..that his baby (girl) looks like me. Okay ๐Ÿ˜’

As if that's not cringe enough, he now video called to show me his baby while saying stuff like "my first love" and all this time, his WIFE was in the background. Though he prolly was goofing around, I had to be louder than necessary to chide him so that his wife can hear that I'm not with the shit. He got offended. Idgaf!

Oh and the baby looks nothing like me, she's light skinned and cute as a button and that's where our 'resemblance' ended.

Don’t be friends with the ex.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I feed mine breast milk and formula till 1year when I gradually introduced cereal. But I soaked very little in hot water for about 10-15 mins so it’s gets pretty soft and meshed then I add more milk. Why don’t you do a lot of breast pumping and get a strong cooler that will retain the warmth or better still, stick to formula then still breastfeed at night and mornings.

      Delete
    2. The white enchantress, I was thought that after 6 months, milk alone is no longer enough for a baby and so babies must start taking semi solids or solids (if they accept)

@portable, I was given the go ahead to start giving age appropriate Purees of vegetables or carrots at 4 months because my baby showed sign of readiness.

You can start with very watery pap plus formula, pureed potatoes, pureed fruits etc. If u check Google, u will see numerous options to pick from and don't forget to check with ur paediatrician to give the go ahead.

I love it when I'm referred to as Mummy xoxo. There's this inner joy I feel, like so this small me of yesterday is now someone's mum? It makes me remember all I've asked God for and how He has been gracious to me so far. I'm forever grateful.

    I greet y'all...

  42. Poster with the ARV sister.
You know the kind of parents that you have yet you want to feed your sister to them.So that they will love you more or so they will reprimand to the point of being suicidal?
The fact that she is trying to hide it so she can live healthy is enough load already for her.
The best you can do for her is to call her in private and talk to her. Let her be assured of your love regardless.
We have people living on drugs everyday.
My mom for instance is diabetic, hypertensive plus has fibroids. She watches what she eats too. There are people besides your sister with various ailments that involves then living on drugs on a daily.
For such people,it's the love that people give to them that keeps them and their desire to fight for life. The drugs is a plus.

Overtime, you could be dropping hints to your parents in conversation how the health would has developed so much that people with HIV can now live healthily. How their viral loads help too when they want to try for children.

Advice her to join one of these their support groups in any general hospital abi where them dey go collect drugs. She could meet someone there in case she feels she may not see a negative person that will take her that way.

Las Las abeg, whichever way she got it regardless, she should try to protect innocent people and not be taking her drugs get passing it on out of anger or so. Two wrongs can never make one right. Although I heard there is point in one's viral load if you are religious in taking the drugs that you will not infect another.
Doctors mbok correct me if I am wrong o.

Ignore my long essay. Empathy is key

In all of these, there is the ONE that can change impossibility to possibilities. I know Him as he has turned so many impossibilities in my life possible over the years. Jehovah can heal her.
