    1. I suggest from 6 years, anything earlier than that nay result into him or her messing the place up, washing of hands is also important after the use.

    2. No right or wrong age per say, but when that child can bathe his/herself

    3. Please house, can I ask my school to send my bsc degree transcripts to Wes, then later used the notarized results to apply to Asian or European unis for MSc. Is it possible.
I am asking because, it's over 3months I applied to get a student copy of my transcript, something that they wrote takes 2weeks to be sent to an email you provided. Nothing up till now. And scholarship application starts in February. I'm really tired of Nigeria's lackadaisical attitude to education.

      Delete
    4. Anon 14:47, it's better you go to your school's transcript office to complain or send someone. Tell then about the urgency of the student's copy of your transcript.

    5. Alright. Thanks Adire

    6. Nigerian schools have stopped sending to personal locations, you have to provide an institution within Nigeria and also tip someone there to retrieve it for you.
I have trying now for 5months

  2. How can I get my baby to sleep especially at night without breast. Like she wakes up several times at night and except u put the breast in her mouth, she won’t go back to sleep and will start crying.

P.S she is not hungry because she will just suck for a few seconds and fall back asleep.

I intend to stop breastfeeding when she’s 1 and this is starting to bother me because of this dependence on breast to sleep.

And no, I won’t be able to do the cry it out method. I can’t stand her crying at all

Any other suggestions will be very much appreciated

    1. I started giving my son yoghurt 2mths to when I weaned him. Like say btw 2am-3am. That is after feeding him by 10pm or 11pm. And then he'll sleep through the night like that. That's what I did because of his attachment to sucking at night. And it wasn't very difficult when I finally stopped breastfeeding him.

      Delete
    2. Give her a pacifier/binky/dummy instead.

      Delete
    3. Fidel, she already takes yoghurt but she doesn’t take bottles so that wouldn’t work

Anon, my baby totally refused to take pacifier since she was about 3 months old so that’s like out of it for me

      Delete
    4. I didn’t use pacifier for any of my kids pls don’t it’s for lazy mother’s

      Delete
    5. Anon 15:04, na wa for this ur mindset. I bet u are one of those women that judge mothers just for the fun of it because I don’t understand how u will call a woman lazy for giving her child pacifier. Na wa

      Delete
    6. Anon 15:04,learn to talk. Which one is lazy mothers? 🙄
It's pple like you that crucify women for birthing through CS or not breastfeeding exclusively. Learn to improve on your emotional intelligence.

      Delete
    7. 15:04, it is not right to say "it's for lazy mothers'" no two kids are alike; some kids do well with pacifiers others reject it out rightly.

      Delete
    8. Have you tried giving her water instead? It worked with my second baby, that's if likes water though

      Delete
    9. Well if all else fails, you’ll have to do the cry out method to deal with the breast dependence which will get worse for you in terms of your sleep self. You need sleep to function well and so you’ll be emotionally and mentally there for her and take care of her. If you don’t sleep well you’ll find yourself irritated all the time and yelling self. She’ll cry for few days, or tops 1wk. Your child also need to sleep through the night for proper brain development and emotional growth. So Choose one. Goodluck.

    10. Give her children drink with straw whenever she wakes up at night.

      Delete
    11. I breastfed for 18 months . My baby to slept with breast in her mouth. How did I stop her ? Cry it out. When she woke up in the middle of the night to suck, I would wake up and make her food. She would cry then eventually eat. Within three days she stopped waking up. That was how I weaned my child

    1. How do I open xlsx files on iPhone 13? It doesn’t open. Please help!

      Delete
    2. This is a good business but location, source of supplies and capital is key. Where do you intend to get your goods. The interest on nylon is like provision business. The key word is turn over. If you have a good location especially near a market where turn over is high. Embark on the business. You will not regret it. Remember not to establish it near a wholesaler If you are not selling in wholesale because people will not mind to enter taxi to your competitors shop because of N50.00 difference. Lastly don't depend on pure water factories or bakeries around you for sale because most of them make their own nylon or buy direct from manufacturer

  4. Please I need a review on R...le maternity hospital or can anyone suggest a good maternity hospital on the mainland?

Also at what week should one register for antenatal.

    First time mom.

    Thank you

    Replies
    1. Do you mean Mother and Child in Surulere?
I gave birth to my first child there. It wasn't a bad experience, just that there are a lot of women using their services too, so you'd have to go there very early on the days you have antenatal, in order to see the doc early.
You can also try the one in Lagos Island, close to St Nicholas hospital (I have forgotten the name), it's very good and well equipped.

... And you should register for antenatal as soon as you confirm that you're pregnant. You'll be going once a month for now, and increase the frequency as you approach your due date.

      IMPORTANT: start taking folic acid

    2. Thanks Priceless Elly, the one I was referring to at Lagos Island is called Island maternity.

  22. For the past one year now I've been having menstrual-like cramp occasionally. I've tried to track my menstrual cycle to predict at what point it comes but I've noticed that it's haphazard. It comes anytime. I've done two pelvic scans relating to this complain but nothing was found. I did one at a reputable lab in Surulere and another at FMC. My period is regular and of normal flow. But I'm worried. I'll be 30 later this month and not yet married.

Is this normal? Should I be worried?

    ReplyDelete

    1. The scan said you should not be worried. It might be cramps that come with ovulation (some women experience it).
