Nollywood star, Jim Iyke, has revealed that he paid fellow actor Uche Maduagwu to beat him in a video that went viral in 2021..
In August 2021 Jim beat Maduagwu up for questioning his source of wealth and the video went viral .
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo published on Wednesday January 5,2022, Iyke said
“I called the man, we had an understanding, I paid very well for it, rolled out the script, called Moses in, we shot it and we’re about to release the ending of it. I’m not stupid. I will never make that kind of mistake.”
Iyke added that it was his strategy to promote his movie, Bad Comments.
“We buried over N20m in the production of that film and people were still viewing it with a certain degree of cynicism. Immediately there was a scandal, it caught fire,” the actor revealed.
He further noted that he was discouraged about pulling the stunt but went on with it because he understood what the people wanted.
Iykw said, “I even called my sister the day before and she said that it will backfire. I said ‘No’. I understand people’s mindsets. They have a propensity for gossip and bad news. There’s no way it would backfire.”

ReplyDeleteYh. Bad comments is a lovely movie. One of the best of 2021
DeleteYour so called celebs and idols are so fake that even their good morning is a lie. And a lot of the gullible ones believe them. So sad.
ReplyDeleteReally wish it wasn't, that guy needs beta beatings
ReplyDeleteHahahahhahaha... you are right tho
DeleteBelieving everything you see on social media at your own risk. I'm still looking at Regina Daniel and her husband concerning the 27million naira Xmas gift with one eyes.
ReplyDeleteAbeg, forget those people..their marriage don't interest me..I have never said Aww..so cute..Can I look at their pictures the way I look at adesua and banky's pictures or ebuka and Cynthia ..infact,I'll do aww for Anita Joseph and her hubby..but with Regina and that man..I don't even have time to look twice

ReplyDeleteI remember when comedian Helen Paul said they (celebrities) intentionally create scandal for clouth, so Jim, I'm not surprise
ReplyDeleteNaija yeyeberities are as fake as fuck!!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't believe their fight then. I was like Uche is lingi-lingi and looking for who will kill him.
ReplyDelete1. Stop calling them celebrities. The fake life started the year bloggers started calling these people celebrities.
ReplyDeleteCall them by their professions - actors, musicians, entertainers
2. Jim Iyke likes to fib. It seems people have a short memory.
3. A movie with good plot does not need tons of lies in PR stunt to catch movie-goers attention.
I mentioned it here that it was a stunt and some BVs dragged me to filth. I even went ahead to tell them that I had someone in his team that confirmed it was staged but dem no gri hear. Ngwanu Una don hear am.
ReplyDeleteBv Agadi
Where Jim Iyke see N4.5m to give person for ordinary beating. The Uche will know will gladly take N20k for that 1 minute stunt. Jim is still lying to fool himself. I forgot--he knows what Nigerians like. That is overinflated price for everything. If Jim paid N4.5m, make I bend
ReplyDeleteAll him try it still don't work. He had the scandal with Keturah, the so called relationship with Nadia Buari, now he faking beatings and still nobody cares. Let's see what he comes with in 2022 to get him in the news.
