Nigeria should do same biko or rather add Mondays to the weekend
ReplyDeleteHaba... Saturday and Sunday is enough. Most Nigerians working in government parasitical are not even productive, add Monday or Friday to it, they wont even come to work at all.
Deletelol,my dear the weekend ends so fast, before you know it,it's Monday again.we need enough rest
DeleteWe already do that here in Nigeria off the books. Everyone knows better that to go to a federal government office on a friday. Especially in Abuja. You no go see anybody
ReplyDeleteNa so
DeleteTrue. From Friday afternoon, most government paratatals don't work anymore. After the Friday prayers, don't even bother. They will start going home and if they don't go, they will sit idle and gist and tell you to come back on Monday.
DeleteThe only government workers that work till weekend are the various forces like Police, Army and former NEPA. Go to PHCN office on Saturday, you will pay your light bill
True
DeleteNice one.

ReplyDeleteNigeria needs this too!
ReplyDeleteHow can one get work permit for UAE? asking for a friend 😔
ReplyDeleteThis is what the Kaduna state government has just passed into law. 4 working days, 3 days weekend.
ReplyDeleteNigerian government are more interested in regulating Netflix. This one no concern them
ReplyDeleteSenseless, Saturdays and Sundays have been weekends in Nigeria since the early 70s
DeleteAlexander Senseless, did you read my first sentence (and refuse to talk about it) or you just chose to pick the one that suits you and your senseless government? Be guided please.
DeleteGood move. It works in a country like this because staffs put their all into being productive during working hours. If you try this in Nigeria, the economy will suffer, productivity will drop and every day will become a holiday.
ReplyDeleteInteresting......
ReplyDeleteWhen i was serving in one of the LGAs in Abia State, for some of them, their weekend starts from Thursday and they will resume back to work on Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteThis is Northern Nigeria standard na. Offices close at 12, even up to Abuja
