Ooni Of Ife's Wife Olori Shilekunola Announces The Beginning Of A New Era 3 Years After Marriage

The Queen of Ife, Olori Shilekunola has announced that she is walking away from her Marriage of three years....

''I bless the Lord almighty for His faithfulness in the last 3years of my marriage. In life's journey, it isn't how far. Still, how well, indeed though satan should buffet if trials should come, I have this blessed assurance controlling all situations and saying to me it is well with my soul.

Certainly, it is well. I made my journey into the ancient throne of Ife with faith in my heart and love for the keeper of it.

Few impressions I would love to correct. If anyone knows otherwise, they are free to come up with facts. Let it be known that this decision to move on did not come because his majesty is married to another queen. As many would love to assume, throughout our life as a couple, I was the only married wife to him. There were side attractions, but it was never an issue.

I never approached him with any revelation of any sort, as many believed he contacted me first and made his proposal known several months later.

The marriage was not an arranged one, as many have misconstrued. I never knew the prophetess said to have introduced me to him. Instead, he introduced her to me after I agreed to marry him. I was only being polite out of respect for him.

I have never been pregnant all my life before Tadenikawo; my son is my first ever pregnancy with medical reports to back it up

The girl who is said to be my daughter is my niece

I did my best to endure and make it work; many times, I smiled through the struggle, but I have finally realised I had just one assignment, my son, and when God is done, He is done. He chose Saul to be king, and when He was done, He told the prophet Samuel I have moved on. Religion was never an issue between us; please refer to my interview on News Central TV.

Instead, His Majesty has a picture he would love the world to see and perceive him as and another one which is his true self.

Today I announce the beginning of a new dawn and the close of a chapter. Today, I am a mother to God's unique gift. I am no longer a slave to my thoughts of perfection. I, at this moment, announce that I shall no longer be referred to as wife to the Ooni of Ife or as Queen of Ile-Ife but as the Queen of the people and mother of my adorable Prince.

Awwwww, we love you Olori!

    2. So sad.....People succeed at being successful in career and other parts of life but u see combining all that with success in marriage is challenging. A lot of people we admire check their marriages
Shilekunola really tried. And she showered the man with so much love publicly. A lot of women learnt from her. I wish Ooni try to get his acts together. All the women who have left can't all be wrong. Whether it's his Sisters or love interests, involving too many women in ur affairs can't work. Queen Naomi was too good and graceful to loose...

    8. This woman never had a relationship with God. I hate it when spiritualists pretend to be Christians. Good luck with your future madam but please stop pretending to be a Christian. Own your fetishness with your full chest! Nothing concerns a true child of God with the Ooni of Ife.

    2. @Anonymous 11:41, the silent battles people fight in marriage cannot be told in one chapter. Some women in my Church are jealousy of me thinking that my husband is the one taken care of me and the kids, not knowing that the reverse is the case. I recently bought a vehicle of a little over 3m but my husband present it in Church as he is the owner. Sometimes when my husband give me ride to office, they will say am enjoying.

    4. Rosemary, there is an adage that says " if we cannot move forward, may God grant that we should be able to go back". Meaning, may we never find ourselves in a despair that has no solution. My advice to you is, apply wisdom. Don't let the many "walk away" and divorce stories you see around and on the internet strip you off your God given ability to persevere through your marriage trials. I don't know what the issue is but I beg you to calm down and humbly sort through the problem and keep your marriage. With wisdom, you can navigate your husband's imperfections knowing that you don't have the luxury to leave as this olori does. Weigh your options and be wise enough to make decisions that profits you and your children.

      God bless.

    1. Itohan was heavily abused by people. Thank God at least people seem to be more understanding with Naomi.

  46. Her write up was so queenly.
    No shade, no bitterness.
Just telling her story and keeping it straight and civil.

    God bless you Olori Naomi.

    1. "His Majesty has a picture he would love the world to see and perceive him as and another one which is his true self." is this one not a subtle shade or you chose not to see it

    2. If you see it as a subtle shade, yes it is but in a very polite manner.
Graceful write up, elegant and intelligent woman.
May Gods peace be upon you ma, your royal Highness

    3. If you say no shade, then check your intelligence.

    4. 15.50 what does intelligence have to do with shade or no shade? It's not that serious.

  47. "His Majesty has a picture he would love the world to see and perceive him as and another one which is his true self." I can resonate with the above statement because I practically experienced that with my ex-clergy-husband - two-faced man. i know what it is to be crying in secret and openly laughing with people as if all was well! But, I am ever grateful of the day i said: "No, I deserve to be treated with love, value and honour, not as a slave." There are many pretentious men whose aim is to get married to innocent good women, only to abuse and demoralized their self-worth. I thought Ooni was different.

    1. Loud it sis... Many pretentious men out there. Unfortunately the good and innocent women are mostly their prey. Wicked!!!

    3. Exactly what I went through. I cried for many years just to make it work but I never succeeded. The best decision I have ever made in my life was the day I held my son's hand and left and that day was the happiest day in my life. Every one has a story to tell. Women are passing through hell behind the doors. He completely turned me to one of his properties, he only picked me when he needed me like his shoes or clothes. If I start my story you will shed tears......

  48. I don't pity her one bit, you married a king what do you expect to be the only wife? Go and train you son and give him a good life.If God give you another opportunity marry for the right reasons.

This Ooni just dey sample women.

  51. What was she thinking? A "a Christian prophetess", with the head of the "heathen". The Ooni was traditionally a religious position and gradually amassed political/royal power. I always thought it was greed that took her there. The way she packages everything as God's plan, you go fear manipulative prowess.
Anyways, she's still a winner since her son has royal blood and may be eligible to the throne. The stool rotates though, so he's not heir apparent.

    1. She is extremely manipulative, I believe the story that she told the Ooni that God said she was his real wife. Very dangerous spiritualist masquerading as a Christian.

  53. Marriage is not easy at all,one minute u are in love and want to spend the rest of ur lives together, the next minute u both don’t even want to see each other face to face anymore,u don’t even want to cross the same path anymore, honestly I’m very scared of marriage, and our society will be pushing single young single girls into it and taunting the ones that are yet to settle down asking them when they will marry. Its more like the more we look the less we see.

  61. I said it here several years ago that if Ooni could discard sis Bukky, marriage isn't sure for him. I'm sadly shocked by this though, because Naomi had this we die there attitude. Hmmm, Ooni go and ask sis Bukky for forgiveness, she will never come back to you but you mistreated her. Wishing you all the best Prophetss!

This isn't about her. It's bout the Ooni, who do the wives keep leaving.

  64. So Olori Wuraola has finally been vindicated. They treated her like shyt when she chose to divorce said it was because she did not birth any issue, and the abuse she took from complete strangers was unreal. Now this beloved who birthed a son is taking a walk too. Hmmmmmm. When a woman is leaving a marriage with a young baby on board don't ask her anything, situation must be unbearable beyond measure to leave like that. We on the outside only see the pictures with the smiling faces, we don't see the arguments and the pillows full of tears in the dark of night.

All the best to the Olori. May you find your peace.

  66. The Gods are not to blame. Who is advising the Ooni, and why is there marital drama trailing his reign? There are other Royal monarchs within Yoruba Kingdom and they live peacefully in their abode.

Lack of maturity is what is causing all these embarrassment. We can't blame the oracle, if royalties as in adults are acting erratic.

I hope the Ooni's marital life will not taint his reign.

  67. You see why we need to celebrate with those celebrating there success in marriage for some years....cuz is not easy...May God give you more grace Olori to overcome ur challenges in life

  68. Ooni new wife Ashley is very forward and flashy. U cannot keep her in 2nd place . I’m very sure na the new wife wahala lol.

All this kings like to acquire women as property but no be women wey eye don open. Ooni like somewhat classy women but classy women want monogamous marriage.

If Ooni marry one village girl from Ife she will be happy with being an item in the palace
