They cut across the Air Force, Army and Navy; around 25 of the senior officers are in the Army.
An impeccable source told Daily Post that Irabor gave the directive at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja on Monday.
At a 2pm meeting, the CDS thanked them for their service and told all present that it was high time they left office.
But the Course 36 Generals still have more than three years before their retirement.
“They are about 50; 2 of them in the Army will retire in 2022, while the rest have about 3 and half years left in service”, the source revealed.

ReplyDeleteYou can be asked to tender your resignation letter in the military if you are found incompetent and the military want you lo leave honourably with your dignity intact. Failure to tow this path of honour can be fatal to your future endeavours within and outside security settings.
DeleteEyah, but why? good morning Stella mama
ReplyDeleteIs this right?.Generals don finish for army oo. Na colonels full everywhere. What a time to be a colonel.
ReplyDeleteWhat's going on? He gave the directives. Who ordered him to do this? There is more than meets the eye...

ReplyDeleteThis is premature retirement but it's best know to them all.
ReplyDeleteInstruction and orders from Oga at the top
I want to believe they went against the law. For those being asked to resign before their retirement time. But they will never give the full details to the public. It happened to some people I know.
ReplyDeleteBetter.... Make way for others.
ReplyDeleteThey should go and rest, but I still do not think the incoming ones will do better
ReplyDeleteMaybe they are really old
ReplyDeleteSomething is fishy.
ReplyDeleteSomething is fishy.
ReplyDeleteWhen we see the list of the names of those Generals, then we can comment. Until then XX
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly. Let's wait till we see the list.
DeleteTribalists, here they come! Good enough the Chief of Defence Staff is not a Northerner- General Leo Irabor, so let's see how you will spin this.
DeleteTribalist ooo or no tribalist. I too wan see the list. Let's not pretend that all regions of the country are treated the same. As if tribalism and nepotism don't run deep in the government.
Delete12.28 what's the pretense there? I guess you will say you didn't see the name Leo Irabor, shey? Smh
DeleteThe fact that you don't see that some of these Generals were not even allowed to retire when due...some with few years remaining and was told to leave is not the problem to you but to call others 'Tribalist' is YOUR problem makes it clear. Sheeps!
DeleteLeo Irabor is not the one calling the shots, he is just another puppet in the hands of his master. Just like Emefiele.
Pity you can't see that with your dumb comments.
Yen yen yen, it's now you know he's a puppet. Pity you never reason past tribalism. Big pity.
DeleteLOL!!
DeleteWhich proves my point l...dumb comment.
Pity yourself and bleat away.

Your moot point. #HaveYouBlamedGovtToday
DeleteHahahaha
Names please
ReplyDeleteIt is normal custom in the force, when a junior course member takes over the full general rank and post. The seniors shouldn't serve him. They retire/compulsory retirement. This makes the force intake regular thing.
