Hmmmm....
STAND ALONE NARRATIVE
TIPS TO MAKING AMENDS NEEDEDI gamed the system. Let me explain what I mean. I did some nasty stuff, lied, cheated, dribbled marriage registrations just to get my citizenship. Some of those stuff are felonies that will land one in jail for donkey's years.
I did all these while groping in the darkness of the world thinking that I was wise and smart. It was while I caught COVID and was hospitalized and death was so close. (All the people I called friends vanished. I understand that you couldn't visit me, but how about the phone calls and video chats we used to have, is COVID transmitted through phone chats?)
You won't understand if you have not been so close to death. I came to the reality of the embers of hell fire fanning for me. I had a good presence in social media then and all I did was display the "pepper them" kind of things. But there in my hospital bed, alone, I watched some gospel clips, not from any church but from Christians (God bless them) who came to share the message of Christ in the midst of the pandemic lockdown.
Simple salvation messages, no prosperity give, give. Really I wasn't listening to those types because I always considered myself to have been "blessed enough." But what are all those if I ended up dying and going to hell.
I knew I was headed there. I prayed and asked Jesus to come into my life. My ICU room lit up. My life lit up. The guilt of sin has gone.
I downloaded a bible app from play store. I devoured it. The only remaining stuff is this realization that I am here as a result of lies and the evils I did. How do I make amends, what do I do in this circumstance?
HUH????? I am not sure i know what to say, let me read the comments.
Na real wa o! I wish you well
ReplyDeletePray, fast and ask the holy ghost to direct you. thank GOD for the decision you have taken...
DeleteThis chronicle almost sounds like Ang's mischief but since the poster didn't mention fornication, the it's probably not what she may cook up.😂
DeleteCongratulations poster.
Ms saphire hmmmmmm, i really don't know what to say at ur comment 😅
DeleteAswear @ Ms Saphire 😂. It has her fingerprints all over it
DeleteForgive yourself and ask God to direct you. You really have to forgive yourself for engaging in such, then God will show you directions on how to approach it. You have not truly let go, you are still judging yourself, feeling unworthy of His love. Let go of that guilt, and watch direction come.
DeleteYou have encountered Christ Jesus, and you repented. Good, apologise to the people you hurt and move on.
ReplyDeleteDon't go confessing sin that will land you inside jail.
Begin and continue living an upright life with the help of your creator.
Go with this advice poster..
DeleteIf there's genuine repentance then he/she must have to confess, but then God is the ONLY ONE that can choose how to judge us of our transgressions.
DeletePls forgive every hurt and move on because in reality no one OWES US ANYTHING. I have stopped having expectations from people because a lot of people are going through some SILENT BATTLES THAT MIGHT EVEN BE WORSE THAN YOURS, so only GOD AND TIME is our only Gift and Entitlement. May God help us 🙏🙏🙏
The Holy Spirit will show you what to do. Ask him.
ReplyDeleteYou have to free your conscience by reporting yourself to the authorities.
ReplyDeleteYou also have to state why you are reporting.
1 John 3: 20If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. 21Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God 22and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him
Ignore this advice, don't report your self to the right authority because you would be deported
DeleteActually, this poster is forgiven, saved by Jesus and that is what is most important. Whatever else she decides to do is between her and God. No human should condemn whom God has forgiven. As many as are led by the Spirit are the sons and daughters of God -Romans 8.
DeleteAnony 15:07. You are a very wicked person and I want you to know that if you can spew out what you just wrote then you clearly do not have a clear conscience. I rest my case and everyone can interpret this as they deem fit.
Delete@15:34
DeleteI do not know the "crimes" that this lady/guy committed. But why not look at this this way? Supposing the crimes involves murder that is not solved. If your relation is the victim (please this is not a wish), will you like the "murderer to come forward with evidence?" And supposing an innocent person is in jail
for same crime. So you see that there is no hard and fast rule for this kind of thing and there is no need to insult anyone that airs his/her view?
If you confess to these crimes, you will go to jail. Jail is the fastest way to get to hell because right there you are in hell already sef. You will question your sanity.pray to God quietly in your house and keep your mouth shut. There is no greater sin. E go clear go your eyes once you sleep in and eat jail food for one day.
DeletePlease, don't mind 15:07. I go with lifted advise abi na advice. Don't go landing yourself in jail or risk being DEPORTED. someone I know did this while in the UK. She's here in Nigeria and suffering. I pity the innocent children the most. After accepting Christ and confessed, she was deported with her 5 kids. She can't afford 50k income per month. You won't believe those children were birthed in the UK. I reject it for you.
DeleteProvided no one is currrently suffering as a result of your misdeeds.
I see it this way; if I got pregnant out of wedlock and birth a child, will I kill the child to perform ' restitution'? When I come in contact with Christ? No offcourse! I will just turn a new leaf and try to live by God's standards henceforth
@*** Will it bring the person back to life?. Give your life to Christ and make amends by continuing with good works in whatever form you can is my advice. This poster is going through a major life change after a crises, they are contrite and have been given a second chance. If your own perception of contrition is going to jail or depending on the crime, losing one's life then you are akin to the self righteous Assistant Jesus's that will only advise but not do the same if they were in the same shoes.
DeletePlease ask God what to do, He will direct you. DON'T REPORT YOURSELF TO AUTHORITIES, EXCEPT GOD SAYS SO. So that you don't land yourself in trouble. Forget all this Bible quotes o. Ask God for direction
Delete@18:05
DeleteAnd if you happen to be in jail because of another person's crimes (not a wish please), will you like the person to come forward and own up and be freed?
Just an innocent question. Like I said above, I don't know this lady's offense and let's leave it at that. There is no hard and fast rule to this and God
speaks to his children and they hear him.
Poster remember Jesus said " go and sin no more" he never said " go and confess your sins to those you sined against". Be wise.
DeleteANG and ******, Apostle Paul masterminded the stoning of Stephen when he was in the world, after he became saved, I believe God sent him on a mission to the Gentiles to avoid friends and relatives of Stephen losing their faith because of Paul. President Obama also said he one sold drugs to get by when he was struggling financially.
DeleteMy point is, there's a place for forgiveness in Christ and even in the world, Poster stop being vain and showing off, I will advise you pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you on how to give back as a restitution for the wrong things you did.
Poster please go and seen no more! Go to God and confess, then ask for forgiveness and mercy. The blood of Jesus is enough to cleanse all your sins.
ReplyDelete@15:08
Delete"seen no more?" Huh
Isn't this your sentence a grammatical SIN?
Sin not seen ✌️✌️✌️
DeleteANG 15.18 stop being obnoxious! People make mistakes.
DeleteAnd you can't even read and see that she corrected her? What is "obnoxious" about a correction in sarcasm?
DeleteANG 19.55, why should you correct people with sarcasm? What happened to a simple correction, ehn?
DeleteFor you to be asking what is obnoxious about it shows you are no different. Meanness is the middle name of some of you.
DeleteYou have been forgiven already...
ReplyDeleteLive on, unless you wan come back naija😬 or you want to chill in jail
it's difficult as it looks, if I get you correctly what you want to do is called RESTITUTION
ReplyDeleteYes that's the word, restitution
DeletePlease Restitution is return of stolen items after repentance. The thief makes up their minds to do it and not under compulsion.
DeleteZacheaus, Luke 19:1-10, was a typical example in the Scriptures. Note that Jesus did not ask him to do it.
You already took the right step, but at this point, you need to ask the holy ghost to direct you.
ReplyDeleteCome unto me all ye that are heavy burdened I will give you rest. Drop all worries at the feet of Jesus Christ which am sure you have done. Let God do the rest for you. Call Him and He will answer. That is Gods words to you.
ReplyDeleteYou wanna make amends? Hand yourself over to the feds if you dont know how to zazu and make peace with God and yourself.
ReplyDeleteDon’t report yourself o . Do you want to go to jail?
ReplyDeleteDon’t report yourself , make amends by using your social status to preach .
Volunteer in prisons , orphanages and shelters .
There are many ways to atone .
Leave that ANG wannabe, let him or her be zeh-ing.
DeleteJesus has atoned for her sins. She has been unconditionally forgiven. so why tell her to atone again.
DeleteGoing to those places you mentioned is to earn a heavenly reward; she is already a citizen of heaven.
You've done well in acknowledging your past and asking for forgiveness from God. Cos he's fhe only one you need for directions and guidance.
ReplyDeleteRestitution.... good afternoon
ReplyDeletePray and ask God for forgiveness, He'll understand abeg, don't go and put yourself into trouble abeg.
ReplyDeleteThank God for your life. I will advise that you put yourself together and go back to your country or right the wrong anyway possible. You can seek counsel from any godly person you trust. God bless you.
ReplyDeleteThe holy spirit will direct you sweetie
ReplyDeleteAll you need to do is ask for forgiveness from God and live a good lifestyle, also let the fear of God be in you at all times. Goodluck.
ReplyDeletesince you have genuinely repented ask God for mercy...just continue reading the bible and spend time in prayer and fasting God will impress in your heart what to do...we dont know the nature of lies or all that you did but God knows and if he ask you to go do anything you can be dead sure he will have you covered...just obey what he lays in your heart to do. it is his prerogative to either have you pay for your sins or even though you are guilty wave the consequences. The bible says his mercy prevails over judgment so any which way he will work out all things together for your good.
ReplyDeleteForgive your self first
ReplyDeleteGlad you came to the realization of the vain and deceitful life you once lived, that in the first place is God showing you he loves and still has interest in you. The decision you have taken now is a step in the right direction. As for the remaining thing which is the realization that you are where you are as a result of lies, you alone know how you feel, what you have been through, how you came close to death, how your friends deserted you and how you know deep within you that it could only be God who saved and saw you through on your sick bed. You alone know the convictions you are now having in your heart and the guilt you feel. The one who loved you enough to save you is able also to lead you to the right path. Listen to him, pay attention to your innermost being, he might be the one urging you to do what you think is the right thing to do. If you're not sure of what your mind is telling you, you mentioned you downloaded a bible app. He also speaks to us through his word if we open up our hearts and let him.
ReplyDeleteIt's left for you now to choose between living in guilt and fear and your new found hope and peace. Remember, sometimes we loose to find ourselves.
May the Holy Spirit direct you.
ReplyDeleteGet in touch with holiness Rivival movement in the US. Or search them up their headquarter is in Abuja but their camp is also in North Carolina. Reach out to the pastor there. He will give you proper counsel. God bless and preserve you in holiness.
ReplyDeletePlease don't do this. Keep your mouth shut. Keep your secret to yourself. Don't let anyone start blackmailing you o. Trust no one. Talk to God directly.
DeleteI totally agree with this. The way the world is now, you can't trust anyone
DeleteGenuine repentance leads to a desire to redress wrongs.
ReplyDeleteWhen someone becomes a Christian,he will have a desire born of deep conviction to do good, and that includes making restoration whenever possible. The idea of “whenever possible” is crucially important to remember.
There are some crimes and sins for which there is no adequate restitution. In such instances, a Christian should make some form of restitution that demonstrates repentance, but at the same time, does not need to feel guilty about the inability to make full restitution.Restitution is to be a result of our salvation it is not a requirement for salvation. If you have received forgiveness of sins through faith in Jesus Christ, all of your sins are forgiven, whether or not you have been able to make restitution for them.
U are saved now, just read john till the end, ask God for forgiveness and pray.start attending church activities and mingle with pure heaven oriented minds and u will remain on track and not backslid.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to u.i pray the holyspirit will reaveal himself to u, and teach u the things u need to know in other to win this race.
Don't report yourself poster o. Pray and ask God for forgiveness, your sins are forgiven since you've acknowledged that you sinned against God.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Soul
Make Holy spirit you senior partner and he will direct and teacher you many things.
ReplyDeleteIt is well dear...
The Good Lord's your strength 💪
You're already walking on the right path, seek new friends who are christians and maybe , just maybe confess to the people you offended and ask for forgiveness.
ReplyDeleteDon't over pressure yourself poster for you in the right track.
ReplyDeleteOne step at a time, and good luck!!
Congratulations! Welcome on board. The Lord help and keep thee all the way to your journey's end in Jesus' name. Amen.
ReplyDeleteNow to your question. This right here is the toughest part of Christianity - restitution. This is when you'll know if you've really made a u-turn for Christ or not. To help you navigate this trying step of your life. Please read the following scriptures:
- Leviticus 6:1-6
-. Numbers 5:6-7
In short, read the books of Leviticus and Numbers extensively to really have in-depth understanding on restitution. I picked the two references above because they somehow are directly related to your case.
Your case is very delicate because, I'm sorry I have to be honest with you, you are about to lose your ability to stay abroad and lose it permanently. People may tell you to forget it but my dear, it actually is one of the determinants of your making heaven.
Let me tell you a story of a close friend of mine that died several years ago. I met her on campus. Someone had written both WAEC and JAMB for her. When she got to her 3rd year, she heard the message of restitution and the only solution was to drop out of school. People talked and advised her to rewrite WAEC and take it to the students' affairs to replace it with the one there. She asked them what of WAEC. No answer. She dropped out. She rewrote both exams thrice. By then I had even graduated. People laughed and scorned. After the third attempt, she suddenly fell ill and was sick for three years. Then she died.
Immediately after her burial, she appeared to me. In that dream, she was stark naked and her body was burnt. I asked her why. She said that all her works are being passed through fire. And that she was undergoing judgement. She told me many things but most importantly, that thank God she dropped out if not there would have been no hope for her.
Two months later, she appeared again. But this time around in sparkling white! She made it! My dear, your soul on the other side of life is by far more important than the few years you have to sojourn here on earth. Would you rather go to hell and be free on earth? It's your choice to make.
Retrace the steps you took to get to where you are. Report yourself. Pray hard before you go meeting the appropriate authorities. God can do a miracle and they'll waive everything off. A boy once murdered his friend and no one knew. Later on, after intense prayers, he went and gave up himself to his late friend's parents. They forgave him and even dropped charges when it got to the police. It wouldn't have happened like that. He may have been sent to jail for life. But for prayers.
Do the right thing despite what you see and feel and God will help you. God bless and help you.
So now if you carry belly born when you young, and later come born again, you go disown your pikin sake say you don encounter God? Please answer.
DeletePoster, some sins stay with us even when we repent. Just forgive yourself. Then ask God way to go, if you want to start afresh, grace abounds. If not, be a better person moving on and let your life radiate Christ.
Even Apostle Paul in the bible did so many dispensable things yet God used him mightily. We are all sinners and sin differently.
Just ask God to forgive you, then forgive yourself and allow God use you. That is the greatest atonement.
God bless you Supremeflow for these practical/biblical examples.
DeleteLet's be real with ourselves here. Even those that used fake proof of funds to obtain visa are advising restitution 😂😂😂
Poster, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new.
The past is behind you, leave it there
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
ReplyDeleteMy dear, whatever sin you have committed, once you have confessed sincerely and repent, God has forgiven you. Do not let the devil guilt trip you for what God has forgiven you of.
Keep reading the word of God and do what the bible says. Give yourself time to mature in the word (patience is a virtue), ask the holy spirit to teach you. As time goes on, the holy spirit will direct you to what to do. Do not go ahead of the holy spirit, else you will make grav
Else you will make grave mistakes. You might end up in jail or lose your peace of mind so don't rush at all. The Lord who began a good thing in your life will see it to a perfect end.
DeleteExactly.
DeletePoster you have been saved by grace and not by works that you should boast.
Christ forgave and accepted you before you even thought about confessing your past sins to the authorities.
You can make amends by preaching with your life. Just the way you made a lot stray, use same energy to preach with your life, not necessarily by sending them gospel text. Jesus need people who can preach by the way they live. God bless you as you make this religious experience worthwhile
ReplyDeleteI pray that God will guide you in the decisions you need to make.
ReplyDeletePlease let Holyspirit direct you but don't condemn yourself,Jesus loves you,you don't have to report yourself to authority,I believe God has a plan for you, find your purpose and pursue it,let Holyspirit guide you in a ll you do, and sin no more
ReplyDeletePlease let Holyspirit direct you but don't condemn yourself,Jesus loves you,you don't have to report yourself to authority,I believe God has a plan for you, find your purpose and pursue it,let Holyspirit guide you in a ll you do, and sin no more
ReplyDeleteWhat you want to do is called restitution!(only Depper life people understands this thing very well because they preach it very well in their Church) Omo it will land you in jail oo. Biko just live a sin free life henceforth and face front.
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is, if God is not the one leading you to go and confess to the authorities, please don't go. He might not go with you
DeleteNot every sin can be restituted. You have confessed your sin, God has forgiven you, move on and sin no more!!
ReplyDeleteI congratulate you on the step you have taken to surrender your life to Christ. Concerning your question, I don't think you should be asking on the internet o simply because not everyone on the internet is born again. This is a spiritual decision, not something to be asking strangers on the internet.
ReplyDeleteI will suggest that if you have joined yourself to a genuine BIBLE-BELIEVING church, speak to your SPIRITUALLY-MATURED pastor. Not the ones that are only interested in pinning you down in their church because of your wealth o.
If you are not yet a member of a church, prayerfully seek one. I pray the Holy Spirit guides you. Whichever way, there will be consequences which you should pre-settle in your mind. To what extent will depend on the kind of counsel you receive and go by. May God help you.
Do nothing but hold your faith in God... begin from there... things will gradually be unfolded by the Holy Spirit and then you will know what to do.
ReplyDeleteHold on to your "Bible-Praying" and Bible reading... God's promises are well written there... but it will challenge you.
Peace.
You have made peace with God,why should you condemn yourself when God has not condemned you,old things are passed away o.Except you receive clear cut instructions from God to do otherwise, abeg dey your dey oo,no let anybody put sand for your garri.
ReplyDeleteI think you have done what you are supposed to do, that is, giving your life to Christ.
ReplyDeleteThen, if there are restitutions you ought to do, do them.
Lastly, develop a personal relationship with God(meditating on the word of God, speak to Him and listening to Him also). It will help you not to go back to your old ways.
I'm HAPPY HELL HAS LOST A SOUL.
Don't ever report yourself to anybody. You're no longer the person that did all that because you're a new creature, old things has past away.
ReplyDeleteRemember Saul in the bible that persecuted Christians, when he met Christ and became Paul, he said in 2corinthain 7 vs 2, I wrong no man. Why did he say so? Because he is a new being in Christ.
Why are you holding on to sins God has forgiven and forgotten about?
Poster pls live your new life in Christ and enjoy all your redemptive benefits in Christ.
You owe no one anything or any confession.
Welcome to the family of God
I don't know why a lot of people are discouraging poster from the call of her own conscience. Only her knows what she experienced being so close to death and realizing that life is meaningless if not for God, and we only have time to make amends while on earth. For what profit do we have if we gain the world and lose our soul? We shall account for everything, God is merciful but just. I had such situation recently where I had to correct a lie, my conscience just didn't let me so I had to confess - God came through and I lost nothing.
ReplyDeletePoster I have no answers I must say, but young ones I tell you make your life decisions carefully. This world is not our home.
Apostle Paul didn't go about broadcasting his sins after he got saved, rather he threw himself into his new life and even had the most challenging ministry compared to other disciples, God made it so and had it recorded so nobody should feel as if their own is the worst.
DeletePoster, don't turn yourself in but let this be your driving force to do as much good as you can in every way you can henceforth. If you find yourself back in Nigeria surrounded by serious problems, you might even lose your salvation because of hardship.
Thank God for your life. Old things have passed away. Christ is the only friend that will stand by you no matter what. Welcome to his Fold dear.
ReplyDeleteThank god for your new life and for encountering God 🙏🙏🙏
ReplyDeleteyou owe no one any confession....
It's well dear poster
Listen to this song "changed by Geoffrey Golden"
ReplyDeleteOld things has passed away all things are new, you not same anymore and that's all that matters. Don't go back to your old ways, grow your faith by keeping the right circle and listening to things that will nourish your spirit, do more of good and charity to show you are indeed remorseful, restitute where you can and which won't land you in trouble and when satan comes to remind you of your past tell him "I didn't sin against you, I sinned against God and he has forgiven me. Therefore you can't guilt-trip me"
God bless you!
