PINKYS CORNER
It's so unfortunate that I didn't listen to my wife this morning and I am feeling guilty but all the same, I'm happy to be among the living.
I was to see a man at Ikoyi this morning by 6am as planned, called my wife to tell her i am about to leave because presently am in Lagos while she is at Ibadan. I called and she told me to pray or hold on so she can pray with me while on the line but I refused because I was so scared about the hold up. I left home without praying around 4:30am or thereabout.
I got to Obalende and needed to get a bike to take me to the first street after Ikoyi passport Office but there was non so I decided to trek down because I still have the route in my brain(note: I know Obalende like the back of my hand). on getting to Obalende Road I needed to make the journey easier and i passed a route that would get me to my destination faster...
Some guys came towards me which I noticed but I tend not to run because it's too early in order to avoid crossing that road because there were vehicles on high speed. They came towards me and the one behind me gave me a resounding slap. I had to struggle with them and fought them. I made sure nothing was taken away from me. I was beaten badly but they left me when a bus came closer and the conductor shouted 'Ole Ole Ole'. They left me injured but glory to God that they were not with weapons.
I regretted my actions because I couldn't even tell my wife what happened when she called to confirm if I had gotten there. To make matter worse, I missed the appointment because I wasn't having enough strength ,so I needed to wait at an area for a pharmacist to open up and tend to my wounds...
I didnt want to do another writeup on this but a blog visitor replied my comment this morning on spontaneous post asking if I prayed before leaving home and i was shocked. Am sure it will be a surprise for my wife to see this because I am so ashamed telling her what happened after being stubborn and refusing her to pray over the phone for me this morning when I called her.
I am good and better now though and have also learnt my lesson in an hard way.
The power of prayer!.... Sorry about your wounds but please dont send me such next time....... I cant eat until i can get that bloody photo off my minds eye....

INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD
A friend had a baby recently and seeing the tiny little angel took me down memory lane. After twenty hours of labour, my first arrived with massive cut. I was sown and cleaned up and handed a tiny wrapped bundle. I was so relieved from the whole labour pain and I was extremely exhausted but I was happy and grateful at the same time.
I started crying because it just suddenly dawned on me that I was now responsible for someone else. I vowed to do everything possible to give him the best I could, I felt this fierce love for him and at that moment he had my heart in his tiny hands.
I was so scared of sleeping all I wanted to do was watch him breathe. I tried to keep my eyes opened but exhaustion took over and I dozed off. Till a wail woke me up, it took my brain a while to realize that was my baby, when I did, I woke up with a start and lifted him up.
I was so scared of carrying him, he looked pinkish and frail. I was scared of hurting his tiny bones or umbilical cord . I summoned courage and placed him up to my breast like I was taught but nothing seemed to be flowing out.
The nurses took him from me and tried to feed him unsuccessfully because he kept on throwing up. I tried again few hours later and he placed his tiny mouth on my nipples and sucked hungrily.
My breast felt like, I was being pricked with a thousand needles at once. The pain was brain resetting and I almost cried.
After he finished suckling, I couldn’t remember all the things I had read and studied to prepare me for that moment.
When it was time to bath him, as I stripped him for his bath I started to cry, I suddenly felt overwhelmed and clueless, I was scared of touching his cord area. I summoned courage and handed him to the nurses who cleaned him up. He was handed over to me and I started another round of tears. The lady who was a second time mom noticed and encouraged me. It was when she called my name that I realized my hands were frozen mid air. She guided me through and I am forever grateful to her.
I had so much emotions running through my mind the first day and all I wanted was to see my mom. She came around hours later and it helped calm me down a tiny bit.
This was how my first day of motherhood began.
My first day of motherhood, I woke up from the injection induced sleep to hear a baby crying and I called the Nurses that a baby was crying and when she came, she said YOUR BABY.
I was confused cos my thoughts were not clear...
I could not get up until the next day and when my hubby changed diaper before he took two steps, we heard the baby soil the diaper again... He changed again and after twenty minutes he had to change it again..... I kept asking WHY IS HE SHITTING SO MUCH...... It was explained to me.
When we came home and time to bathe the child i cried and cried silent tears..... i could not carry him, he was too tiny and the water i mistakenly put too much olive oil....... motherhood is not easy....
Shout out all women!

NAZIRITES INK
The last time i was home to see my Father, he was so old and frail, I fought back real tears, it was overwhelming..
It brought me back to the days he was like a dynamite and would work tirelessly on his farm like his life depends on it, he refused to take care of his family, worked only for his mouth, he would say he doesn't need any child to care for him, he turned a blind eye to his fatherly responsibilities to us.
He was blessed with energy and strength quite alright, but he used his body too hard as a youth.. What you would have let your children handle, but because you did not want to be responsible.....
Right now, he still mentally sound no doubt but his body is super weak now, white hair on his head and skin. And he now depends on us for everything. One time we took a maid for him that later ran away, so he literally does everything by himself. Whenever he calls me to ask for cash, I wish I could remind him how nonchalant he was towards us while growing, wish I could taunt him about how old age have dealt him a big blow now... but I won't, I'll do my best, after all, "once a father, always a father".
Terrible Men, change your ways, be good to your wife and kids, you will need them at old age.
I hope someone reads this and changes his wicked ways towards his wife and kids!

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN CONCERNING HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
Stella,
Cut out all fatty foods
From red meat to butter, margarine.
No snacks or pastries
Please stop taking coffee, or any caffeinated drink. Caffeine elevates blood pressure.
Cut down on alcohol (very important)
Cut down on your sodium intake
Don't eat white bread
Replace beef with Fish, as fish contains Omega 3.
Eat lots of leafy greens
Include garlic and ginger to your foods as the help with your BP numbers.
Eat lots of vegetables, a plant based diet does alot of good for your BP
Embrace Bananas as they are high in Potassium. Also take Potatoes, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, Scent leaves, avocados and beetroots(read more about foods high in Potassium).
For exercise, you could work out for 30mins everyday or take walks that last at least an hour everyday, I prefer the latter(Exercise regularly).
Lose some weight, especially if you're overweight.
Lastly, Take lots of rest,
No thinking, no fighting, no quarrelling and no malice( but you're free to cut off anyone giving you headache).

Unto the Father of light, in whom there is variableness or shadow of turning, the immortal and invincible, the only wise God, our Help in ages past & our Hope for years to come, He that knows my end from my beginning, He that has never witheld any good thing from me or allow my expectations cut off, to you be all glory, honour, adoration, praise, power forever ever in Jesus name. Amen.
Whoever you are reading this, I encourage you to know God by yourself and for yourself. Study His Word (Josh 1:8), keep His precepts, pray and Trust Him as your life and well being depends on. God does not have any grandchildren but children. You don't need a human mediator to access God.

ReplyDeleteUna don start!
DeleteI thought I say "buy organic palmoil", I had to read twice to see its bv organic palm oil. So what's the difference between palm oil and organic palm oil?
ReplyDeleteBlackberry,
DeleteThe quality is the difference.
No addictives like colour to make it redder, or water to get more quantity. It is Pure😁
P.s I could gift you 1litre to try
Organic is the one mixed with vitamins, inorganic is the one direct from the tree to the mill and storage, no mixing.
Delete15.00 i think it's the reverse, organic is not mixed with anything and in some countries also means grown without fertilizers.
DeleteYes 15:43 is correct
DeleteOrganic means natural, pure
Thank you angel Koof for the Christmas giveaway, please let me be one of those to receive give away for me and my family.Thank you Mrs SDK.
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon
ReplyDeletePlease I have been battling with this nasty outbreak for some time now and it doesn't seem to go away
Genital warts,it just suddenly appeared in my vagina and I have tried all means to get rid of it still it isn't.
Anyone who have gone through this before or with experience please help me out. It is really weighing me down.please if you don't have any solution don't mock me please
Try Superlife Stc 30,it worked for my friend, it cleared and dried hers up, and since then, no more outbreak, she bought it for 25k last year, so hold better money when going in search of it.
DeleteAnonymous Please go to the hospital. Don't keep quiet I beg you
Delete14:21, pls what else does this superlife stc 30 cure? I have plenty illnesses disturbing me and my people 😭
DeleteDont try any stc.. Go to the hospital straight.. A govt. hospital or a very good private hospital, that thing is very very dangerous.
DeleteGo to a Chemist, ask for a drug called Virest, ask the pharmacy how much u need for a full dose. Maybe 2 cards. It would clear it. Repeat it after 3 months. Meanwhile, stop having unprotected sex with that person else u get reinfected.
DeleteGenital warts is sexually transmitted. Go to a teaching hospital and follow doctors advice
DeleteAnd above all, give your life to Jesus so that you will be able to stop sexual immorality . At least you can see that
whatever you think you have "gained" by being immoral has no comparison with the peace and health you lose and your eternal
life too.
Please go to the hospital. I could direct you to a doctor's page on Instagram but SDK won't post. Lol
DeleteAnd also have it in mind that the warts wont go away if you're still having sex with the same person that infected you.
I'm not sure if it has a lasting cure sha.
#Unapologetic Babe
Pls go to the hospital..
DeleteThe psychologist and lawyer in the library una well done o.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunny afternoon lovelies 💗😘💓💗💃💃💃

ReplyDeleteIt's not only men that need to change their ways in case of old age. Women need to too. Times have changed. Fathers used to die before mothers but things have changed that children even die before parents these days how much more mothers. Let every one amend their ways to avoid if I'd known.
We have read about dead beat mothers here. Mothers that abandoned their families to live the high way and life of social life, jewelry and clothes.
Old age these days does not follow old ways of doing things but rather throws different stuff to people. The healthy goes frail all of a sudden and the sickly lives years surviving his/partner.

ReplyDeleteGood afternoon, I'm 29yrs old and a man just walked into my office and said to me, Ah, you this fine girl! You never still marry? , He's not the first, most of our clients do the same to me, some ask me what happened, some assume I'm not praying enough, OH Lord! I'm tired of this life, help to overcome this marriage pressure and bring me a good man, because I'm a good girl, I haven't slept with any woman's husband, Thank you Jesus.
ReplyDeleteDon’t be pressured,God will give u ur own partner in his own time.remember God is never late.be still and know that he is God.
DeleteDo you know how many fine people, finer than you are that have died? how many fine people finer than you that are without an education? or on a sick bed battling for their lives? finer people than you are without a job?
DeleteThey are pressuring you indirectly do not take it as a compliment. That subtle pressure was just laced with a compliment to disguise so you won't get upset. Most of your client who has asked you this question why haven't they connected you with someone they feel will be good for you? don't they have single brothers, friends, relatives, neighbours. If they are that concerned what is holding them back from connected their loved ones with a fine girl like you?
There are thousands of beautiful ladies who are single with sterling character even on this blog. They will all get married last last but at their God-given time.
If it is not yet your time and if God did not say yes despite all your prayers, going out to be sociable and doing your best to be seen and approachable, it will not happen.
Do your part, hang out keep friends but at the end God is in charge of when it will happen. When you know this you will have peace of mind.
ladies need to stop thinking if they do not get married at a particular age it is over. You can get married at any age. Not everyone will get married in their 20s. Stop pressuring yourselves.
When I clocked 30 I stopped thinking about marriage after all I am alive so God still have me in mind. Anyone that tried to pressure me I put them in their place. I have been praying since I was eighteen and God is not deaf so what is it? am I God? It happened when God was ready and I surrendered to him.
If they want to compliment your God-given beauty they should focus on that alone and stop making any reference to the fact that you are still single. That sounds like a back-handed compliment if you ask me.
Don't allow anybody to pressure you or make you make wrong choices. If anyone says 'you this fine girl you never marry' respond with I never marry o abi e get person wey you wan arrange for me' joke about it while committing it to God in prayer and believing that 'it's taking time' because God is preparing the best for you
DeleteIgnore them dear. When it will happen, it will be like a movie. Just chilax!!!
Delete#Unapologetic Babe

DeleteU marry and invite them all to the wedding by God's grace
DeleteMy dear, be positive and don't let anyone pressured you to marry wrongly. God can and will do it in His time. He is still GOD.

DeleteGood afternoon everyone.
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon everyone. Pinky so sorry about the incident with those guys. It's well.
ReplyDeleteMy apologies for not posting on SP but wetin na, una too like gist
ReplyDeleteAnyways, we sha started preparing to travel, I had no idea I had missed my family and friends in Nigeria until there was hope that I was going home. If anyone had told me I would be visiting Nigeria less than two years after leaving, I would never have believed it.
Ok, let’s return to my husband that believes he doesn’t have a mumu button but I always get what I want from him . So I made a list of the foodstuff we needed from Nigeria and concluded that I’d need nothing less than N100000 for my shopping. E no even reach €200 oh. So I went to this my guy with the list and told him our foodstuff from Nigeria will cost about 120000 naira but that he should sha send 100000 and I will balance the rest (I no try)
Guyman looked dumbfounded and was like ahn ahn, shebi we agreed that u will take care of our expenses in Nigeria (yimu)
'Ahn ahn, Babe, do I look like I can afford 100k? Moreover we didn't agree to me spending my money on foodstuff oh, just expenses like uber and stuff. How will I buy foodstuff na, am I the head of the family ni'
My guy was dumbfounded and then he started laughing. 'My madam, oya I will send u the 100k, shey I can go back to work now'
'You know u are the best husband out there abi', I said
'You don marry before? How u wan take compare, abeg getat',
Na so I take commot with my 100k sha.
Then I called my mum and started asking her for prices of foodstuff in the market. I told her someone was coming to Portugal and she will be bringing those things back for me. The list was so long that my mum started wondering how someone agreed to carry all of that for me including the non food items that my SIL was getting for me. I then convinced her that I was paying for the extra luggage and stuff.
Then towards ending of October, my brother hinted me that my mum and dad were planning to travel to the village for her mother's one year remembrance as well as to do some projects in the village house. I panicked! Plan was about to be ruined because the surprise no go choke if they are in the village. But my mum wasn't even the issue sef because she hardly uses up to one week in the village before returning to Lagos but u see my dad ehn, once he steps foot in that village, it will take the grace of God to get him back to Lagos.
So I called my mum and asked her when she would be back so that she can dry some vegetables for me. She promised she wasn't staying long but my dad said he would only go back when he's done with the project! Mogbe! I told my dad that I don't like him being in the village bla bla bla. I don't want my mum complaining he's not eating well in the village and that he should jejely follow her back to Lagos. My younger bro too asked him to come home immediately but we knew it was a fruitless effort. I already knew that he would never be home for my 'grand homecoming '.
Contd
ReplyDeleteMy mum sha went back to Lagos without him and my father used IPOB sit at home as his reason for not coming back and after I found out it had been cancelled, he said he still had not finished the project. My younger brother told me not to bother anymore jare that I've tried my best and his regrets will be solely on him.
Let me fast forward pls!
So we came into Nigeria with very little drama at the airport. Just beggy beggy immigrations and one woman that asked that we settle or they would have to search our luggage. Our guy that was coming to pick us was not kuku there yet and we had time to kill so I told her to go ahead and search na. They searched and asked us to go. Our friend drove us to his home where we were going to be staying with his wife and him. I have never seen someone so excited to see Alex like he and his wife.
In the afternoon, we started out for Ikorodu. I didn't even bother with uber because those ones ehn, once they get to my area, they wil just start complaining about road like say na me be govt wey no do road. So we looked for those babas with very ugly card that had been in and out of worst roads on a regular basis. We negotiated and then we headed towards Ikorodu. At around past 3, I chatted up my Sis in law and asked if they were home and she said they were still in church. Ha! This people want to cut my surprise in half. This is because I needed the full package surprise in one. Mum, brother, sis in law, niece and nephew but no, these ones were still in church. So I kept chatting her up to know when they would close and insisted it was because I wanted to talk to my mum via whatsapp on her phone.
Eventually she called me but I cut and told her I would call back in like 10mins. They were already home then and I was about 10mins away from the house. I confirmed my mum was also home.
My house doesn't have a compound gate so when we drove close to the house, I could see my brother outside. As the car turned into our compound, I watched my brother's face keenly (he was the only one outside). He kept looking at the back seat to see who it was. Immediately he realised he was looking at me, his face changed to that of shock and then screams. My husband was already making a video at this point. Then my mum, sister in law, niece, nephew and my cousin ran out of the house and the screams started with everyone rushing to carry Alex (dem almost put fear for the girl body). The hugs, the shouts also attracted our neighbour that I was quite close to and they were all in shock. After all the screaming, my mum called my dad and informed him that my husband and I were around. The first thing my dad asked with worry in his voice was 'Nsogbu a duvo kwe' (this in my dialect means hope there is no trouble) took me a while to convince him that we were here for a wedding and no, we have not been deported.
I then called my sis who lives somewhere in Ikeja. I was holding Alex on the video call and asked my niece and nephew to be in the call. She picked the call absentmindedly until she registered that I was calling from Nigeria!
The only thing that came out of her mouth was 'What!'
'I am coming to Ikorodu now, don't go anywhere' and she hung up
I will not lie, I pull surprises a lot but this is the biggest one I have ever pulled and e choke oh, e choke.
I have a video of the reaction but I will not post sha. E local die!
It's been so much fun with my family and the only thing almost making me regret coming is the heat! Friends have been dragging me here and there for when they will get to see me and mehn, I don't know if the short time I am spending here is even enough to see all.
Thank you all for the love. I will drop my 'golden pen' here. Doxology
P.S my disguised anon lover, na me pay driver wey carry us go ikorodu. I try ba? 😋
Wow
DeleteYou pulled up a great stunts

ReplyDeleteIs it that those of us that did cs won't feel that breastfeeding first pain? Cos i didn't feel any pain o... Just the normal pain of a full breast.
Holla Boo 😘❤️
DeleteCongratulations Ulochi 🎉🎊 God bless the givers🙏🙏
That breastfeeding pain is something else o,I end up having sour nipples for 3 weeks.
DeleteParis 😘
DeleteMs Tee hah! Is it that serious? I always can't relate when people start talking about this pain
They experience it too @Fidel. The womb shrinking back to default size plus the sore nipples as baby sucked, my sister almost died of pains, the above two pains added with CS cut pains. I cried with her.
DeleteMs Tee kpele sometimes it is when you don't latch well like ensure the areola is in your baby's mouth not just the nipple only...
DeleteFidel I believe you latched your baby well
But Stella, u do favour bv esaah naa and some other bvs too. How else can I see some calling others names even as bad as 'idiot' but no reply. Me, I have learnt to kuku breathe when insulted cos I know I won't see my acidic reply.
ReplyDeleteNazarite, pls try be reminding ur Dad small naa, else he will think he's won and had it all.
Bv Pinky, am so sorry dear. I hope it's not a set up, cos u seem to be having some unfortunate incidences of late, shebi it was u that robbers attacked some while back? And u have a stalker in house? May God see you through.

Blessed day to everyone.
Pinky, sometimes people pray and they still die. Bad things happen to good people too. The bible called it unforeseen occurrences. But let's be thankful for your life. Always pray but... Remember.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't go fighting with people that already do not value their lives. You have something to live for.

ReplyDeleteSanta please remember me😥
ReplyDeletePinky why sending such pics to SDK? So you can milk out of the condition because SDK is soft hearted abi. Kontinue
ReplyDeleteNa so now, they like to take SDK for a fool, cos if not I don't understand the purpose of sending bloodied pictures to someone unsolicited.

DeletePinky sorry for what you passed through. Once again , avoid certain areas at dawn and late night, also, don't fight with thieves, they do have knives, iron rods and other weapons hidden in their bodies.
ReplyDeleteBv from yesterday's IHN, Ulochi, I'm happy for you, Angels abound here. God bless him or her.
Motherhood poster, we all watched over our tiny mini when they slept in the first few days after delivery monitoring how their chest is moving as they breathe 🤣
The pains when they suck breasts no be here, your tummy will feel as if they are twisting your intestines. Nurses say it is the womb shrinking.
MayGod keep all our children alive and well.
Amen
DeleteAmen!!!
DeleteCongrats Ulochi, thank God for sending you help,God bless the helper. It's a hot, sunny afternoon, lost count of how many bottles of water I've drank this hot afternoon and I'm still thirsty, maybe some icecream should do the trick😅,shout out to all mums,we are the real MVP'S💪💪

Goodevening everyone.. A big congrats to Bv Ulochi
ReplyDelete15th was my birthday and all those who promised me gift ehn, I didn't see, at least, not until now... But on Sunday after service,I don't know the spirit that entered me, I just started to ransack the house picked out many items (both food and materials) and I gave them away. In fact, never felt so fulfilled, I just concluded that sometimes, its more blessed to give than to receive.
ReplyDeleteBv Ulochi,I'm so happy for you ooo
ReplyDeleteEka joy I smiled all through your write up, e really choke, enjoy your stay
