Undergraduate Whose Legs Were Cut Off After Birth Says People Are Ashamed Of Her And Treat Her Differently And It Hurts Her..

Ms Chinwetalu Charity is twenty-four years old and an Accounting student at Enugu state University....

She told BBC Pidgin ....

"Most of the challenges I face is men, they don't like me, they are only pretending, they don't like to bring me out they will keep me inside which hurts me, they feel ashamed when they are around me. I believe I'm an asset any man that finds me finds a wife.

''A guy once told me that anything we walk together I use to walk like a child and what he said pained me because I'm a human being so for that reason I have decided that I don't need any man as they are all ashamed of me let me stay on my own I don't need anyone to look down on me or make me feel less human'

My name is Chinwetalu Charity I'm twenty-four year old. I'm studying accountancy at Enugu state University.

I was not born like this, my mum told me that after I was born I had no veins in my legs so the legs started rottening. She took me to different hospitals and the doctor advised that she cut off my legs if not i would die, that was why she cut off my legs. I have been smart and okay since my legs were cut off.

As I have no legs I wear palm slippers, which is also my heels and canvas when I buy a palm, I will cut it then tied rope inside. I don't feel bad when I see people wearing heels or canvas because I have my own also we are all one.

I started doing tiktok videos because I was lonely, I'm a creative person who has alot of creative ideas to showcase. I want to change people so they can stop looking down at people with disabilities, I want them to see us as one nothing happened to us it's just a challenge. That's my reason for doing tiktok videos.

They don't invite me to some functions at my school , they feel I'm not a human being so sometimes I feel angry or tired about going. People are treating me with pity and I don't like pity, I can do everything others are doing there's nothing wrong with me they don't allow me to express myself and I don't like it.

Despite my challenges I have made real friends they don't look at my condition they stand by me. if I do wrong they will caution me if I do right they will hail me. They take me as their own so we flow, sometimes they will come to my house to call me let's go out and I will dress up and follow them. They are ones making me feeling like a human being."

  12. someone who knows her should tell her to go & do water baptism by immersion.jesus heals sicknesses, diseases etc al first before miracles.anyone in this category should do so.there are 2 types of water baptism by immersion which are important to any believer:1 the baptism done in a river.this type brings you or connects you to the physical world.this is where God mainly operates.2 baptism in a pool inside the church.this admits your spirit and/or soul into the church and to God.this one makes you fully a born again Christian.

these two types of baptisms are important and very different.it's good to do both.if you have only done one,(if it is the river baptism),you are a partial Christian.but if you have done only the pool baptism(inside the church, not in a hotel)then you are a full Christian.there are 2 types of blessings connected to these types of water baptisms.
the river baptism connects you to the blessings in the world only;God created the world and blessed it.The 2nd baptism connects you to the blessings in the church only.but if you do both baptisms, you will be connected to both types of blessings and will spend less time in praying ceaselessly!...

I have done both types of baptisms and I urge you all to do so.i just wanted to share this here!..shalom.

    stella pls post this.

  18. I felt like crying, she must be feeling so bad how the opposite sex treats her,it ain't easy.Sitting and seeing your friends hang out with their boo and none approaching you,but I believe, when the right comes, the lord will give her own partner. It is well with your soul, just hold on to the Lord. Its so easy to say,her confidence is everything but the truth is the emotional trauma will always be there, hmm, but I love her self esteem nevertheless.
People should do well with people who are physically different, they're humans too.Her write up made my heart bleed. This shows what most physically different people goes through, most times they're alone, all by themselves....nawa o

    1. She is a fine lady. Maybe one day she will get to know that some men treat women without physical challenges the same way and some women are not half as confident as she is. I have seen a woman of recent online who has does not have both sets of limbs, yet just got married to a man without physical challenges who appears to be very proud of her and her achievements. By God's grace her partner will locate her.

  19. Her determination and fight for her life is admirable.

Most ppl in this world look down on the disabled. Developers and urban planners do not think about accessibility, they just design for the able bodied as though they are the only ones in the world. Look how many able bodied ppl become disabled through the course of their life. We must do more to build accessible cities and towns. Everyone benefits
