    'An enemy has done this!' Matthew 13:28 NLT

    'Here is another story Jesus told: "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a farmer who planted good seed in his field. But that night as the workers slept, his enemy came and planted weeds among the wheat, then slipped away. When the crop began to grow and produce grain, the weeds also grew. The farmer's workers went to him and said, "Sir, the field where you planted that good seed is full of weeds!"..."An enemy has done this!" the farmer exclaimed. "Should we pull out the weeds?" they asked. "No," he replied, "you'll uproot the wheat if you do. Let both grow together until the harvest. Then I will tell the harvesters to sort out the weeds"' (Matthew 13:24-30 NLT).
    There are two important lessons here. (1) You must know God's Word well so that error, regardless of how convincingly it's presented, can't mislead you. Paul warned the leaders of the church at Ephesus: 'Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. So be on your guard' (Acts 20:30-31 NIV)! (2) You must stay spiritually awake and alert. Notice, the seeds that were sown that night didn't produce a harvest of weeds until later. And at that point they could not be uprooted. Perhaps you think this is no big deal. Think again! One degree off course may seem harmless enough. But if you stay on that trajectory long enough, spiritually speaking, you will end up far from where God wants you to be and realise 'an enemy has done this!'
    So what is the answer? 'They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching...to fellowship...the breaking of bread and...prayer' (Acts 2:42 NIV).

The manner people die because of snake bite in a 21st century calls for concern. Everybody does the opposite of what they should do. Impunity reigns everywhere. That's the major ailment Nigeria suffers from- impunity. People do whatever they want because they know deep down they can always escape with it. Nobody demands for accountability. We practically live just a little above animals. You see an adult who claims to have sense beating traffic lights. You ask yourself if an animal would do better. There's this desperate ambition by the average Nigerian to do things in the reverse. With him, common sense doesn't prevail. He only derives deluding satisfaction from acting like an animal. You go to government offices and see people sleeping or gisting. They ignore your presence until they're satisfied with the gist. There's nobody to report their malfeasance to because their oga is probably fucking them or planning to. He ignores your complaints. You're frustrated. You're tempted to ask God what he was thinking when he made you a Nigerian.
    This woman's death is so painful. She is a woman, so you can imagine what part of her body the filthy animal struck at. Chai! Somebody's child. Somebody's mother.
    Nigeria will fail you. She must fail you to be happy.

      Same thing I was saying the other day. Nigeria keeps coming with various ways daily to embarrass, frustrate and try every means to make ones life difficult no matter how much efforts you put in..
      I still don't understand this fuel scarcity in Abuja.. around 8-9pm mid last week, I bought black market fuel from a filling station, no not from this guys that sell from kegs, from the filling station, from their pump, sold 250 per litre, they actually said they didn't have fuel, then I just cornered of of the security I met there and told him my fuel tank is empty and o can't go anywhere, he reasoned with one of their staff and that one sold to me at black market price..
      Everything about the country just dey up side down, the country no fit OG like me at all.. let's not even talk about how much it cost to feed now.. Asin common food weh man go chop.. mtcheew

    Good morning  beautiful  people, so I'm always late to all the  blog stories but I always find time to go over posts that I find interesting. This past weekend had so many interesting  posts but the one that stood out for me was the Labour and motherhood post. It was quiet emotional for me any my heart went out to all the amazing mothers who had to endure great sacrifices to birth "Life". May God give us a million  reasons  to rejoice over our  kids. Not also forgetting  the BV with vaginal prolapse whose story was posted few weeks ago, ure always in my prayers. Trust you're  getting the help you need. To my blog namesake "Duchess  don't worry you shall smile once again. To all moms who at one point suffered preclampsia  like myself ( mine is twice in a roll now). You women are great survivors  with wonderful  testimonies. @ Fidel is our admin in this group
    I hope to share mine in details  one day when I'm emotionally ready.

    Please I need help. I noticed a week to my menses and a week after, I get so moody, like I just want to die and just leave this earth, no excitement towards anything, I don't feel like doing anything, just staying idle and wallow in deep pains, I always feel so depressed and no matter how I try, nothing excite me or takes me out of this mood. It scare me a lot and makes me cry a lot and surround myself with negativities

    I'm always a happy person, positive, laugh and play alot, have this mind set that everything will be beautiful at any second, loveable and so happy right inside. And this my mood only returns few weeks after my menses, and it scaring me a lot. Please any advise?

    My son was diagnosed with celebral palsy two weeks ago and they suspect he had asphyxia at birth cos of doctor's carelessness,I was unconscious so I can't really tell what happened,but the doctor keeps insisting nothing of such happened,he was booked for cranial MRI,his paed said it'll reveal if it happened or not,I had to travel to another state to have it done yesterday and he had a very bad reaction to the anaesthesia, we'll get the results today,went through a lot of stress and spent a lot of money,I'm here won8,if results reveal he actually had it and this evil doctor didn't tell us anything and he now has a condition that could have been avoided cos of this,what will be my next line of action??

      Don't be sorry about your rant, it's a worthy rant.
      If you can, take up the case if the mistake was from the doctor. There's this nonchalant attitude medical personnel treat patients with these days. I want to say it's disdain but it will make it sound like it wasn't passion that made them go into the field in the first place.

      Last year, I witnessed an avoidable death with a guy I shared one of the emergency room with. They knew it was avoidable and were hush hush about it...

      The Lord will strengthen you and see you through it all.

    The man that supplies my neighbor meat came yesterday and after cutting the meat for her, he just lied down on the bare floor and slept off. He slept for hours, I was scared because he did not seem to be breathing, I called my neighbor's maid to come outside and check on their customer, we tried waking him up to no avail, we had to go call on other people and they poured water on him before he woke up. They took him to the hospital.
    Long story cut short, he is owing those supplying him cow, he had not eaten since morning before coming to our street as at 2:pm and has been having sleepless nights and too much thinking. I feel for my fellow Nigerian hustlers. In all,we thank God for life.

      God still has plans for his life that is why you noticed him, this is how some people die in their sleep. The country is hard,many people are passing through serious hardship but you see some of these meat sellers in the south west state where I have lived, they don't pity themselves. Some of them marry up to three wives with baby mamas and mistresses here and there.

    After going through BEP last night, I came across a category I belong.
    That category is making noise or rather say sounds when chewing food.
    Note, I don't open my mouth to chew food, I close my mouth when chewing but I hear the sound of my chewing the food from my ear and I thought it was normal for everyone to hear the sound of their chewing without others hearing it until my ex friend complained of it and my niece too complain it.
    I'm a decent eater but this sound or noise is making me uncomfortable to eat in public.
    Be it biscuits or whatever I'm chewing, I hear the noise or sound.
    Please, how do people chew without it making this sound or noise?
    I chew slowly with mouth closed but it always sounds out.
    Is it a medical or mental condition?
    How do I overcome it!

    Not only changing of IDs plenty times like abutata, they are beginning to deny their IDs.
    An anon was on bv Osundi yest she was denying herself.

    We have been having accommodation problem since we married,u hardly gets good accommodation,u see good once in a shabby location,u see some and landlord will say u are not a Muslim,some are so small..
    I have been begging hubby to build even if it a small one but he refused, he's excuse is that we are in far north, Nigeria is this and that,bla bla ok o...
    In 2019,I hard an opportunity where I was working then,one Alhaji was selling his half plot of land,indigens hardly buy half plot say it's won't be enough for them,so I bought, since it's my line of expert,very cheap without hubby's knowledge...
    I started a side hustle and was also working,so I started the project gradually with a help of a contractor who is church member and we kept it btw us...my plans was,I will make hubby rent the apartment after completion,make some money off the property before telling him..
    Now,I'm broke,like things are so expensive now and the project is now abandoned,I have built it,roof it,even gate o..
    I'm thinking should I just tell hubby so he will complete it and we just move in?how will he feels? will he ever trust me again?how will I get my money back?I really didn't think it's will be this difficult to tell,note that half of the money for the project is his, cause I have access to his money..he has been asking what Im using money for lately,why I'm complaining to be broke..I need ur opinions here..help
