Monday In House News...

 November hailings eeeh....

IN HOUSE MEMO

The face you make (up there) when you dont know if November will behave like October.....

So far so good huh?

May you not wake up to see yourself as breaking news and if you do , make God give you skin tough like leather to weather the storm it brings...

Enjoy the day and remember to keep the environment friendly where ever you are....

Tight hugs...

NAZIRITES INK

All my siblings look up to me for advice and decision making, including the older ones, meanwhile i am second to last of 5 girls... This could be because I am usually blunt with my feelings and can be vocal.

There have been sensitive issues that requires the input of only an adult, especially the older ones but they will seek my approval first and will not make a move till I have consented.

My Mom did not make that any easier, she believed i am the male child among her 5 daughters, the reason for her assumptions are unclear till date. She parted with sensitive issues and secrets with me alone .... For instance, when we were preparing for her burial, I was the only one she gave her burial instructions forehand.

One of our uncle's tried to usurp one of her properties, I was the only one bold enough to challenge him, I remember him saying i am not in a position to ask him since I have older ones who should, clearly, he said that because of my audacity. Unfortunately, my older siblings were not bold enough to demand for our collective right. They think because we are all women, its okay to be feeble and get cheated on.. Hmmm... Story for another day.

As interesting as it is to be significant among your siblings, it is also sometimes overwhelming. They are not aware of that. My siblings don't understand I can't be there all the time, that i am sometimes scared too to take decisions for everyone, or give them advice about their lives, what if it backfires or puts everyone in danger? what if it hurts me, worsen things or even destroys...

So far, no bad luck, and I thank God... However, candidly, putting me in that position is mostly scary.

I can imagine your fears!

A STORY TO ENCOURAGE SOMEONE - FINAL PART

.All thanks to God and my neighbor turned sis that I was able to come out of that depressing mood, we talked, shared the Word and prayed together.

I was like even when we were unable to fully afford 3 square meals I didn't break down. I wanted to be strong for my husband, and I stood strong.
But now that things are better at least my husband is earning for the family I broke down completely .

I realized at that point l lost the zeal for prayer.

One of the steps I took that helped me out of that depressing mood was talking to someone. All thanks to God and my neighbor turned sis whom I talked to, shared the Word and prayed together.

I started thanking God in prayers.

Every day, both morning and night counting the things I am grateful for .
I have a verse of the Bible that helped
Phiplians4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

And gradually the peace of the Lord came to me
I realise that I am precious
That I am not a failure
I started asking GOD for directions

Do I have everything I desire now? CAPITAL NO!!
Like a Job or MONEY
Infact for months nobody has been saying hi to all my adverts.

But I have peace...
I have a loving family
So daily I count my blessings and thank God for it.

PLEASE LADIES IT IS IMPORTANT WE ALL STRIVE TO BE FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT,TAKE IT FROM A WOMAN THAT HAS TASTED BOTH SIDES OF BEING DEPENDENT AND INDEPENDENT.
PLEASE THE LATTER IS THE BEST BIKO

THE END...

Thanks for sharing your story...

GOOD HOSPITAL NEEDED

Good afternoon Stella and Bv's ..

Please mothers and medical doctors come to my aid. I am 38, pregnant and I have multiple fibroids.

I went for ante natal when I was 6 weeks, I was given vitamin c, calcium, folic acid, multivitamin and Bco to be taken everyday by a nurse. I took it in the morning next day, I had a serious pain below my abdomen, I thought maybe it was a coincidence, then I took it in the afternoon again, that night I couldn't sleep due to pain.

So I left the drugs with the intention to see the doctor in my next ante natal visit. On my next visit I complained to the doctor about the drugs, after scanning me he said the pain is due to the fibroids, he gave me paracetamol and ibuprofen to be taken along with the ante natal drugs I listed above. Are these drugs not too much for a pregnancy of 11weeks? I am scared of taking them but I have been taking folic acid before and after I conceived.

If anyone knows any good hospital with good gynecologist in Awka, please drop the address, I am new here. I want to change hospital ASAP. Thanks

Please recommend a good hospital if you are in Awka and know any...Thanks.

The drugs are not too much for an 11weeks pregnancy. You have fibriod and the pain is not beans but if you're scared I'll advise you skip the ibuprofen and take just paracetamol. The other drugs are multivitamins and your baby needs them.

The only thing another hospital will do for you is to recommend one prenatal vitamin that has all the above drugs in it.

Be calm and brace up for the pains the fibriod will bring ahead.

      You will be fine

    2. Nazrite, I feel you. Mine was so worse that my family refused I won't marry because they will lose their family adviser. I later left for marriage with strong head. Today some don't speak to me because of that. They said leaving to attend to my life cost them important things. Tell me how it's my fault. The burden is so huge. Meanwhile I have my own fears and stress I deal with that nobody asks me how far. You are always expected to be perfect and others can do as they wish. Meanwhile they don't appreciate and see it like a duty you owe everyone for life. I feel happy helping them; but they overburden me sometimes and end up coming off as wicked like that marriage issue.

    4. One pattern I prefer (it has different methods)
Steam your meat with little or no water(no water preferably).
Wash your fish and set aside

In another pot, pour your palm oil and heat for a few minutes. Don't over heat.(use enough palm oil for this soup)
After heating, add your sliced onions, your blended fresh pepper and stir for a minute or 2.
Add your blended crayfish. And your meat, plus the fish.
Cook for some minutes. Add your Maggi stock.(I use 2 most times)
Add salt. Cook for a few minutes

      Time to add the veggies.
If you're using waterleaf, add it first(after washing it thoroughly to remove most of the water inside the leaf)
Leave to cook for a minute or 2.
Add any other veggies after. Cook for a few minutes
Taste(in case you need to add small salt or not). Cook for some time. Finish.

If you're using isam(shelled periwinkle), you can add them when you're adding the pepper and crayfish. Wash it well o

This is how I make mine most times.

  8. Congratulations on your pregnancy. I can relate to the fibroids with pregnancy ish. As you are nourishing the baby in your womb, fibroids will be nourished too and they will start growing bigger and getting more active, giving you serious pains.
    God will see you through.

  28. Pregnant but wit fibroids...I had exact same issue. One thing is that the pains can induce a miscarriage. Meanwhile, that pain is as a result of the fibroid degenerating, u can Google it. It's as a result of the baby growing bigger and killing off the fibroids. I had same tots of avoiding medication but when the pain bin wan kee me, I took injections join sef. So that pain is a good sign,ok. I took pain relieving inj and went on to have a rather painless delivery bcos the dying fibroids cushioned the labour pangs. As for hospital, General Hospital is it. I wish u well dear.
