ReplyDeletePossessions can also be made idols. You have people who are so obsessed with their possessions to the point that they get their sense of identity and self-worth from their possessions instead from Christ. Such people are guilty of idolatry and need to repent.
Another form of idolatry is found within the church where believers idolize their pastors and church leaders so much that they treat them like gods. Don’t you know that we’re shouldn’t worship anyone else besides God? We can’t even worship angels because they’re just messengers of God.
People who worship their pastors are guilty of idolatry and need to repent.
Another form of idolatry that’s taken over the world is the worshiping of celebrities. Most people loose their minds and go bananas when they see celebrities. They put put their hands up ���� in the air and scream their lungs out while others faint in the mere presence of their favorite celebrities. The only one whom you should be raising your arms in worship for is Jesus.
Those who scream for celebrities and who are in love with celebrities are guilty of idolatry and need to repent.
Another sin that is slowly taking over the world is the worshiping of the universe. Why worship the creation instead of worshiping the Creator?
All those who speak about; “putting energies into the universe”, about “the law of attraction”; about “manifesting”, and about “affirmation” are all guilty of idolatry because they have made the universe and themselves their own gods, they need to repent.
The oldest form of idolatry which still exists today is the worshiping of statues and the worshiping of the ancestors.
Anyone who does these these things is guilty of idolatry and needs to repent.
Repent for the kingdom of heaven is near!
