    1. Both single parent and single mother is wrong. It’s a mother and a father. Stop with the derogatory comments.

    2. So what shd ppl call them then?

The issue is that if a single mother is already feeling small about herself, then anything society calls her will stress her.

  4. Shan, the case you should be making for "single mothers," is a "brief case." Tell the girls to close their legs and their greed from sweet talking men and from what their eyes see instead of good characters. Once a dude is "loaded," girls will be spreading legs wide open like moto park gates.

    1. I hope you know there are widows, divorcΓ©es as a result of domestic violence. Not all spreads their legs for men. It’s amazing the women are more shamed than the men who are singles too. Let’s be kind to one another cos God is kind.

Tell the dudes and ladies to abstain. Besides, the ladies put themselves up to it, except the person was raped.

  6. When they're young they boast, I won't marry, marriage is over rated, I have my didldos I don't need a husband. Being a single mother is the Koko, born kids for three different men,one will pay house rent, one will pay school fees the other will pay for vacation bills.
Old age takes over, story wan change.

  7. That word sounds like slang that refers to women that carry the responsibility of both mama and papa.

  8. A single mother is a term used to describe a mother who does not have a husband or a husband according to Merriam-Webstar dictionary.

Why complicate something that has such a simple meaning? πŸ€”

    1. The Nigerian connotation and stigma perhaps?

  9. I have traveled far and wide and its only in Nigeria that they attach a stigma to a woman because she is not married or has kid/kids. Forgetting that a lot of factors can make a woman become a single mother. We are just way too judgemental.. meanwhile some women will be married and still be all over the place as if they are single but because they are married, will badmouth a single woman...very hypocritical people..tueh

  10. There are "single fathers" as well. The term is just not often used because children born to unmarried couples (that are also not living together) are typically raised by their mothers. Where they are raised by their fathers, he would be described as a single father. This "wokeness" that madam is trying to provoke is unnecessary.
