Delete21:32, that statement is all shades of wrong. What evidence do you have to support the belief that her youthfulness is because she is mixed? Aren't there blacks who look young for their age? Perhaps the reason she looks young for her age IS the African blood in her and that she takes care of herself. As the saying goes in these parts, black don't crack. We need to stop making these statements that put black and African below white or lend credence to the idea that beauty for black people is only good or normal when Caucasian blood is mixed into it.

ReplyDeleteThere's something that's bothering me these days, once a woman is not yet married, her family and ppl around see her as a waste, that she's to be hidden or not even seen or talked about. They think she's not happy or should not be happy.
Why is that so? From personal experience and my friends.
See her as waste? That can only happen if she still goes to them to beg for this and that. For now, I am the only unmarried female in my immediate family and I am far better than the rest of my siblings (not trying to boast). My mother adores me so much ehn, though i know it is because of the money.
