TEEJAYS CORNER
MY TRAVELING EXPERIENCE

Growing up as a child, I loved traveling and I always looked forward to one during festive periods. As I grew older, I got to find out I am suffering from motion sickness. I thought with time I would outgrow it but I was wrong. This made me hate traveling, especially going a distance unless I go by air.

Recently, I traveled but I didn't find it easy and funny. Bad enough, I was sitting in between two other passengers and not close to the window. One thing I discovered that often triggers it , is whenever I tried browsing my phone or reading a book inside a moving vehicle. Once I do that, my eyes starts turning me and and before I say jack, I’m almost throwing up. Though it was just once I've ever thrown up when I was in my first year at school, traveling from Enugu to Delta State.

I was traveling last weekend, my manager called me concerning an important issue.....business related. Immediately I had to go online and get connected to my office and linked him up along side other persons. Just few minutes into browsing and communicating with them, I started feeling uncomfortable. "Oh Lord not again." I said to myself. I hurriedly ended the communication after dropping a short message to my manager that I will be back shortly which I never did.

Immediately I did that, the pressure became so heavy on me to throw up and I began to pray in my heart silently., "Oh Lord, don't put me to shame. Don't let this happen to me. Save me from this" At that point, I started swallowing saliva to ease the pressure while my lips were tightened.

The lady sitting next to me understood what was going on and asked if everything was okay with me. I couldn't answer cos of fear of throwing up but nodded in the affirmative.

After a while, it stopped and I felt relieved. Few minutes later, the lady and I started talking. We talked on diverse aspects of life and things happening in the society and I enjoyed every bit of our discussion.

I struggled within me on how to ask for her number but I didn’t even know how to go about it. A part of me kept saying, what do you really need that for? A stranger you may not even see again. What if she's married? I stylishly looked at her fingers and found no wedding band.

Each time I brought myself to ask for it, my countenance changed....feeling shy maybe. I sensed she had read my mind and understood what I was trying to do all along. Then came the shocker. She took my phone from my hands, typed her number and handed it back to me and said, "I know you want this, now you have it." What sort of a woman is this? I smiled and I told her that I was going to ask for it eventually but thanked her anyway cos she saved me the stress and she smiled.

Finally, she alighted before me when she got to her destination. She smiled and wished me safe journey as I progressed further.

So have you called her? *wink*

A STORY TO ENCOURAGE SOMEONE

This story is written to encourage young women and wives going through the same or a similar situation.

Shortly after we got married I got
pregnant I think a week after or so. Mhen!! the first week of my pregnancy was hard and stressful, I had to write a letter of transfer to a branch closer to our house but the letter was rejected.

That was how I didn't have any other option than to resign because the long distance was already taking a toil on me.

Exactly 9months after we got married I gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, my husband and I were overwhelmed with joy. We had a not to elaborate naming ceremony.

Three months after, the devil came with his ugly face, on this particular day my husband came back from work looking unhappy and dejected, I can vividly remember I was just rounding up with my baby's evening bathe. My husband lost his Job of 7years  .

My HUSBAND WAS FRAMED even though the boss believed him ,he was used as the scape goat to keep the company's contract going.

HAA!!!

My father's people finally caught up with me, ha!! "People will say wife with bad luck''
I cried so much not so much because we just lost our source of income but more because of the tag people will give me.

"Wife with the bad leg"

To our utmost surprise ,my husband's boss paid him half of his salary for 6 months. This and a little of our savings kept us going while my husband kept job hunting.

In all of this we didn't inform either of our parents and my husband out of the little we had we still sent monthly upkeep to our parents.

I on the other hand also started drop shipping from which I essentially used to be able to gather small money to buy clothes for my son . I got two major customers from this blog but unfortunately lost their contact when I had to give up my iPhone 5 then to my husband to start his Uber business because they said according to Uber regulations he can only run the app with an iPhone and he recently lost his own phone..

That was how my little drop shipping business I was building was paused oo

Something however, happened when my baby boy clocked 10months... I took in again . What !!how did this happen, myself and my husband already agreed no more child until we are financially stable again.

There was nothing I didn't ask God to do, there was a time I told God to take the baby and give to those who are looking for baby that I'm not ready for now.

Honestly I cried out my lungs, like where will I get money for operation !!! I gave to my first baby through C's and took in 10months after ,there is no where in the world they would allow me to push the baby myself.

My husband started the Uber business with his car and he was bringing small money home, me I don't know where all the so called uber drivers were making the thousands ooo. Although he was using Honda which consumes lots of fuel and Kai some women and young ladies are to be feared oo.

You won't believe that the people that ran away with his money while doing this business were women and young girls.

They will promise to forward to send the money or even said they have transferred it but na lie

On a particular day, that there was absolutely nothing at home because his car got spoilt, I picked my husband's phone, took the number of one of the girls he told me refused to transfer her fare after she promised she would.

One unilag girl oo ,this girl was just saying all sorts and blatantly denied because I told her the time and the place she was picked and dropped. I just told her she will definitely reap the fruit of her act.
I was really angry like HOW can people be this mean!!!

To be continued.......

This story will hopefully not take too long...

NAZIRITES INK

Reminds me of the first time I went to the market, I was going to get myself a bra.. My first bra, Teen years you know... Excited as I was, I was also skeptical about it.

I had imagined in my head I'll be so swallowed by the marmount crowd and I'd lose my older sister, that somehow she will get home before me if she doesn't find me so I insisted we split the transport fare before leaving home.

New experience, great excitement.

I was looking through the wind glass the whole trip, it was a Sunday.... chicken sellers everywhere, .... The road was full, wares displayed left, right and centre..

Noises and blaring, horns and CD blasting.. We alighted and I tightly held my sister's hand, she asked if she would disappear if I let go, I kept sneezing non stop, market women cursing on top of their voices to anyone who dares to price without buying..

We were still trying to navigate amidst the crowd when I felt a strong hand pulled me, "Customer come now", I look to the side and it was a fair looking average height Igbo guy selling undies, So I yielded. I told him I needed a bra and before I could say Jack, he picked one up and held it firmly to my budding breast, never have I felt so embarrassed in my life...

I had an impulse to knock him off and I didn't realize when I yanked the bra off his hands and started to beat his head with it.... Trying every possible way to dodge me, he kept screaming, yeh! yeh! yeh, yeh!!!!

Everyone was laughing but I must have unleashed my wrath for a few seconds, I gave the loudest hiss ever and left the bra hanging on his head while I swiftly dragged my sister away from the scene. I mean...., who does that?? Oshisco!

I cant stand bras abeg...its like a prison for breasts....LOL

I just saw something on the Internet that pertains to some Cross of BBN and i am all time worried for the future generation(s)..How can a guy like him post a nude video of him taking his bath for clout? It doesn't make any brain at all and i am highly disappointed in this our generation truth be told..To what end?

  8. A Woman – Who is She?

An extraordinary person with a story to tell, on a journey and a mission only she can fulfil. She’s empowered, enlightened, enterprising. A woman will not be denied. She deserves her success. And accepts her accomplishments with pride. She’s entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, energetic.

A woman is all about sharing. She connects. She collaborates. She gives back. A woman is exceptional, setting the pace. She encourages. She embraces. And shares from her heart place. A woman is confident and proud. Endearing, re-known.

To be a woman is to acknowledge yourself. To know deep within your power, your worth.

A woman sets the standard of excellence in all that she is. She’s an extraordinary person with a story to tell, on a journey and a mission only she can fulfil. She’s a “Universal Woman” Uniquely her. A gift – a treasure – a person who endures.

A woman –Who is she? She is ever evolving. The mother of you and me.... copied

I provide basically 95% of things in my home. My husband works but he isn't paid much. I work at home because my business is online. My husband appreciates my efforts but sometimes the male ego comes and he ll start acting up saying that am being rude (sincerely am not) because I make more money from him. I pray daily for God to give my hus6 a better job so I can have peace at home. The worst is that his family and people around think am a liability as am not working ( because they dont know about my remote job). Some advice I should get a job to relieve my husband from all the duties he is carrying. My husband being the proud man will not even tell them am the one shouldering all the responsibilities. This is making me so angry

  33. My own motion sickness eeehhh;I cant even do anything on my phone..

I have to sit at the front seat for enough ventilation and for any reason I cant be caught sitting after the first row in a public transport(and it must be window side)..

I must eat before any journey, then pack enough mint in my mouth;anything Menthol...

If I mistakenly cross a sign-post or fine edifice and turn to look at it while the vehicle is moving;I will feel very dizzy and if I dont stop immediately;I would throw up..

But if it's a private vehicle and the AC is circulating well;I enjoy the journey, also if I'm driving I dont get the motion sickness..

I dislike anything that will make me travel with public bus though;cos even with the front sit and we enter traffic;I will start sweating from my head like "Christmas fowl"πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

If I want to clear my goods in Lagos for example ,I will wait for empty bus so I can sit at front sit but funny enough one elder will come and want to push me inside and when I respectfully say No;come and see talks like "you dont respect your elder,is it your fathers car? Dont you want to get to my age? Etc etc

But I cant be going around explaining "Oga elder I will vomit oooo"πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ so it's for your own safety and for you not to feel irritated..

I dey always carry small #30 nylon in my pocket in case of bus emergency outside Alaba cos I'm always on bike for a normal biz day within..
