ReplyDeleteI opened a cosmetic shop a year ago and my rent has expired but the goods I bought since then (I never went to market again because of no sales) are still here, some untouched while some few sold out.
I've packed them and their are in my room right now, I don't have anywhere to go shade them and I don't think any of these stores will want to buy them since it's been over a year.
Please, what do I do? I'm just tired and confused.
I got on a wrong location because of scarcity of shop.
I did not even realize the money I used in paying for the shop in cash, talk more of the capital.
Please, is there any way I can realize some money from these leftovers?
All I think of now is to throw them away.
No, I won't give them away to anybody in this my place.

The sleepless nights, discomforts, expectations of having an addition to the family, the joy of getting to finally have the baby, labour pains, all gone for nothing. Of course she's grateful she didn't loose her life in the process, everyone is grateful. It's sad the baby had to go but she's alive to tell how she passed through the process. On getting home, he started keeping a straight face, he would not ask how she's feeling, if she has eaten, taken her drugs, comfort her, nor reassure her all would be fine and another baby will come. Rather, he would get ready and leave like nothing happened. Of course he's also passing through the pains of loosing a baby, what happens to coming close, she needs you now more than ever before, while you both comfort and reassure each other. What was the reason for your attitude? You felt she was the one who killed the baby! According to him, she deliberately closed her legs during delivery so the baby would die. Really? How insensitive, inconsiderate and deliberately Callous can one be! Who in her right mind would want a child dead and wait till it's delivery time, risking her life to take the life of one she carried nine months? Which will she now have to deal with, the pain of loosing the baby or your hurtful and insensitive comment.

Expect some pain, some joy, some bad days and also some exciting good ones. The fact that we've been taught that nothing bad should happen to good people and those who perform certain rituals are exempt from life's blows is one of the reasons we suffer.
ReplyDeleteTo not want to be inconvenienced or pained is to not want to grow. With change comes deep discomfort. We've been thought positive mindset so much we have also unconsciously been programmed never to see defeat and affliction as normal life's ingredient. The clinically depressed who is always looking out for evil in the world may not be too different from he that believes only good can and should happen to them. These extreme living is at the core of the agony we feel.
If you've lost something or an apportunity, you also need to acknowledge that you've gained somethings. You've gain experience, with hindsight, you've gained knowledge on how not to, you've gained valuable life lessons and in some cases some tangible material things too. Minus 1 plus 1 brings us back to our state of equilibrium. It's not all losses. The fact that we expect life to always be a long series of wins is the reason we're frustrated because real life is hardly that way. We win some and lose some. We fall and then rise. Victory here, defeat there. Nothing is ever in a permanent consistent state. You feel bad right now. But yes it is just a feeling. It isn't real. Feelings are fickle. Gratitude over what's going well will help you feel much better.

ReplyDeleteSince when has the educated east fallen this unintelligent east? One week sit at home? That's the height of cultural crudity. Haven't we spared this rod enough? Cause this child seems to be getting worse everyday. Instead of channeling all these threats into intelligence or intellectual surprises, we are walking on the precipice of outdated mainstay. The evil pregnancy will soon give birth, I hope it's will not be late then.
On Tiwa's case. Many of us have been there unknowingly. The height of our hypocrisy is what alarms me the most, with our judgemental disposition to what many of us had or still do. We should always look deep in our conscience before outrightly condemning someone else. Because mistakes are part of the roads we cross in our daily walks. No matter how smart or civil we are, there's always a foolishness in the things we do.
