  1. THE CHILD WHO NEEDS YOU MOST.

'When he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion.' Luke 15:20 NKJV

Good parents try to love all their children equally. But sometimes it's the child who needs us most who becomes the special object of our love.
Author and humourist Erma Bombeck once wrote: 'Every mother has a favourite child. She cannot help it. She is only human. I have mine - the child for whom I feel a special closeness, with whom I share a love that no one else could possibly understand. My favourite child was the one who was too sick to eat ice cream at his birthday party, who had measles at Christmas, who wore leg braces to bed because he toed in, who had a fever in the middle of the night, the asthma attack, the child in my arms at the emergency ward. My favourite child is the one who messed up the piano recital, misspelled committee in a spelling bee, ran the wrong way with the football, and had his bike stolen because he was careless. My favourite child was selfish, immature, bad tempered and self-centred. He was vulnerable, lonely, unsure of what he was doing in this world - and quite wonderful. All others have their favourite child. It is always the same one: the one who needs you at the moment. Who needs you for whatever reason - to cling to, to shout at, to hurt, to hug, to flatter, to reverse telephone charges to, to unload on - but mostly just to be there.'
Or as Jesus said about the Prodigal Son: 'When he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion' (Luke 15:20 NKJV).

  4. *QUOTE OF THE DAY*

Your life cannot change if you don't change it.

  5. Built To Overcome!!
    Colossians 1:9-11 NIV.

    Excerpts!!

"Don't faint in the day of adversity"

"Some people endure with tears, but our theme scripture says to do with joyfulness. Always remember, the contrary winds make your roots go deeper. The quality of your personality has to be tested. The bigger the trouble, the greater the victories. Without pressures your greatness may never manifest"

"Therefore, in the face of opposition, declare, Greater is He that's in me, than he that's in the world. James 1:2 says, My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into diverse temptations"

    Confession!!

I live in absolute victory, success and excellence! Irrespective of the difficulty or opposition, I have an ever-winning, joyous life, with dominion over circumstances. The challenges and crises of life are for my promotion, for I've been built to overcome. Hallelujah!

  15. Let me rant alittle about my Sunday.

Yesterday our prospective in-laws (my elder sister's hubby to be and his people) came to visit us. I sat with the guy's younger sister (an undergraduate) behind everyone. As the parents were talking and planning about the wedding, this girl beside me was just shouting "mad ooo".
Parents go talk something, madam go shout "mad oooo". my God I was so annoyed, you can't save yourself alittle and show some respect? Our generation and our silly ghetto slangs, besides isn't "mad ooo" last year's slangs? Who still dey shout "mad ooo" for 2021?

And no one could caution her so I just tolerated it until they left, we can't start having issues when we never even do wedding. We no go even get any issue forever, Amen.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You are just looking for issues where there is no issues. Free the poor girl to shout mad oh if that is making her happy. We humans love to make things look difficult when we should focus on important things.

Yoe shouting mad oh is just her way of expressing her happiness towards the up coming event.

    2. Mahn, Sandra. 🤦🏻‍♀️
if you can’t be excited for your sister, allow the girl to be excited for her brother.

Where elders are talking young ones should keep mum except they're called upon to speak...not to talk of shouting one nonsense slang... So much for a woke generation

    8. Sandra if I were you, I will just gently tap her or stare back at her and smile...If she is sensible, she will catch it...I believe her parents would have cautioned her on their way home...All the 'woke' rubbish needs to stop...C'mon even when elders are talking...Abeg Omenala is omenala...

What kind of dirty excitement is that.

I would even prefer if she claps or even shout yes o.

    12. Let's be honest that was rude. All "the mad o" supporters, perxian,mc and co can you guys tolerate such if your parents were in such a meeting discussing such serious issues and someone was shouting such? What you guys can never tolerate but you support for others. Mtshew.

  26. Let me take you down memory lane. Hopefully, this may stimulate your thought.

During the dark years of the notorious General Sanni Abacha, a poor criminal that became a rubie under military uniform, Nigerians were beseted with so many unexplained killings of the opposition to the military junta.

Recall that at a time these murders were blamed on NADECO by the military which forced some of the NADECO activists to go under ground. Fortunately, Dr. Arthur Nwankwo one of the founding members of NADECO narrated most of these events to me before he departed to be with the Lord.

At some point people were confused and some even blamed the deaths on other politicians.

Amongst the slain were Kudirat Abiola, Chief Alfred Rewane, Mrs Suliat Adedeji, Rear Admiral Olu Omotehinwa, Admiral Tunde Elegbede, Oluwatoyin Onagoruwa, Gen. Yar Adua etc.

Fortunately, after the death of Gen. Abacha Nigerians learnt from the horrific confession of Sergeant Barnabas Rogers that Gen. Abacha was behind the killings.

If Obasanjo who came back as President in 1999 did not force Sergeant Rogers to spill the beans during the Oputa panel with a promise to protect him, Nigerians may never have known what truly happened during this period.

However, what may also interest many of you is that at the period of these killings, Gen Mohammed Buhari the current president was with Gen. Abacha at Aso Rock. The same Buhari has been defending Abacha's action till date.

According to Buhari, Gen Abacha meant well for Nigeria. In other words he murdered these people and stole billions of dollars just to keep Nigeria together.

My problem is that many of you underrated the personality of Buhari. He may not be endowed academically but he is a calculated strategist and a vicious killer. From his antecedent, killing innocent people to advance his Fulani goals is his pastime.

We are talking of a man that paid Israeli Mossad to kidnap Umaru Dikko from the United Kingdom.

... a man that supported Abacha's numerous murder of innocent Nigerians.

... a man that sent his army to murder about 1000 Shite members for stopping Buratai convoy from progressing.

... a man that sent his army to murder more than 170 unarmed IPOB members across Igboland.

... a man that invited his Fulani brothers from across West Africa to come fight for lands with their brothers inside Nigeria

How some of you can't piece the recent events together is very baffling.

The balance of motive to kill Prof Akunyili falls more on the side of Buhari than any other group because of their desperation, history, antecedent, tribal objective etc. They may have calculated that a high profile murder will pitch the people against IPOB but they are terribly in error.

Buhari and DSS are the ones behind some of the high profile murders in Igboland. He deliberately enabled state of insecurity to destabilise the region with his political stooges. Their eyes are on 2023. He's not ready to hand over or conduct peaceful election.

Did you read DSS denying the murder of Professor Akunyili? What a plonker. For an arm a nation's secret service to come out to debunk the murder of a citizens says much about the outfit and the government of the day.

If you read some of my posts in the past, I told you that this is where we are headed to. I mentioned several times that the security architecture of the North has collapsed and Buhari and his moral urchins are on a vendetta mission to destroy the Igboland through targeted attacks.

They murdered Ahmed Gulak in Imo State and pinned it on IPOB. When the killers were apprehended they refused to disclose their identity till date.

Everyone should use their tongues to count their teeth.

We in Abuja know that if this present govt realise that a Hausa/Fulani can't win, they will make Nigeria worse than Afghanistan.

Keep calling IPOB until BH/ISWAP/Bandits knock on your door.
