Hailings......... who get sun and who get rain today?
SATURDAY CHRONICLE POSTER
I'm the poster of SATURDAY CHRONICLE. I didn't marry my friend because my wedding was so approaching and I didn't want to hurt/embarrass my wife. I offered to leave it all behind but my friend also didn't want to hurt the man she has "invested so much in."
Suffering and smiling is seen as a sign of being a good mother and wife. How well one can manage the house chores, cook and raise the kids with little or no help , condone cheating and other abusive behavior is seen as a badge of honour in Nigeria.
A woman with help is most times tagged as lazy. Forgetting that she strives to make a living and still faces the major task of managing the household.
When I was young we had this neighbour with two maids and two kids, I heard the other mothers make snide remarks, talking about how lazy she must be. Some even insinuated that she must be dirty for her to need two helps and small me would agree with them.
Now that I am older, experience has taught me that she was a wise woman. Thinking back at the situation she was working and hardly home with a husband that only visited three times a year. Getting help would have been the only way for her to keep her sanity.
Those backbiting neighbours were probably wishing they could get help to. Since I have realised chores no dey finish, I am more open to getting as much help as I can.
P.s Help here doesn’t refer to just maids, a washing machine, dish washer, grime buster, pressure cooker and all technological gadgets aimed at making life easier is part of help.
My dear and that is why i dont stress my self, I clean but have a cleaning lady, i iron and have some do the washing, I only cook when i am in the mood, other times, oga please cook or order for food... life is easy when your partner is understanding.....

She was just a little girl coming from school, that path was the shortest and easiest out of the military barrack. She was around 7years old and she didn't do anything to deserve being brutally raped.
I watched as she was carefully placed at the back seat of the vehicle, they were taking her to the hospital, her school uniform was soaked in blood, she had on a brown hijab, it was a gory sight.
How does anyone in their right mind lay their flirty hands on this poor harmless girl and take her innocence? How dare you Mr rapist? Did her parents do her a disservice by sending her to school? Shame on you for destroying her life, shame on you! May it never be well with your soul that's even if you have not died a painful and horrible death.. May the water of life take you away and drown you.....
Days later, she and her parents went to thank the Pastor who saw her in the bush, he was also the one that volunteered his car.. I just hope he wasn't the one who perpetrated that evil, Did I over-think things? Maybe I was being too paranoid and that's OK, I was also a girl child.
She seemed better and a bit calmer, appears she had gotten over the shock, she had on a faint smile.. There were many people in the sitting room, mostly adults and as they continued to chat, I walked through the wooden door with the memory that that little girl would forever be traumatized by the event.
And from that time, I hawk over my child with my life.
How can i unread this?... its horrible!!!

PINKYS CORNER
FI FO PATA (WASHING OF PANT)
I was so weak and tired after purging through out the night which has made me not to be able to go out this fateful day(30th Sept 2021). So I was home relaxing and taking chilled water to make my system reboot and come back to normal. Someone adviced me to take chilled sprite but me ke,if I try am then am in trouble because my body system works in a different way.
I had enough strength to get off the bed around 9am on dot and decided to just clean up everywhere and wash my dirty clothes. I began as planned ,washed not only mine but with my wife's own(Including the pant she dropped in the basket) but I forgot I washed that thing called p*nt so I went outside to spread those clothes on the rope provided for tenants, on getting there, there is this our neighbor who just gave birth, she was washing some clothes but I washed mine in the toilet then brought it out.
I quickly collected it and dropped it in the bucket then she continued "Iyawo yin nko" I replied her saying she has gone to work, thinking that was all then she said "eyin Le ba iyawo yin fo aso wan, etun fo pata wan na, e ma ku Ise ooo" then I said "ti nba fo ,ti tani ki nwa fo ooo". We laughed about it and I went inside not knowing the husband was around and they stay upstairs while we stay at the ground floor. After I got inside and went into the bathroom to have my bath then I heard the woman telling the husband what she just saw(note, where the woman was washing Is just right behind my bathroom window) then husband said "life ti wan niyen, sugbon emi o Le so Ra mi di aridin de bi pe, ma a ma go pata OBIRIN"(that's his own way,I won't be so stupid to do that). I just smiled and got busy with what I was doing.
My question is:. IT A SIN TO HELP YOUR WIFE TO WASH HER UNDIES OR A TABOO IN YOUR CULTURE?
Want to know your take on this.
Divine Health Confessions!!
ReplyDeleteI am an ambassador of Christ; I’m called to reign and rule in the Name of Jesus. I am the bearer and conveyor of divine verities. Through me, the light of the glorious Gospel is made manifest. I exude ever-increasing glory, ever-increasing success, ever-increasing victory and prosperity, and ever-increasing health. I am for signs and wonders. Praise God!
@Rhapsody
DeleteThanks.
2 Corinthians 5:20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal
through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
The main work of "Ambassadors of Christ" is to reconcile people to God. We can state all we are in Christ
but that won't get people to come to Christ. Jesus loves all.
God bless you Rapsophy
DeleteHallelujah. Amen!
DeleteWho else is watching "sex Education"? Otis and Eric π crazy characters. I'm on season 3 now and enjoying everybit of it.
ReplyDeleteMadam Nazarite ink, I always love your posts, but today's own is one kind. Please enjoy educate me cos I'm a baby Christian and I think you are way ahead in the Christian race since you are a Pastor's wife. So, is it okay for a Christian or child of God to lay curses on another person? Please, I need Bible verses to back this up. I want to learn something.
DeleteHi Tiana.. To answer your question.
DeleteI may be a Pastor's wife but am human first. That am a Pastor's wife doesn't not exclude me from the reality of humanity. My responsibility comes by the virtue of faithfulness 1 timothy 1:12, Infact, I honestly think been humane comes first when God is considering us for some delicate position,
Secondly, the story was documented in past tenses, reveals I was a child as at the time of the event, but I refuse to leave how I reacted/felt out of the story because it important to the story.
I Hope this answers your question.
@ Sandra i'm enjoying every part of it . I'm looking at the Headmaster Hope with side eyes. Am i the only one that thinks she is doing too much? My best character is Eric Effiong I love his Nigerian vibe and his dark chocolatey skin color.
DeleteLove your stories @ Nazarite ink
Delete@Love struck... Awwww.. Thank you so much. Glad you like them. Thank you Stella for the privilege.
DeleteLook at your circle of friends. What do they regularly discuss? Babes, guys, clubbing, designer clothes, football, etc.
ReplyDeleteSuch a circle will make you travel in circles.
You need a circle that talks business, progress and fitness, as well as pleasure.
In fact, not every person we call a hater or a fake friend is really one.
Sometimes, they are our realest friends, who stopped being polite, and started being honest, in order to save our lives.
Wounds from a sincere friend are better than kisses from an enemy”-Proverbs 27:6.. copied

Good afternoonππ
ReplyDeleteπ€π€
ReplyDeleteWhere are you at baby
DeleteGood Afternoon All.. IHN is here
ReplyDeletePleasant afternoon
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunny afternoon to y'all.
ReplyDeleteDo have a swell day.
Pinky there is nothing bad in washing the panties especially if your wife is tired or sick. When I just delivered, hubby washed mine. His mum could not even say a word because she knew I could not bend or do anything(CS things) and she cannot do it, so hubby did it until his young cousin that came took over.
ReplyDeleteis it only when a man is sick they wash his boxers? nothing wrong in washing for your wife sick or not. most women wash it themselves but if you find it in the basket then by all means do.
DeleteNothing bad in washing your wife's pants.
DeleteGod bless the givers.
That little girl...if only she would identify the rapist.. . and so shall the perpetrator's bloko send him to hell .
Older generations are very sanctimonious, find everything they do annoying and very impatient with the younger generations.
ReplyDeleteWhy? π
Simplistic generalisation
DeleteVery true,
DeleteThey be like i don't know what this generation is turning to, complain here and there.
I have met some old folks that are young at heart, very accomodating with new trends and all.
Y'all will say the same to your children's generation. In fact some of us are already saying the same thing about this generation on how they are dress naked. Our parents said same about ladies of our generation.
DeleteMrs Nazarite
ReplyDeleteYour narration today is horrifying and evil, wicked!
However, remember the position from which you are writing. "Dying a violent death" or being drowned isn't the prayer for this soul for whom Jesus died also.
May the Lord have mercy on that rapist and use him to save other rapists. And may all rapists reading this repent and believe in Jesus.
Nooo, nooo, nooo.. I disagree, Jesus died for who? Somebody that destroyed another person's innocent life, Haba! You self think about it now, does he deserve mercy?. God is not a fool, don't pray for rapist to repent, until they have suffered for their sins, Gos cannot have mercy, God cannot be mocked, .. I don't even understand you self... Rapists must suffer, if not, what's now the lot of the victim? Don't be naive.. Rapists will suffer.
DeleteArrrrgggghhhhh, Am so angry at this your comment.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that WHOEVER believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
DeleteYou see that "whoever" there, It means "whoever?"
And you know the rapist believes in Jesus how, 16:48?
DeleteWhy do we Christians act like curses are not part of our religion sometimes?? The bible is full of curses. Even when delivering messages, some people will will quote a curses before telling you.
DeleteThat young girl that was raped, I have tears in my eyes as I type this. Why is sexually attractive to a man in a small girl's body, a 7yrs old?
ReplyDeleteMay God Almighty punish all rapists so much that they will live to regret ever being born.
What is sexually attractive*
DeleteI just read the "cornflakes for jihad" story. I'm disturbed.
DeleteJust type "cornflakes for jihad" on your search bar.
On Google search bar
DeleteSo painfully painful. God pls protect us and ours Amen
DeleteGood afternoon my neighbours....... Please someone should help us with the translation of those yoruba words inugo, thanks in advance.
ReplyDeletePinky, don’t let anyone change u for doing what is just right. When u married ur wife, both of u became one, her panties became urs and ur boxers became hers. You washing her panties is just like u washing ur undies.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing great and I wish u a very satisfying marriage. Na man who treat their wives well na im dey get peace of mind for marriage
Loooool
DeleteLol @ her panties became yours....
DeleteOnly men with stupid ego will not wash their wife's undies. But them dey clean the plate with tongue
DeleteMtcheeeeew. Pinky kontunu. Leave making money and keep washing pant. Mtcheeeeew
Deleteπ€£π€£π€£Alright
DeleteSomeone should please tell Pinky to put translations in English language when ever he writes a conversation or anything at all in Yoruba. It helps those of us who are not speakers of the language to understand the write-up. Thanks.
DeleteI don't know how some men get aroused to the point of raping .I feel pained for the little girl, I pray she is surrounded by much love and a therapist to help her not dwell on what happened to her.
ReplyDeleteI was down with Typhoid escorted by Catarrh about a week after the wedding.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby washed my undies and cleaning me up.
When I objected to the pant aspect, he said 'What's there'???
Is it not bra & pant
Would an outsider wash it while am here with you?
So yea!! Its no big deal
But we( ladies) shouldn't take it as bragging rights to the gist table
Omo this October na fire. See jist everywhere.

ReplyDeleteRape, rape, rape. No wonder my father beat the hell out of me the day i told him i missed my way in Mushin, Lagos. I was returning from school and trying to do short cut. I no come know road again. Started walking about in mushin. My father gave me mark that day. The fear of mushin boys....
ReplyDeleteOremi na for olorunimbe street by that Oando filling station link road you loss?
DeleteThe road koro from that angle na helele
@Abionah, your father beating the hell out of you wouldn't do much. He should have called you and have a candid talk with you. You didn't miss your way on purpose, so it is no fault of yours.
DeleteYorubas have a way of reading meaning to every thing, that is why if they know you help your wife in some certain areas, they term you weak...God will help us. I married a typical one. They even categorize some chores for women.it is well
ReplyDeleteNot only Yourbas. It is not a tribal thing but an individual thing. My hubby is Yoruba and he doesn't see anything wrong with it
DeleteIt's sunny here...
ReplyDeleteMr pinky , there is nothing wrong in washing your wife's panties.
ReplyDeleteRapists are one of the reasons women and girls should be declared endangered specie. If you go to India, you will weep. Its time stiffer penalty are imposed, like cutting their d**k of or something more cruel, that way,it will serve as deterrent to others. High time taewando, knife skills, self defense skills are generally introduced to curriculum, society and religion also shy away from this topic, making it more complex. Am waiting to attend a church service one day, and Pastor is screaming, "Rapist! Desist or you will burn".. As for me o, am highly suspicion, can't leave my kid with any damn person, na one eye I dey take sleep, make God help me.
ReplyDeleteThere is no big deal I'm washing your wife's panties. I'm not married yet but my ex boyfriend washes my panties. Why he no go wash am now sebi he sabi pull am so he must wash because I wash him boxers too occasionally. There is no manual for a happy marriage. Do what works for you and let others breath
ReplyDeleteIf you can go in raw n also eat her kundus, u can also wash her dross.
ReplyDeleteThank you o. You lick the kundus and suck it dry but you cannot wash pantiesπππ
DeleteSpoilt children this afternoon
DeleteA man that cannot wash his wife's undies but can wash the veejay with his full mouth/tongue is a hypocrite.
ReplyDeleteMr Okon told his new neighbor not to help his pregnant wife fetch water from the tank downstairs to their flat upstairs because the pumping machine was faulty, that he would loose his dignity as a man,the next day morning,Mr new neighbor saw Mr Okon fetching water from the tank and carrying it all by himself to his flat, his wife was sitting beside the tank telling him sweet stories and he was laughing, happily fetching and carrying buckets of water he advised another man not to do for his own wife.
Good afternoon to you allππ
