She seizes every moment to talk about the birth of Baby Maxin, encouraging others to dream and believe.
In an interview on 'Obranewoaa' show on GHOne TV, monitored by Pulse.com.gh, the celebrated actress made it emphatic that no woman above the age of 40 is happy to be childless.
"Societal pressures sometimes prevent many women who are childless to voice out and get helped," she said.
The 44-year-old urged Ghanaians to stop inundating barren women with questions about when they will give birth. People like that are those who need words of encouragement the most, according to her.
She revealed to the hostess about the number of times she had to wash her womb just to conceive and added that pressure from society forced her to undergo various treatments in an attempt to save her marriage by giving birth.
“I have washed my womb six times. I went as far as Koforidua and the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. I also did some at Medifem because I wanted a baby,” she said.

The pain of a TTC woman can never be fully understood by someone not in their shoes.
ReplyDeleteLord pls, hear the prayers of my friends Chi. A and Aunty N. Pls let them carry a child in their womb and give birth to a healthy child in the nearest future. Amen.

DeleteEka,I wish everyone that has people Ttcing around them pray for them but don't stress them with questions and pity!
DeleteFor good I week now I have been feeling sad, moody and frustrated because of this issue,I have done everything,I know to do on me but hasn't succeeded,I have even gotten tired of praying (I hate to say it) but I mean it!
Iam so exhausted that sometimes I feel I want to run away to go to where people don't know me, and start life without all these pains and humiliation!
Amen Amen by blood of Jesus
DeleteAnon14:+4. You know, right? Sometimes I just want to disappear too. The humiliation is too much. But hold on dear. Our testimonies are around the corner.
Delete#WhatGodCannotDoDoesNotExist.
Anon 14:14, I had to developed thick skin. I did not let comments get to me. At a point, I lost the marriage and I don't even know how to start afresh with another man with the way men are telling lies all over the place so how do I even start. I don't want a sperm donor, I could have gone for IVF, I want somebody I know even if he doesn't want to be in my life afterwards. Today my elder sister made me feel very bad. When my nephews and nieces do something wrong, I'm even scared of scolding them because of the responses I will get from my eldest sister. I have been there for everybody but they all think I don't have problems. Money doesn't solve some problems.
DeleteMy heart goes out to all of you for real and I hope God will bless you with a child to call ur own. In the mean time, will you consider adoption? Loving another child genuinely like ur own I believe also does wonders, just my own belief tho.
DeleteHow can one be TTCing and be as wicked as Jezebel? How can u constantly curse unbeatable pains to others when u r asking God 4 something as previous as a child?
DeleteI no be God o, but if I where, I will drop a ROCK in Ur womb.
There is nothing like "washing of wombs" in medical science.
ReplyDeleteWhat the lay people call washing of womb is hysterosalpingogram which is an
investigative technique to determine the patency of the fallopean tubes.
Contrast fluids are injected into the cervix to fill the womb and spill via the fallopean tubes. This shows on x-ray.
I am only mentioning it here so that many do not rush to teaching hospitals and tell the Gynae to "wash their wombs"
Thanks for the explanation. I was wondering what womb washing meant
DeleteThank you very much.
DeleteI appreciate this your comment.
We learn everyday.
Apt 👌.
DeleteThanks so much for explaining the meaning
DeleteAnonymous 11:40 This is not the same thing as a HSG. I do know that a saline flush can actually be done to clear the uterine lining of debris and tissue so as to encourage implantation. Thus us especially done close to ovulation.
DeleteHSG. So painful. I did it in my quest for children. Vomitting after the procedure. Couldnt walk. Had to wait for hubby to take me home. Oh Lord, women do suffer.
DeleteTo all those (GTC)going to conceive, know it that theres
Congratulations to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful momma and baby.
ReplyDeleteNawa o, God be praised. How do people say to someone who is obviously having issues conceiving,'when will you conceive?'. No empathy at all.
ReplyDeleteThat's how one pastor said to the singles, the reason why most of them are not married is because they don't smile a lot. I listened carefully to that sentence and wondered how the singles would feel,I began to recall lots of people who are married who didn't have a 'opening teeth' not to talk of smiling face. Our race are different, what is fighting everyone is different,if things are working for you, don't think it's because you are deserving of it and the other person is not.Lets be empathetic always because we don't know the demons people are dealing with.
Is that not how some people tell people, when are you getting married? All your friends are married, what is happening? Are you not yet in school? Go and find something doing etc. All sort of rubbish.
DeleteThis shall be the testimony of all TTC women/mothers.
ReplyDeleteAmen..

DeleteSo she knows how the billions of women feel. Trust me there are women over 40 who are beyond happy to be childless. There are even women who have children who regret ever having one. Never presume to know how anybody is feeling.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you and your child.
In Africa, no woman would be happy to be childless

ReplyDeleteI have been believing God for my own baby for seven years of marriage now. Have had a couple of miscarriages but I know God will do it for me in his own time. I am a foster mom to my nephew and it has really been a blessing to me. I love him like he were my own son and the undiluted love of a child is a balm to every hurting heart. Fostering him is the best decision I ever took and I would adopt a child if God gives me a chance. TTC ladies...I believe fostering a child will greatly provide some form of solace in the waiting years, trust me.
